"WHAT ARE you doing here, Park Kyumin? I don’t remember inviting you."

Wonyoung thought Yun Dujun was being too cold and too blunt towards Park Kyumin, but he was secretly loving it.

It’s not that I want Hyung to be rude to everyone who’s not me. But I’m happy that he knows how to put a boundary between himself and someone who crossed the line. It makes me confident that Hyung is really loyal to me.

"Oh, I’m sorry, Dujun Hyung-nim," Park Kyumin said, obviously embarrassed. "I got excited when I heard that you’re having a photoshoot today, so I went ahead and invited myself here."

Wonyoung almost raised an eyebrow.

He got excited because...?

"All’s well that ends well since I have a meeting with Park Kyumin and his team tomorrow anyway," Kang Hyuna said while patting Park Kyumin’s back. "And don’t scold this kid, Dujun-ssi. He didn’t come empty-handed— he brought a coffee truck and a food truck for everyone."

"I also hired a catering service that will take care of our lunch onwards," Yun Dujun said. Not only did the Alpha hire an elite catering service, but they also brought coffee and sandwiches for everyone when they arrived earlier. "But I guess it’s not bad to have more food and drinks for the staff members."

"Right?" Kang Hyuna agreed. "This is why I love working with generous people."

"Hyung-nim, who is that person next to you?" Park Kyumin asked curiously. "This is the first time I’ve seen him."

"This is Actor Bae Wonyoung. He recently signed with Hanbyeol Entertainment," Park Dujun said proudly. "He’s also my hoobae from my alma mater. We were in the same theatre club." The Alpha then turned to Wonyoung. "Hoobae-nim, this is Actor Park Kyumin. We recently worked together in a drama."

Wonyoung and Park Kyumin then exchanged polite greetings with each other.

Fortunately, Dujun Hyung acted like a normal sunbae.

"Yonhee Theatre Club is known for having high standards when it comes to accepting members, and the club has produced a stellar roster of actors and actresses," Park Kyumin said, obviously impressed. Well, Yonhee University was already a prestigious school. Just getting accepted there was already a huge deal. So, whether Wonyoung was a part of the theatre club or not, the actor would still remain impressed. "Wonyoung-ssi, I’m already looking forward to working with you in the future."

Wonyoung smiled and nodded. "I’m also looking forward to it, Kyumin Sunbae-nim."

Wonyoung couldn’t help but laugh while listening to Kang Hyuna shower Yun Dujun with praises.

The photographer’s mouth was faster than the clicking sounds of her camera.

Hyuna-ssi must really like Dujun Hyung’s face.

Plus, Yun Dujun had no bad angle.

Hence, even if the Alpha just moved a little, he still looked great.

I’m slightly insecure of him since Heeju Ahjussi was a big part of Dujun Hyung’s life in the first timeline.

"I heard Dujun Hyung-nim is preparing for an audition."

"Audition?" Wonyoung asked curiously. After all, it was the first time he heard about Yun Dujun preparing for an audition. The Alpha didn’t mention something like that before. "I’m sorry, but Dujun Sunbae-nim hasn’t told me anything about it."

"Ah, you’re new to the company. So, even if you are Dujun Hyung-nim’s hoobae, you’re probably not close enough to him yet for Hyung-nim to talk about his future plans."

Park Kyumin looked relieved and proud that Wonyoung didn’t know about the audition.

That was when the realization hit him.

Kyumin Sunbae-nim only asked about the audition to see how close I am to Dujun Hyung.

"It seems like you know about Dujun Sunbae-nim’s future plans, sir," Wonyoung said, sucking up to Park Kyumin because it was fun. "Can you tell me more about it? I want to be closer to Dujun Sunbae-nim as we’re working in the same company now. I’m asking you because it seems like the two of you are really close."

As if.

All of that was only lip service.

But it seemed to work because Park Kyumin’s face beamed.

This sunbae-nim is pretty gullible.

"I’m only telling you this because it seems like Dujun Hyung-nim trusts you," Park Kyumin said, smiling smugly. "As an actor, I’m sure you know Director Bang and his ’Childhood Series.’"

Oh.

Wonyoung nodded eagerly. "Of course, I know Director Bang and his hit duology."

Even before he fell into a comatose state, Director Bang was already a famous director whom the general public loved.

I became a fan after I watched Director Bang’s Childhood Friends.

It was a classic hit.

Before Wonyoung fell into a comatose state, there was a rumor that the second installment of the drama titled ’Childhood Dreams’ was already in the works.

Hence, when he woke up from his coma, he watched Childhood Dreams immediately.

As expected, it was another masterpiece from Director Bang.

Director Bang is really good at making dramas that revolve around nostalgia. Plus, his Childhood duology is like a warm meal and a safe space. He never fails to tell a story of love, friendship, and family in the most heartwarming way.

"It’s no longer a duology, Wonyoung-ah," Park Kyumin said. And, yes, the actor just addressed Wonyoung casually. "It’s now a trilogy."

Wonyoung gasped, genuinely surprised. "Really? That’s good news."

"The working title is ’Childhood Sweethearts.’ Apparently, it will be the last installment for Director Bang’s trilogy."

"That already sounds amazing..." Wonyoung trailed off, and then he furrowed his brows. "Sunbae-nim, are you trying to say that Dujun Sunbae-nim will audition for Director Bong’s new drama?"

But Director Bang’s new drama is a slice-of-life...

Park Kyumin laughed at Wonyoung’s reaction. "I know what you’re thinking, Wonyoung-ah. Dujun Hyung-nim doesn’t seem to suit Director Bang’s new drama, does he?"

"Uhm, I’m not saying it won’t suit Dujun Sunbae-nim. I just can’t picture it because Dujun Sunbae-nim has only done noir drama and action films recently..."

"And that’s probably why Dujun Hyung-nim wanted to audition for Director Bang’s new drama. I’m thinking he wants to change his image. It’s not good to be boxed into the same role again and again, after all."

Wonyoung knew that Park Kyumin was right.

Personally, he liked versatile actors.

Someone is jealous, huh?

"Hoobae-nim, it’s your turn," Yun Dujun said, looking down at Wonyoung and completely ignoring Park Kyumin, who greeted him. "Let’s have the glam team retouch your makeup, then I’ll give you pointers as to how to pose in front of the camera."

Wonyoung nodded, the weird feeling still lingering in his chest. "Alright, Sunbae-nim."

"DID PARK Kyumin say something weird to you, Wonyoung-ah?"

Wonyoung wasn’t surprised when Yun Dujun brought that up as soon as they were left alone in the dressing room.

The Alpha sent the glam team away after they were done with his make-up.

"No, Kyumin Sunbae-nim didn’t say anything weird, Hyung."

"Then why do you look upset?"

"Huh? Is that how I look right now?"

"Yes."

Oh.

"I’m not upset," Wonyoung denied while shaking his head. "Hyung, actually, Kyumin Sunbae-nim mentioned that you’re going to audition for Director Bang’s new drama."

It wasn’t a big deal.

I mean, it’s only natural for actors to try different genres.

So, he was surprised when the Alpha reacted unexpectedly.

Yun Dujun’s eyes widened a bit, his pupils shaking as if he were scared. "Did Park Kyumin say anything else?"

Okay, now this was suspicious.

Wonyoung raised an eyebrow. "Is there something you’d like to tell me, Hyung?"
