I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 63
Chapter 63: Chapter 63
As the news of the arrest and impending trial spread, the public began to react. Some were outraged, demanding justice for the victims and their families. Others were skeptical, wondering how long it had taken for the authorities to finally take action.
The Monfort Court House of Heroes was packed with people, all eager to see Arkus Maguire whether he will be guilty or not. The air was thick with anticipation as the proceedings began.
The prosecution led by a judge which is a Hero that has the ability to detect lies, presented their case against Arkus Maguire. The first witness, Sir Nolan, took the stand, his eyes fixed on Arkus as he began to recount the events leading up to Kaelith’s death.
"When we went to the Spire of the Damned to subjugate it, Arkus Maguire was acting strangely that day," Sir Nolan said, his voice steady. "He was argumentative and aggressive, and before I lost my consciousness because of the Chromids, I saw him arguing with Kaelith near the cliff . I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now I realize that it was a crucial moment in the sequence of events that led to Kaelith’s murder."
Sir Adriel, the next witness, corroborated Sir Nolan’s testimony.
"I was also a part of the squad. Although I didn’t see the whole incident, I have a camera recorder with me at that time and it showed the footage of Arkus mercilessly killing Sir Kaelith."
The prosecutor presented the video clip as evidence along with Arkus’ spear.
Arkus’ face turned white as a paper when he saw the weapon.
"H-How? How did you get that?!"
He can’t help but unintentionally yelled, his face turning red with rage while pointing at the weapon.
Arkus’s eyes seemed to glaze over as he stared at the footage, his expression unreadable. But as the evidence mounted against him, he began to fidget and sweat.
However, they ignored him as the courtroom was in stunned silence as they watched the video. The camera footage, grainy but clear, showed Arkus’ spear piercing Kaelith’s chest followed by the moment he was pushed off the cliff, all they can hear was Arkus’ maniacal laugh. The video was devastating as the courtroom was filled with murmurs and gasps.
Arkus continued to rant and rave, his eyes flashing with anger.
"That is not me! I was framed! Someone edited that video clearly!"
The judge glared at Arkus, his ears was twitching since the moment he opened his mouth, he was sick of his lies. His ears only twitch when someone lies to him and so far, the only one who’s lying is Arkus’ side.
"Arkus Maguire, you are under oath. You will respect this court and its proceedings. If you continue to disrupt the trial, you will be held in contempt of court."
The prosecutor on Arkus’ side is slowly starting to get annoyed.
’If only he could keep his mouth shut. Who did he fought with anyway? It seems that they prepared this so I couldn’t defend or find any loopholes.’
There are also other employees of Arkus who testified were just as devastating in their accounts. They spoke of the constant fear and anxiety they had lived with under Arkus’s rule, and of the ways in which they had been forced to compromise their values and morals in order to survive.
As the trial progressed, it became clear that Arkus’s reputation as a hero had been built on lies and deceit. The evidence presented showed a pattern of corruption, fraud, and abuse of power.
The prosecution rested its case, leaving Arkus’s defense team scrambling to present their own evidence. Arkus himself did not take the stand, choosing instead to remain silent and sullen throughout the proceedings. His lawyers tried to poke holes in the witnesses’ testimonies but it was too little, too late. The jury was convinced that Arkus was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
As the verdict was read aloud - guilty on all counts - the courtroom erupted into chaos. Some in attendance cheered and applauded, while others wept and mourned for Kaelith’s loss.
"He should be the one who was built on statue!"
"This was the reason why his statue was destroyed in the first place!"
"He ain’t no Hero! He just took what the other should have!"
"Kill that motherf*cker! He had killed countless of lives! He should have the death penalty!"
"He’s a disgrace to other heroes out there!"
Arkus himself seemed stunned, his face pale and drawn. He looked around at the sea of angry faces before him, his eyes searching for an escape route. But there was none.
As he was led away from the courthouse, he was immediately swarmed by dozens of news reporters and camera crews. The air was thick with the hum of cameras and the chatter of reporters, all vying for a piece of the story.
Amidst the chaos, Arkus’s eyes scanned the crowd, his gaze darting from one face to another. And then, suddenly, he spotted Remillia standing just beyond the throng of reporters. His eyes locked onto her, and his face contorted in a mixture of rage and desperation when he noticed that she was smirking at him.
He can’t help but notice that he seems to know that face. That’s when he remembered the detective’s report along with a picture attached.
’Remillia! This bitch was here all along!’
"You won’t get away with this, you b!tch!" he suddenly screamed, his voice carrying above the noises of the crowd. "You fuck!ng ruined my life!"
The reporters around him stopped in their tracks, their eyes fixed on Arkus as he went berserk and tried to run but the agents were holding him tightly, unable to make a move. Remillia, however, had already begun to move away from the scene, her face set in a victory smile.
As Arkus continued to shout at her, the reporters looked around to see where he was pointing. But Remillia was already gone, lost in the sea of people crowding in front of the courthouse.
The scene was chaotic and disorganized, with reporters shouting questions and Arkus’s angry voice echoing through the air.
As she emerged onto the streets beyond the courthouse, she finally took a deep breath.
’This will immediately spread like wildfire later. Hopefully, the history will change later on.’
Might as well not worry about that. Now that Arkus is finally in jail, it’s time to say goodbye to the two.

They met up in a restaurant to celebrate their success.
"Sir Nolan, sir Adriel, thank you both for coming. I don’t know what I would have done without your testimonies."
Sir Nolan nodded, his eyes showed sadness but still smiled reassuringly at me.
"We’re just glad that we could finally shed light to what happened to Sir Kaelith. His memory will live on."
Sir Adriel also nodded in agreement.
"It’s all thanks to you. Without you, we would have never defended Sir Kaelith’s honor."
A waitress appeared and placed their food on the table.
"Here’s your order sir, ma’am."
While they were enjoying the food in silence, Remillia questioned Sir Nolan.
"Sir Nolan, where would you stay for the time being?"
Sir Adriel answered instead.
"Oh he would work for me in the restaurant."
Remillia raised her eyebrow.
"And why’s that?"
"Since he mentioned that he liked to start beekeeping, might as well start a business with him."
Remillia nodded in agreement.
"That’s good then."
She stood up and bowed to them.
"It’s sad for me to say this but I can’t accompany you any longer. I still have some things to do. Say ’hi’ to Granny Kara for me."
"We’ll keep in touch with you. If you need help, just call us. We owe you this much."
The two bade her goodbye as she went out of the restaurant.
She received multiple messages from a group chat named, ’The Rascals’. I don’t know who named the group chat but she was guessing that it must be Rex. They were all questioning where she went and if she had anything to do with the news reported.
She didn’t bother replying to them as she went back to the hotel to pack her stuffs.
’Oh sh!t I forgot about Macaron. He must be sulking in any corner of this city.’
I called out his name.
Nothing.
I called out again.
<What?>
’Are you mad?’
<No. Heck, I’m having the great time of my life! There’s this forest that are full of food!>
And here I thought he was cursing me to death for leaving him out there.
’Meet me at the entrance of Monfort Hotel. We’re going back to the Academy. My job here is done.’
<Awww. We’ll go back to that old boring place again?>
’Even I don’t want to go to that place again. ’
<Then don’t go then. Don’t you want to live stress free?>
’Stress free my @ss. I need to stick to the main characters as much as possible.’
<Where are you now anyway?>
’I’m stepping out the elevator now.’
<When you exit, look up at the nearest tree.>
I did what he told and sure enough he was flexing his new look, his feathers seemed to become glowing as it was hit by rays of sunshine.
’Just come down here.’
