I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law-Chapter 131: BAD OMEN
"NOW that we’re done finalizing your schedule, let’s talk about Bae Wonyoung-ssi."
Yun Dujun gave Spencer Choi a weird look. "We’re also done talking about processing my divorce with Bae Wonyoung quietly. I will not let you scold me, Hyung. I’ve already had an earful from my family."
In fact, he was already dreading the moment Coach Kwon Taeyoo found out about the divorce.
I can already imagine my mentor saying, ’I told you so.’
"No, I don’t mean your divorce," Spencer Choi said, slightly more serious than earlier. "His drama has been delayed."
Yun Dujun furrowed his brows. "Why? I thought the problem had already been solved after you invested in the drama."
"Yes, but Actor Kim Seojun-ssi’s sponsor tried blocking Director Kang from booking a broadcast slot from all major networks, even from small cable channels."
"Just who is Kim Seojun’s sponsor?"
"Someone from Junsung Group, apparently."
"What? Lee Heeju’s company?"
Spencer Choi nodded. "As you know, Lee Heeju’s brothers are degenerates who have a tendency to obsess over pretty Omegas. One of them is probably backing Actor Kim Seojun-ssi, who’s known as one of the most beautiful Omegas in the industry. But since Junsung Group is a powerful chaebol family, not even my intel could tell me who among Lee Heeju’s brothers sponsors Actor Kim Seojun-ssi."
Haaah.
Yun Dujun was disappointed, but not surprised.
Chaebols and their dirty games.
"Anyway, Director Kang and Writer Shin have made a deal with the sponsor, so the bullying has stopped. But the drama has been delayed because Writer Shin is going to revise the script. The sponsor wanted them to create a new character for Actor Kim Seojun-ssi. That’s the deal that they made so that they could secure a broadcast slot."
Yun Dujun sighed. "Bae Wonyoung must be down, then. That drama is his debut project, after all. And he’s also the main lead."
"Yeah, so go and console the love of your life."
Yun Dujun was about to tell Spencer Choi to stop teasing him, but he got distracted when he got a call from Yun Inyeop.
It was a call he couldn’t ignore.
Hence, he excused himself and answered his older brother’s call.
"Yes, Hyung-nim?"
"Yun Dujun, just stay calm and listen to me carefully."
His older brother’s serious tone didn’t help Yun Dujun to calm down, though.
"What happened, Hyung-nim?"
"Yun Yuhyun is missing."
***
YUN DUJUN immediately rushed over to the location that his older brother sent him, with Han Myung driving as fast as he could.
We’ll probably get a lot of tickets later, but I don’t care about that.
Surprisingly, the location was the park near Yun Yuhyun’s kindergarten school.
When he arrived there, he was pretty surprised that the park had been closed off. Several black cars surrounded the area, and there were men in black suits.
They look like elite bodyguards.
Han Myung stood protectively in front of Yun Dujun, obviously on high alert.
But Han Myung quickly relaxed when they spotted some familiar faces.
"They are Vice Chairman Yun’s bodyguards."
The bodyguards who noticed Yun Dujun immediately made way for him.
He walked past everyone with quick steps until he finally saw his family.
Yun Inyeop was talking on the phone, his older brother’s expression dark.
Kang Chaein, his sister-in-law, was carrying the crying Yun Yunchae, who was also on the phone.
Yun Dujun also noticed two of his son’s friends.
The Jin Siblings, if I’m not mistaken.
There were also two unfamiliar children there, accompanied by an adult whom he didn’t recognize.
"Dujun-ah, you’re here."
Yun Dujun nodded politely. "Yes, Hyung-nim. How about my son? Have you found him yet?"
"Unfortunately, we haven’t found Yuhyun yet," Yun Inyeop said. "Have you called Bae Wonyoung?"
Yun Dujun shook his head. "I wanted to call Bae Wonyoung after I’ve already what happened."
After all, he didn’t want Bae Wonyoung to panic.
"Oh, I’m sorry, Dujun-ah," Kang Chaein, his sister-in-law, said. "We already called Wonyoung earlier. Yunchae felt guilty for letting Yuhyun out of her sight, so she wanted to personally apologize to you and Wonyoung."
"I’m sorry, Uncle Dujun," Yun Yunchae said between sobs, her eyes already red and puffy from crying. "I didn’t keep an eye on Yuhyun..."
The Jin Siblings also burst out crying, blaming themselves, too.
"Don’t cry, kids," Yun Dujun said calmly. He may appear calm on the outside, but he was not. "It’s not your fault."
He then turned to Aunt Rosa and Han Gunil— Yun Yuhyun’s nanny and bodyguard, respectively.
The two could only bow their heads in shame and apology.
Yun Yunchae’s nanny and bodyguard did the same.
"I already talked to them," Yun Inyeop said, patting Yun Dujun’s shoulder. "We’ll talk about their punishment later. For now, let’s focus on finding Yuhyun."
Yun Dujun nodded, looking at his older brother this time. "How did my son go missing, Hyung-nim?" He glanced at the two unfamiliar kids and the adult who seemed to be the children’s parent. "And who are those people?"
"Ah, right. One of those kids..." Yun Inyeop paused, his gaze went past Yun Dujun. "Ah, your husband is here."
"Dujun Hyung!"
When Yun Dujun turned around, he felt his heart sink when he saw how pale and worried Bae Wonyoung looked while running towards him.
I have to stay calm for the sake of my husband and son.
"Dujun Hyung, have you found Yuhyun yet?" Bae Wonyoung asked worriedly, grabbing Yun Dujun’s hands. "Please tell me you’ve already found our son, Hyung."
"I’m sorry, Wonyoung-ah," Yun Dujun said, his heart breaking for his husband who looked so devastated by the bad news. "But we’ll do everything we can to find our son."
Bae Wonyoung burst into tears. "Our baby..."
"We’ll find Yuhyun no matter what, Wonyoung-ah," Yun Dujun promised firmly, gathering the crying Bae Wonyoung in his arms. And then he looked at Yun Inyeop. "Hyung-nim, please tell us how our Yuhyun went missing."
***
WONYOUNG heard the story from Yun Inyeop, his brother-in-law.
They also heard the children’s account of the story.
Jin Jihyeok, his son’s close friend of the same age, said that Yun Yuhyun wanted to go see the ’wish-granting tree’ in that park.
He saw the tree, but he couldn’t care less about it.
Yuhyun-ah, just what kind of wish made you that desperate?
After hearing the story from Yun Yunchae and the Jin Siblings, they let the kids go home first.
Kang Chaein, his sister-in-law, volunteered to take the kids home.
But that didn’t mean all the children had already left.
There was an unfamiliar family left to share their side of the story.
"I’m Park Sohee, the mother of these twins— Woochul and Woosung," the pretty Omega, who looked very familiar to Wonyoung, introduced himself and his twins. "My son, Woosung, switched clothes with your son."
Oh.
"That’s Yuhyun’s jacket," Wonyoung said while looking at the jacket that the child, Kim Woosung, was wearing. "I know because I bought that one as a present..."
"I gave him my jacket, pretty Uncle," Kim Woosung said while looking up at Wonyoung with big, round eyes. "And I also lent Yuhyun money. He said he’ll pay me back later."
Yun Yuhyun borrowed money...?
Park Sohee’s face turned red as if he were embarrassed by what his son had just said. "Woosung-ah, it’s not the time for that." Then Park Sohee looked at Wonyoung and smiled apologetically. "I’m sorry."
"No, it’s okay," Wonyoung said to Park Sohee, and then he looked at Kim Woosung. "We’ll return your money, Woosung-ah. Thank you for lending it to my son. How much do we owe you?"
"I gave Yuhyun all my money," Kim Woosung said brightly. "But I don’t know how much!"
Aigoo.
"My brother has twenty 50k won bills in his allowance pouch," Kim Woochul, Kim Woosung’s twin brother, said politely. "My brother has 1 million won, pretty Uncle."
Wow.
A kid was carrying that much money?
As expected, these kids are from an affluent family.
Just one look at the three and Wonyoung could already tell that his Park Sohee and his twins were rich rich.
Plus, the family have their own bodyguards.
"Honey, you’re back."
Oh.
Wonyoung turned to the man who went straight to Park Sohee.
Oh, that guy was an Alpha.
Ah, he must be the twins’ father.
"Dujun-ah, Bae Wonyoung, this is Kim Heedo," Yun Inyeop said, introducing the Alpha to them. "He’s the one helping us find Yuhyun."
"Kim Heedo?" Yun Dujun asked in disbelief. "The heir of Ilsung Group?"
Wonyoung almost choked on his saliva.
THE Ilsung Group?
One of the top 3 chaebol families?!
"Hello. I’m Kim Heedo," the chaebol greeted them politely after their introductions. "Dujun-ssi, Wonyoung-ssi, we found a video that showed what may have happened to your son."
I don’t like his tone.
"What did you see in the video?" Wonyoung asked nervously. "What happened to Yuhyun?"
Kim Heedo flinched before answering. "We believe your son was kidnapped."
***
WONYOUNG, Yun Dujun, and Yun Inyeop— along with their bodyguards— followed Kim Heedo and his family to a building near the park.
There, they entered a room full of CCTV monitors.
He didn’t question how Kim Heedo had access to that place.
I’ve long known that chaebols of this country can do whatever they want.
Moreover, he didn’t have the time to care about that when he finally saw the footage that made Kim Heedo say that Yun Yuhyun was kidnapped.
The video showed Yun Yuhyun standing in front of the tree.
Then, all of a sudden, a huge man wearing a hooded jacket appeared from behind the kid.
Wonyoung gasped when that stranger suddenly covered Yun Yuhyun’s mouth and picked the child up— then the kidnapper ran towards the waiting van, with the now-unconscious Yun Yuhyun in his arms.
My baby...!
