I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law-Chapter 160: COUNTERATTACK
[2 days before the press conference...]
"PAPA!"
Wonyoung smiled when Yun Yuhyun greeted him energetically when he came to pick him up at his brother-in-law’s house.
"You’re here!" Yun Yuhyun said excitedly while hugging Wonyoung’s waist. Yes, their baby was already that tall to reach his waist despite being only 5 years old (turning 6 soon). "Daddy, too."
"Your papa and I have something to tell you, Yuhyun-ah," Yun Dujun said in a serious tone. "Let’s go home first."
Yes, Wonyoung and Yun Dujun decided to go back to their house.
The house that was in the same gated village.
It’s safer in that house because the reporters are camping out at Dujun Hyung’s penthouse and my apartment.
Thankfully, the reporters didn’t know about Wonyoung’s new house yet.
The one where An Baekya currently is.
"How about Baekya?" Yun Yuhyun asked, looking up at them with confused eyes. "Where is Baekya? We didn’t go home together. I thought he’d be with you, Papa, Daddy."
Ah, of course, their son would look for An Baekya.
They always bicker, but Yuhyun is genuinely fond of Baekya, even if he’s not aware of it.
"Baekya will be here soon," Yun Dujun answered. "We already asked Han Myung to pick him up."
They weren’t being cruel to An Baekya.
We just didn’t want the reporters to spot us while leaving the hospital.
"Kids, your sister-in-law made dinner," Yun Inyeop, Yun Dujun’s older brother, who suddenly came out from the dining hall, said. "Eat before you start talking about heavy stuff. And stay the night. The kids need to be at school tomorrow."
Wonyoung smiled and nodded. "Yes, Brother-in-law."
Yun Inyeop looked back and forth between Wonyoung and Yun Dujun, and then he shook his head. "You two are really meant to be actors— your life is full of drama."
Aigoo.
Yes, my brother-in-law knows what’s happening since Dujun Hyung asked for his help to remove the trending article from NAVI.
The trending article was, of course, Wonyoung’s first ’scandal’ as a rookie actor.
"I’m sorry for the trouble, Hyung-nim," Yun Dujun said, obviously embarrassed and feeling guilty. "This is just the start— things will get uglier and noisier from now on."
"I know," Yun Inyeop said, scoffing. "Appa and Abeoji will be here later."
Right.
Wonyoung and Yun Dujun decided to reveal something else aside from their marriage and their son’s existence.
But Hyung needs his family’s permission for that one.

"PAPA, where’s Daddy?"
"Your daddy is talking to your uncle and grandfather," Wonyoung answered Yun Yuhyun’s curious question. "Only the three of us will talk."
Wonyoung, Yun Yuhyun, An Baekya.
The three of them were currently in Wonyoung’s room— the one that he used while they were staying at Yun Inyeop’s house.
"Is the talk going to be long, Papa?" Yun Yuhyun asked. "I wanna have hot chocolate with Yunchae Noona."
"Yuhyun-ah, we’re going to talk about your future."
"My future?"
"Your daddy and I decided to reveal that we are your parents."
Yun Yuhyun gasped, and even An Baekya looked shocked.
"Does it mean Papa and Daddy can come to my school now?" Yun Yuhyun asked excitedly. "Uncle Daddy and Auntie Mommy don’t have to be my parents anymore?"
’Uncle Daddy’ would be Yun Inyeop, while ’Auntie Mommy’ would be Kang Chaein.
My brother-in-law and his wife have been Yuhyun’s parents all this time.
"Yes, we can be free once the truth comes out. But the truth will definitely turn as a scandal because people didn’t know that your daddy is already married with a kid. He hid us from the public, so many people might think badly of your daddy," Wonyoung said calmly. "It’s also possible that your classmates might tease you about it, Yuhyun-ah. They might even say bad things about your daddy and I. You may not understand it yet, but your daddy and I have a very complicated relationship. Even other adults may not understand us. And people can be mean to things beyond their comprehension. That’s why they might say bad things behind our backs."
Yun Yuhyun blinked, then he tilted his head to one side. "But it’s okay as long as we know the truth, right? Daddy often tells me not to care about what other people think of me."
Aigoo.
Hyung’s teachings... really.
"And I know a lot of things that Papa thinks I don’t understand."
Oho?
"What are those, then?"
"I know that Papa and Daddy love me very much," Yun Yuhyun said, grinning. "And I also know that Papa and Daddy love each other very much, but you’re fighting because Daddy did something bad. Still, Papa doesn’t hate Daddy, right?"
"How clever," Wonyoung said, ruffling Yun Yuhyun’s hair lovingly. "You’re right, Yuhyun-ah. Whatever you hear from people badmouthing us, just know that they are wrong. Your daddy and I love you, your daddy and I love each other, and we’re one big happy family. Our relationship may have started wrong, but it’s all in the past now. What’s important is the present. Do you understand that, Yuhyun-ah?"
"Yes, Papa. I’m smart, so I understand," Yun Yuhyun said proudly, and then he knitted his eyebrows. "But how about An Baekya?"
Okay, that was an awkward question.
So, Wonyoung was surprised when he answered his son’s question sincerely.
"An Baekya is also a part of our family."
And Wonyoung meant it.
I resent An Baekya a little. But he’s still a child in my eyes— a child that my son tortured in the original timeline.
"You don’t have to force yourself to include me in your family, Appa," An Baekya said indifferently. There was no sarcasm or bitterness in the child’s voice— he probably simply believed that he was really not a part of the family. "I know my place."
"And your place is in the family," Yun Yuhyun said in a serious tone while looking at An Baekya. "Why are you talking like that, Baekya? I may not see you as a brother, but Papa and Daddy see you as their child."
Huh?
When did our Yuhyun mature and become this good at speaking?
Wonyoung, for a moment, thought the older Yun Yuhyun had returned.
"Why are you suddenly being nice to me?" An Baekya asked Yun Yuhyun suspiciously. "It’s creepy, so stop that."
"Yah. I’m not being nice— I’m just acting as the older brother that I am. Our family is about to get into a scandal, so we have to be there for each other. I’m older than you, so it’s my responsibility to protect you even if I don’t want to."
Aigoo.
And the two bickered once again.
Yeah, they’re kids.
"Baekya, your abeoji and I also decided to reveal that we fostered a child. Yes, we wanted to because you were a part of our family. But we also decided to do that as a part of our PR. We need a good story to get out of this mess, after all," Wonyoung said. It was evil of them to plan to use An Baekya’s tragic childhood for PR, so the least thing he could do was be honest about it. "Can we do that?"
"Yes, you can use my story however you want, Appa," An Baekya said without much thought, as if he knew it was also the best course of action for their family to survive the scandal of the year. "I’ll cooperate with you this time."

YUN DUJUN was in the reception room with Chairman Yun Hyuk (his father), Uncle Han Hyunjin (his father’s legal and beloved husband), Yun Inyeop (his older half-brother), and Kang Chaein (his sister-in-law).
He requested an audience with his family because he wanted to let them know that he was planning to reveal who he truly was during the press conference that he asked Spencer Choi to arrange.
That he was the illegitimate child of his father with Kang Chunja— his mother.
A veteran actress, so I’ll be labelled as a nepo baby on top of the scandal I’m about to face.
"I’m sorry, but even though I’m supposed to be asking for your permission, it’s actually more like I’m letting you know about our decision," Yun Dujun said, bowing his head in apology. "Whether you agree or not, I’ll still reveal who I am. I know that by doing so, the company might suffer a loss. But I’ll try to protect Abeoji’s name, as well as the company’s reputation, by putting all the blame on my mother for my birth. It’s the truth anyway."
He braced himself for his father and older brother’s wrath, but no one yelled at him.
Instead...
"And what?" his father asked, scoffing as if he weren’t happy with Yun Dujun’s decision. "Do you want people to see our Yuhyun as the grandson of a rapist?"
Yun Dujun flinched.
Honestly, he didn’t think that far ahead.
Hence, he couldn’t say anything back.
But his father was right.
If I reveal that my mother forced herself on my father, then our Yuhyun will become the grandson of a rapist...
"Dujun-ah, do it like this."
Yun Dujun lifted his head and listened to his father’s proposal.
The more he listened, the tighter his chest had gotten.
His heart protested every single thing that his father had suggested.
"I can’t do that, Abeoji," Yun Dujun said sternly while shaking his head. "My existence already ruined your family once. I can’t do that again. Let my mother and I take the fall since it’s the right thing to do anyway."
"You have to think about your husband and child now, Dujun-ah."
It was Uncle Han Hyunjin who spoke this time.
My mother’s biggest victim...
"We can’t let your mother’s sin ruin our Yuhyun’s future," Uncle Han Hyunjin said calmly. There wasn’t an ounce of remorse in his voice. "Listen to your father and do as he say. Don’t worry about us. We can protect ourselves from the scandal."
Yun Dujun clenched his hands tight.
He wanted to continue protesting, but he couldn’t since he knew his father’s suggestion would benefit his child more.
I’m such a bad son...
"Yun Dujun, get your act together," Yun Inyeop, his older brother, said sternly. "You’re a father now, so you should think about your son."
"Hyung-nim, are you really alright with Abeoji’s decision?"
"Of course, I am," Yun Inyeop answered firmly. "Yuhyun is like a son to me— I won’t let him get hurt by the past that already ruined our family once."
"Hyung-nim..."
"Dujun-ah, you and our Yuhyun don’t have to suffer because of what your mother did in the past," Kang Chaein, his sister-in-law, said kindly. Then she gently patted Yun Inyeop’s shoulder. "Moreover, don’t underestimate your brother. He’s the Vice Chairman of Naville Corporation— he’ll protect the family and the company during this ’storm.’"
Yun Inyeop nodded in agreement. "That’s right. Who are you to look down on your hyung? I don’t need your concern— you’re just a kid who can’t even fix your marriage."
Aigoo.
At that point, there was only one thing he could do.
Yun Dujun bowed his head in gratitude. "Thank you, Abeoji, Uncle Hyunjin, Hyung-nim, Sister-in-law."

[1 day before the press conference...]
WONYOUNG woke up with several phone calls.
Most recent calls were from Summer, Jameson, and Director Jin Gangseok.
They were the people he worked with in the music video.
He thought Summer and the others were going to blame him for making it look like the music video becoming viral was only a media play, undermining the hard work of everyone.
But the text messages that he received all expressed concern for him and his situation.
Ah, I’m surrounded by good people.
Wonyoung was about to reply to Summer, but he was interrupted when his phone rang.
It was a call from Writer Shin Yuna.
Right— I also got a lot of missed calls from the ’Four Alphas and a Secret’ team.
His colleagues must be worried since the article was pointing at the drama that they hadn’t even filmed yet.
Wonyoung braced himself to be scolded when he picked up the call.
"Writer Shin, I’m really sorry about—"
"WONYOUNG-SSI, WE WILL SAVE YOU!"
Aigoo.
Wonyoung had to put the phone away from his ear because of how loud Writer Shin Yuna was.
And what did she say?
Save me... how?

[Press Conference Day...]
Whew.
Wonyoung looked at himself in the mirror while in the waiting room.
He wore all black from head to toe, no make-up, and a very serious appearance.
"Are you ready, Wonyoung-ah?"
Wonyoung raised his head and, yep, Yun Dujun also wore the same outfit and appearance that he had.
This is a serious matter, so we have to look the part.
"I’m ready, Hyung."
"Then let’s go," Yun Dujun said, extending his hand to Wonyoung. The Alpha didn’t look worried or nervous. In fact, he looked relieved that they finally didn’t have to hide their relationship. "Wonyoung-ah, if we lose our acting career after this, maybe we should consider becoming writers instead?" 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Wonyoung suddenly burst out laughing because he knew why Yun Dujun said that. "Right— the love story we made up beats all the makjang in history."
And it was a love story so legendary that the entire South Korea went crazy over it.
Ah, Daepyonim’s PR Team should also take credit for this addicting ’drama.’
