The Demon King Castle Gate was opened and demons flooded out. He could not afford to let go of his sword from his hand because he could not participate in the Demon King battle.

How long did he have to make it through such endless onslaught of demons….

In the midst of all this, Meyer suddenly regressed for unidentified reasons.

Although he had regressed, he could not afford to indulge the past that had returned.

Time was a luxury, given the fact that he had once been defeated by Fabian.

But he had lived a life buried in the dungeon to begin with. There were not so many moments when he could afford to give up.

Jokes with his friends, petty drinking…

He abandoned all personal matters and gradually became more and more inquisitive.

People around him whispered that Meyer had no interest in others and was mad only for the dungeon.

It was a similar assessment as the first round, but different. If the first round there was more respect for his constant protection of the world, in the second round there was more fear, albeit the same sense of awe.

The expedition members did not call him “Commander” either.

Your Excellency. It showed the distance between them and himself.

But Meyer was satisfied with that. No, in fact, he thought better of it.

It was like compartmentalizing the first round and now.

He could not miss out on talent and not make dumb mistakes as he did then….

And if only he were the only one to defeat the Demon Lord.

That’s what Meyer thought at the time of his regression…

‘Come to think of it, killing the Demon King is something that was stolen from me by Fabian.’

Meyer chuckled. What had been so urgent in the past had turned out to be nothing when it actually passed.

He had found a new purpose that was more important.

Meyer carefully swept Jun’s hair as she slept peacefully beside him. He could see her round forehead between her messy bangs.

“Mm…”

Jun wrinkled her brow and sputtered in her sleep. The gesture was adorable as she pulled Meyer into her arms, as if it were a matter of course.

Immediately after his regression, he distanced himself from his surroundings but did not have much difficulty communicating.

He already knew about the people around him. What they were all thinking, what their abilities were, whether they were people who betrayed their colleagues when pushed to the extreme…

Since he knew everything, he didn’t need to give them his attention, or so he thought.

But not for Jun.

Meyer did not know about Jun Karentia.

All he knew was that she would not betray Fabian.

Fortunately, she had a certain amount of emotion on her face, but he couldn’t be completely relieved.

It was because he was aware that she could hide what she really wanted to hide so that no one could find it.

What she really wants, what she’s thinking…

Meyer’s true feelings were boiling with anxiety, as he had no easy idea what to expect.

He did not want to be foolish enough to let her go after finally getting her to join the Black Knights.

So he hung on to her every word and action, even more, anxious than before.

Sometimes he went too far and Jun scolded him for it…

‘Now that I think about it, I’ve done stupid things.’

Meyer chuckled and lightly touched the tip of Jun’s nose with his hand.

Jun squeaked as if her nose was itchy. He was worried about what he would do if Jun had any lingering feelings for the first round, but when the time came, it was Meyer who was still buried in the first round and held her by the ankle.

He wondered how Jun had chosen him for the second round, how she felt about him, how she loved him… He was able to fully understand all of that after the Demon King battle was over.

Seeing Jun’s body by his side with the moonlight hanging over his eyes, all of this felt unreal.

How could he just enjoy this peace without the need to conquer any more dungeons? What could be more luxurious than this?

Enthralled by the luxury he felt for the first time in his life, Meyer had his nose on her disheveled gray hair.

The faint scent of bluebell perfume oil, a favorite of Jun’s, wafted faintly to his nose, intoxicating him.

“… Meyer?”

Jun mumbled in her sleepy voice. She looked like she was off for a second.

“It’s still dawn. Sleep more, Your Majesty.”

“Why are you up at dawn?”

“Drunk on memories.”

Meyer chuckled and patted Jun on the back. Meyer’s low voice lulled her to sleep like a lullaby.

“What memories?”

Jun closed her eyes again. Her rose-colored eyes were unfocused and blurred.

Meyer spoke quietly.

“I was so desperate and in pain at the time, but looking back, it was all a memory.”

“It was hard work to begin with. It’s hard when you do it, but when you do it, it fills your heart.”

Jun yawned as she spoke. She must have mistaken Meyer’s recollection as a dungeon attack.

Meyer replied as if he were talking to her in a dazed way, smiling softly without correcting her.

“That’s right. I was proud to do it.”

Meyer hugged Jun. On second thought, it was clear that he had already crossed firmly to Jun from the first round.

‘I didn’t know why I was so uncomfortable with Jun and Nova being attached to each other in the first round.’

Meyer chuckled alone.

Jun’s slender body in his embrace was like a sugar doll.

It was precarious and as if it would crumble with a little force, but sparklingly beautiful and sweet, she was the most valuable thing in his life.

She was a precious treasure he would have given his life for.

He earned it the hard way, but his heart always went cold every time he recalled the memory of her once lost.

He would make sure that never happened again.

“The only thing that will touch your feet is a silk carpet. No more hardships for you.”

Meyer held Jun in his arms, careful not to interrupt her again, and rubbed his cheek against her hair as he whispered,

“I’ll clean up everything that’s hanging on your toes now.”

He would cut down everything when a thorny field came out.

If there were shards of glass scattered about, he would sweep them all away, even with his bare hands.

If a sleek needle path faced her, he would get down on the flat floor and her feet would step on him to let her pass…

That was the path that Jun Liteitia deserved to follow for her hard work.

CHAPTER 24. DLC: Hidden Ending

Jun Karentia was a nuisance to the Karentia family.

A mother who died an early death. The stepmother who was born when Jun knew how to count.

To make matters worse, after her younger brother, Eugene, her presence in Karentia dropped to the level of a carpet in front of the front door.

She was usually out of sight, and only when it rained or shoes got dirty on a good night was she finally remembered.

Insect, the half-qualified, the one who can’t even do what she’s supposed to do right…

All of these were qualifiers that replaced Jun’s name.

So much so that when Jun emerged as a supportive wizard, her first thought was, “Oh, there’s one more thing to taunt me about.”

Why did I, of all people, express myself as a supportive magician when I did? If I had not manifested at all…

A negative thought passed through Jun’s head.

Jun immediately shook her head.

Nothing in this world was meaningless.

The supportive wizards were also useful to the world, so St. Marianne must have sent down her talents to her….

The country must also believe in the potential of supportive wizards. Otherwise, she would be too miserable.

Jun held her head and did her best to pretend to be okay.

Could she help?

However, everyone pointed fingers at the theme of supporting wizards, saying, “Imitating wizards that show off their power.”

Every time Jun expressed herself as a supportive wizard, people bullied and criticized her more and more.

Jun still smiled unconcernedly, as if nothing was wrong, but as the sun went down and she remained alone in her room, an endless feeling of vagueness overcame her.

Jun lay down on her old bed. The bed she had used as a child was small for her large body. It felt like a frame that cut her off and confined her.

It was as if it specified that her limits were here…

As if trying to deny such a reality, Jun also fantasized every time she slept.

A named expedition would check out my abilities and make a proposal to join them. And then I would be famous as a supportive wizard…

Wouldn’t that make my parents and the villagers recognize me and say I’m amazing?

While spreading the wings of my imagination in this way, I suddenly came to a quick realization that they would not change if I were to rise to some awesome position.

Rather, it was more realistic to say that the topic was too much…

I don’t know if there will be an expedition to acknowledge me in the first place.

‘If such a presence exists, I would give my life to be loyal to them.’

In this way, everything in the world held Jun down frustratingly. Jun abandoned her days, holding back her true feelings that were about to explode at any moment.

Then one day, Saint Marianne came to visit her.
