"No, I was just surprised," Wonyoung said. He really didn’t hate it, and he didn’t want to hurt his son’s feelings either. So, he thought he responded properly. "Yuhyun-ah, do you hate being apart from your daddy?"

Yeah, it was a stupid question.

After all, Wonyoung knew how attached Yun Yuhyun was to Yun Dujun.

"Got it. Thanks for the reminder, Baekya," Wonyoung said, quickly wiping his hands with tissues before grabbing the remote control— just in time for the music video to finally be uploaded. He quickly pressed the ’play’ button. "Here we go."

Summer’s Love You to Death was a departure from the singer’s usually sassy and upbeat music, taking the energy down for a languid mood piece.

The song centered on a breezy hook that blended sentiment with pop shimmer.

It suited the apocalyptic theme of the music video.

Actually, it looks and sounds depressing— in a good way.

While the melancholic song played in the background, the music video showed Summer doing all her best to hide Wonyoung— her almost-zombie boyfriend— from the human survivors in the refugee camp.

The refugee camp was set up in the Changdeokgung Palace.

The editing made it look like the palace was in ruins.

Anyway, there were cute scenes despite the depressing setting.

Like when Summer put sunglasses on Wonyoung to hide his zombie eyes.

Or when Summer sprayed perfume on Wonyoung to conceal his rotting scent.

There was also a scene where Wonyoung almost bit Summer in the neck, but Summer hugged him so tight that she almost snapped the almost-zombie’s body in half.

Oh, Summer is comically strong in the story.

Yun Yuhyun giggled, and An Baekya smiled at the cute and funny scenes.

I’m glad the kids are enjoying the music video.

Anyway, despite all of Summer’s efforts to keep Wonyoung’s zombie side from showing, it was an impossible task.

When Summer realized that the place wasn’t safe anymore because her fellow humans were starting to suspect Wonyoung as someone who was already in the middle of turning into a zombie, the two of them ran away.

At the end of the music video, Summer and Wonyoung encountered a huge crowd of zombies.

That was when Summer resigned to her doomed fate.

Hence, she kissed Wonyoung one last time.

Yun Yuhyun gasped out loud. "Papa, you kissed her!"

"Yes, I did," Wonyoung said, embarrassed, as he covered Yun Yuhyun’s eyes. "Close your eyes, kids."

An Baekya just smirked, not closing his eyes.

Whew.

Wonyoung knew that the kissing scene would be included in the final music video.

But he didn’t expect that the director would choose a close-up shot— showing how deep the kiss was, tongues and all.

It wasn’t the type of kiss that he wanted to show the kids.

"Papa, is it true love’s kiss?" Yun Yuhyun asked curiously. Fortunately, his son didn’t try to remove Wonyoung’s hands from covering his eyes. "Did you turn into a human after that noona kissed you?"

"Uh, yes," Wonyoung said while watching the zombie Wonyoung’s gold eyes turn back to normal. Since the kissing scene had already ended, he removed the hand that was covering his son’s vision. "I became a human again after Summer-ssi’s true love kiss."

Yun Yuhyun smiled and cheered, but gasped when the zombies began swarming Wonyoung and Summer. "Run, Papa and Noona! The zombies are gonna eat you!"

However, the screen suddenly turned black.

Yes, the music video ended like that.

It’s an open ending, and it’s up to the viewers how they imagine the end— whether with Wonyoung and Summer escaping, or the two getting eaten up by the zombies.

For a music video, the film that came with it wasn’t bad.

"Papa, how did it end?" Yun Yuhyun asked curiously. "Did you and that noona escape?"

"Of course not, silly," An Baekya said bluntly, picking up a fight with Yun Yuhyun again. "How could Appa and that noona escape when they were swarmed by zombies? There’s no escape. They were definitely eaten by the zombies, so the music video ended there. Otherwise, the scene would have been grotesque."

"You don’t know that!" Yun Yuhyun complained. "If true love’s kiss had turned Papa back into a human again, then I’m sure their power of love could save them from the zombies!"

As usual, An Baekya and Yun Yuhyun ended up bickering again.

"I’m going to cook dinner now," Wonyoung said, getting up. He was doing all the chores for now since the household staff members that Yun Dujun promised hadn’t arrived yet. It was because they were choosing each helper very carefully. "What do you want for dinner, kids?"

Surprisingly, An Baekya and Yun Yuhyun answered the same thing at the same time.

"Hamburger steak, Papa!"

"Hamburger steak, please."

Wonyoung chuckled while shaking his head.
