If You Could Hear My Heart-Chapter 1671: The Way You Smile, Enchantingly Beautiful (3)
"I’ll say it again, will you apologize or not?" Wen Zhiyuan asked coldly.
His gaze was like a sharp knife, landing on Gu Luoluo’s face.
Gu Luoluo bit her lip, stubbornly saying, "No..."
She simply wouldn’t apologize, wouldn’t apologize!
She wasn’t wrong!
Wen Zhiyuan’s hand moved up a little, his index finger pressing on her carotid artery.
Gu Luoluo’s throat itched, wanting to cough but unable to, feeling extremely uncomfortable, an aching discomfort. She glared fiercely at Wen Zhiyuan, refusing to relent.
Wen Zhiyuan released his hand just as she was about to suffocate, but tightened his grip on her neck again within two seconds.
"Will you apologize?"
Gu Luoluo felt like she was going crazy, her brain starting to go blank from the lack of oxygen, her hands weakly falling on Wen Zhiyuan’s hand but unable to exert any strength.
Ling Feng signaled to Gu Luoluo with his eyes, suggesting not to suffer temporary losses.
Gu Luoluo gritted her teeth, finally squeezing out a word: "Apologize..."
Wen Zhiyuan released his grip, but his right hand still held her neck while he activated his phone’s recording.
"Explain the whole sequence of events," Wen Zhiyuan said.
"Today I was wrong, deliberately made Sister Shen angry, and I didn’t expect Sister Shen’s old ailment to recur. Although I know Sister Shen’s illness cannot be cured, I shouldn’t have provoked her." Gu Luoluo said blandly, without any sincerity, "I apologize to Sister Shen, sincerely apologize."
"Do it again!" Wen Zhiyuan insisted.
Gu Luoluo glared at Wen Zhiyuan: "What more do you want from my apology?"
"Just apologize straightforwardly! No nonsense!"
"Fine, Shen Di, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Is that enough?" Gu Luoluo’s face still maintained the posture of a victor.
Wen Zhiyuan finally let it go, resolving to deal with her if she made another mistake in the future.
Seeing Wen Zhiyuan put away his phone, Gu Luoluo coolly said: "I don’t need to bother with someone who won’t live past tomorrow. I’ll watch her step by step..."
"Get out!" Wen Zhiyuan furrowed his brow, shouting at Gu Luoluo.
He wouldn’t allow anyone to say anything bad about her, even though he knew her situation better than anyone.
Ling Feng already stood holding the wall, he pushed Gu Luoluo: "Go!"
"Why push me, am I wrong? Just a short-lived ghost!" Gu Luoluo muttered.
Soon, Ling Feng pushed Gu Luoluo away, leaving only Wen Zhiyuan outside in the open space.
He punched the wall, a huge sense of powerlessness spreading through his heart...
The sunlight glaring in his eyes, blindingly white and piercing.
"Dr. Wen..." Shen Di’s gentle voice came from behind.
Wen Zhiyuan quickly changed his expression, turned his head, slightly curving his lips: "Why are you out? When did you come out?"
"Just now." Shen Di smiled.
Her smile was warmer than the sun, yet much softer.
Her smile was enough to dispel the gloom in his heart, and he smiled too: "Are you getting ready to try on the dress?"
"Yes." Shen Di smiled, "It’s a shame that the two I liked were taken by Gu Luoluo. I don’t plan to choose anymore, just wear this one. What do you think?"
Wen Zhiyuan reached for her arm, guiding her away from there.
"Hey, where are you taking me?" Shen Di asked softly, her big eyes looking at Wen Zhiyuan.
"Taking you to buy one."
"No need, it’s just for one occasion, I don’t usually wear dresses, it’s a waste."
"If Gu Luoluo ever wants anything else from you, just give it to her, don’t make yourself sick over it. With me, you can have something better."
Wen Zhiyuan spoke subtly and ambiguously, prompting Shen Di to bite her lip instantly.
Wen Zhiyuan took her into the car, drove away heading to the mall.
The car had the air conditioning on, it was cool.
Shen Di glanced at him: "I wasn’t angry."
Wen Zhiyuan was driving, hearing her say this, he laughed and turned his head: "Silly girl..."
"..."
Wen Zhiyuan felt helpless yet full of affection.
This girl was simply too innocent, too foolish.
In the car, Shen Di didn’t know what to say to Wen Zhiyuan, so she chose to remain silent.
But not speaking was awkward, so she said: "You came rushing over, haven’t you... had breakfast?"
"It’s okay, I don’t mind if I eat or not."
"You’re a doctor, not eating breakfast is bad." Shen Di retorted.
"Since you told me to eat, shall we go to a breakfast shop?"
"I’ve already eaten."
"Won’t accompany me to eat?" Wen Zhiyuan glanced at her.
Shen Di remembered it was his birthday today, so she nodded: "I’ll join you."
Wen Zhiyuan smiled, this was probably his most unforgettable birthday, it seemed like last year’s birthday wish had come true.
Wen Zhiyuan seldom went out for breakfast, his family had staff, so he didn’t need to eat out.
However, in front of Shen Di, he only told her he was a doctor who graduated not long ago, had little savings, and his overseas study was through a school quota.
This way, Shen Di allowed him to stay in her villa instead of going home.
Wen Zhiyuan chose a tea house, usually, he preferred coffee in the morning to stay alert during surgeries.
"Dr. Wen, you should drink something good for your stomach in the morning." Shen Di tried to stop seeing him order coffee.
"Oh, listening to you." Wen Zhiyuan obediently removed the coffee from the menu, ordering a glass of milk instead.
"I was just suggesting." Shen Di quickly clarified, not expecting Wen Zhiyuan to agree so easily.
"You’re right, listening to you."
Shen Di casually asked: "What if I say something wrong then?"
"Still listening to you." Wen Zhiyuan smiled, closing the menu.
Shen Di’s face flushed slightly, quickly lowering her head.
The feeling in her heart slowly spread, bit by bit permeating into her whole being.
Since Shen Di had already eaten breakfast, Wen Zhiyuan only ordered a glass of juice for her.
The seat was by the window, the morning sunlight wasn’t harsh, rather gentle.
The haze in Shen Di’s heart gradually dissipated, she bit the straw, sometimes resting her head to watch Wen Zhiyuan, sometimes looking out the window.
Most of the time, Wen Zhiyuan was finding topics to talk about, she just responded with a word or a nod.
Wen Zhiyuan realized this girl wasn’t introverted; she just didn’t have anyone to talk to, so over time, she didn’t want to open up to anyone.
"Dr. Wen, those two people in the morning..." Shen Di asked softly.
Wen Zhiyuan seemed dismissive, replying lightly: "Chased them away, if they dare bother you again, just tell me."
"I don’t get angry with them. If I did, I wouldn’t still be alive." Shen Di smiled, but there was a hint of bitterness in the smile.
