"YOU CAN’T find An Baekya even if you want to."

That was what Yun Yuhyun heard from Yun Yunchae as soon as he arrived in his older cousin’s office.

He was there to confront Yun Yunchae for stealing An Baekya from him.

"You don’t have the resources to find your poor little lover," Yun Yunchae said condescendingly. "Do you?"

Yun Yuhyun rolled his eyes.

Yes, paying huge fines for the two Korean series that he quit mid-filming hurt his finances, but not enough to push him to bankruptcy.

I did lose a few major brand deals, though.

But he couldn’t quit the Hollywood movie one because it was a project that he personally liked.

I’ll fly to LA next week to film the remaining scenes I need to film.

And that would be his final project as an actor.

"You don’t have to worry about my finances since I’m still a part of the Yun Clan," Yun Yuhyun said, raising an eyebrow. "Is that why you’re pissed, Noona? Because I’m competent at my office job, even though I’ve been acting all this time? Are you threatened that I might go and steal the company from you?"

"If you already know that, then we have nothing else to talk about."

"Bullshit."

"Did you just curse at me?"

"I’m calling you out for your bullshit, Noona," Yun Yuhyun said bluntly. "I know you care about me more than you care about being the next chairman of the company. You only helped An Baekya escape because you knew I would regret it if he died by my hands."

Yun Yunchae neither confirmed nor denied it.

Ever since Yun Yuhyun lost his mind because of his obsession with An Baekya, Yun Yunchae had never stopped trying to help him.

But he avoided his older cousin and didn’t listen to her.

Yunchae Noona probably snapped when she heard that I locked up An Baekya in my villa.

"Yun Yuhyun, did you know what the new shaman said about our family treasure?"

"I haven’t even met that woman yet."

"Right, you didn’t bother meeting the shaman who replaced Shaman Ahra," Yun Yunchae said while shaking her head. "Anyway, this new shaman said something Shaman Ahra tried to gatekeep from us for so long. Apparently, the family treasure is an item that could bring back time."

Yun Yuhyun wasn’t surprised to hear that.

After all, he had already ’met’ the family treasure a few months before.

"The new shaman went to Uncle Dujun last month and helped him recover quickly," Yun Yunchae said. His older cousin probably did that because she knew Yun Yuhyun had never visited his Alpha father yet. "Uncle Dujun was in a coma for eight years. But, in just three months, he had completely recovered already. He can speak again and move as if he weren’t bedridden for years. The doctors, who didn’t know about the shaman, claimed that Uncle Dujun’s fast recovery was due to his superior genes as an Alpha. But it was actually all thanks to the shaman’s healing power that Uncle Dujun made a complete recovery in such a short time."

Of course, Yun Yuhyun already knew about his Alpha father’s complete recovery.

Uncle Gunil keeps me updated about Abeoji’s condition every single day.

"The new shaman also mentioned the family treasure to Uncle Dujun."

"Uncle Dujun has been looking for the family treasure ever since he found out about it," Yun Yunchae said. "But it seems like Uncle Dujun already knew about it because he didn’t look surprised when the new shaman revealed the ability of the family treasure."

I feel sorry for Uncle Dujun, but I feel sorrier for An Baekya. He suffered a lot because of you, Yun Yuhyun. Since it’s partly Uncle Dujun’s fault for neglecting you that you turned out the way you did, I thought he should compensate by giving up the family treasure for An Baekya."

Yun Yuhyun scoffed. "Abeoji’s obsession with Appa is just as bad as my obsession with An Baekya. Do you think Abeoji will give up the family treasure for a kid he doesn’t even know?"

"He already knows who An Baekya is— I told him."

Oh.

"But Uncle Dujun doesn’t seem to care."

Ah, of course.

"So, I decided to trouble Uncle Dujun a bit by letting Uncle Heeju know his whereabouts."

"Is Uncle Heeju still obsessed with Abeoji?"

"I don’t know, but Uncle Heeju looked thrilled."

"You’re evil, Noona."

"Well, we’re related."

Yun Yuhyun couldn’t refute that.

"I’ll have you know that I will hide An Baekya from you while helping him find the family treasure," Yun Yunchae said sternly. "Your insanity ends here, Yun Yuhyun."

"Whether it’s Abeoji or An Baekya, they’ll never find the family treasure," Yun Yuhyun said confidently. "I already hid it, after all."

After using the treasure, at that.

"YOUNG MASTER, we’ve already found An Baekya-nim."

"Really?" Yun Yuhyun asked, surprised. "I thought Yunchae Noona would hide An Baekya well."

He was on the way to the airport since he’d be flying to LA when he got that report from Han Gunili, who was driving for him at the moment.

The news that he received kind of surprised him.

"An Baekya-nim seemed to have rejected the young lady’s protection. According to my sources, the young lady let An Baekya-nim go after a long conversation. But, apparently, the young lady also sent a secret security team to keep An Baekya-nim safe from afar."

Ah.

Yun Yuhyun smiled bitterly.

An Baekya doesn’t want to be shackled by anyone anymore.

"Should we bring back An Baekya-nim to the villa, sir?" Han Gunil asked carefully. "Confrontation with Young Lady Yunchae’s security team can’t be avoided, but I’m confident that our team can overpower them."

"No, just send a team that will shadow An Baekya and make sure that no harm will befall him."

Han Gunil went silent, but it was obvious he couldn’t believe Yun Yuhyun’s order.

Yeah, it was difficult for Yun Yuhyun to be apart from An Baekya.

Apparently, his Omega father preferred being buried rather than cremated.

It was a piece of information that Abeoji got from Aunt Gayoung— Appa’s sister-like younger cousin.

Hence, his Alpha father buried his Omega father in one of their private lands.

Now the secret is out.

When Yun Yuhyun arrived at the hill where his Omega father was buried, he didn’t only find his Alpha father and An Baekya there.

The two were accompanied by a man he hadn’t seen before.

But he could already tell that it was their family’s new shaman.

So, the new shaman was a male, huh?

He looks just a little bit older than me and An Baekya.

"Stop fighting, Abeoji, An Baekya," Yun Yuhyun said coldly. "None of you could use the treasure anymore because I’ve already made my wish— I’ve already asked the System to turn back time for Appa."

And the ’price’ for that was to leave An Baekya alone for at least two years.

But only a little over a year had passed since then, so...

I wonder if my wish can still be granted.

"Yuhyun-ah, you made that wish?" his Alpha father asked in disbelief. "You made the same wish I wanted to ask..."

"I didn’t do it for you, Abeoji," Yun Yuhyun said sternly. "I did it for Appa."

And An Baekya, too.

Because Yun Yuhyun knew that once his Omega father remembered the ’novel,’ he would find An Baekya and raise him.

If that happens, then An Baekya won’t suffer any more in that timeline.

"Yun Yuhyun, even until the end, you still make my life difficult."

Yun Yuhyun just kept his mouth shut while looking at An Baekya.

He didn’t care that his ex-lover was clearly glaring at him with so much hatred.

"That’s why I don’t feel guilty for doing this," An Baekya said, pulling out the old book from the inner pocket of his jacket. "I’m sorry, but I’m stealing the second chance that you granted to my Omega father-in-law, Yun Yuhyun."

Yun Yuhyun scoffed. "As if that were possible—"

"It is possible."

Yun Yuhyun felt a shiver down his spine when the male shaman spoke.

"I made it possible," the male shaman said. "Because I believe An Baekya has the right to use the treasure, too."

The chills that he felt made him panic.

This is a real shaman.

Yun Yuhyun cursed under his breath, but before he could grab the male shaman, everything suddenly went blank.

"That’s all I can tell you, Abeoji," Yun Yuhyun said. "I don’t know how exactly An Baekya managed to steal my wish. But, according to the System, he stole Appa’s love for me in order for him to turn back time with his memories intact. I have no idea how he did that either."

When the new shaman helped An Baekya, the System was divided into two.

In short, An Baekya had his own ’story’ that Yun Yuhyun wasn’t privy to.

"But, yes, An Baekya has the memories of his past life from the start," Yun Yuhyun said. "He’s an adult in a kid’s body. That’s probably why you find him creepy, Abeoji."

His Alpha father didn’t react.

And, honestly, Yun Yuhyun couldn’t blame him.

Abeoji is probably still in a state of disbelief.

But he had no time to wait for his Alpha father to snap out of it.

"Abeoji—"

"Do you think Lee Heeju is the mastermind behind your appa’s attack?"

Ah, so his Alpha father was thinking about that.

"That seems to be the case, Abeoji."

His Alpha father’s jaw clenched tight. "Han Myung told me that you personally asked him to check on your Aunt Gayoung. If Lee Heeju is the one behind your appa’s attack, then is it possible that Lee Heeju also tried to hurt your aunt?"

"Yes, Abeoji. According to the System, Aunt Gayoung got her hands on the treasure."

"But how did Lee Heeju know that?"

"Abeoji, how did you think Uncle Heeuju had found out something like that, when he’s not supposed to have the memories of the original timeline?"

Yun Dujun paused for a moment, and then his eyes widened a bit when the realization hit him. "Is that bastard working with the shaman?"

Yun Yuhyun was about to confirm that, but he stopped when he heard a static sound in his head.
