I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse-Chapter 479. Death
Chapter 479: 479. Death
The world had changed.
It was no longer uncommon to kill each other.
And Anna herself had killed some people in the past year, mostly for the sake of self defense.
But what Anna didn’t think was that her own half brother was trying to kill them. Even though the tactic seemed ridiculously simple, but it would have worked if it has been other people.
After all, these big mutated animals were quite aggressive and if they gathered in large number, even the powerful awakened might have trouble dealing with them. Thus, the tactic that Brian used could be said to be quite effective.
Unfortunately, the one he faced was Dylan and Anna.
These two people were far more powerful than the ordinary awakened people during this period of time.
This kind of trick was useless for them.
"Ugh." Brian tried to speak, but the vines were strangling him so hard that he was not able to speak. However, he still glared in Anna’s direction, his eyes filled with killing intent.
Anna looked at Brian and then glanced at Dylan.
Dylan saw Anna’s gaze and nodded in her direction. He turned his gaze back to Brian. "I want to ask why but I think it’s unnecessary."
The hatred between the siblings seemed to be so stupid yet also reasonable at the same time. They viewpoint from the very beginning has been opposing each other and they couldn’t stand the other’s presence.
So they made trouble with each other.
Even before the apocalypse happened, Anna and Brian couldn’t really get along with each other.
Most of the time, Brian would make trouble to Anna and Anna couldn’t really do anything but to stay silent. Because even if she sued to her father, he would never listen to her as he only cared for her half brother and half sister.
There was no place for her in that home.
Not after her mother’s death.
Brian looked at Anna hatefully and didn’t seem to have any intention to say anything else. He was trying to urge his ability, but the vines below him was extremely strong and prevented his ability to be activated to release him.
The difference between the two of them was very big.
It was not so easy to cross the ranks if there was even one. As of now, the differences between the ranks were not clear, but Anna was already able to crush Brian so easily because her ability was much higher than him.
Brian frowned and still struggled desperately.
Because he knew that this was his last chance.
When he saw the vines coming towards him, he knew very well that it was too late for him to escape. The power that Anna has was actually more than 10 times stronger than what she previously showed.
Even if Brian already knew that Anna was strong, he thought that it would be similar to those of rank 4.
Since Brian had reached rank 3 based on the ranking that the research institute established, he felt that killing someone of rank 4 would be easier. It was even more so because he planned to use trickery by using these big mutated animals instead of going directly.
But he was wrong.
Anna was far above rank 4.
She was far stronger than those people from the base who claimed to be rank 4.
But even if Brian knew this, it was already too late. Looking at the two people in front of him, Brian knew that they would never let him go.
Damn it!
Brian regretted making a move right now. He should have waited until he was strong enough and the gap between them shortened before making any move. Because if he was too weak, then it would be the same as sending his own life to them.
But regret could never change anything.
The past is the past.
What had happened could never be changed no matter how much he hoped for it.
As Brian struggled, the two people in front of him had already started.
Swish! Stab!
Ice formed in Dylan’s hand and then stabbed towards Brian’s chest. Since he wanted to kill them, then Dylan would not hesitate to make this choice.
"I’ll toss him away. You can burn the vines," Anna said as she took out a lighter and handed it to Dylan.
"Yes." Dylan nodded and then walked out with Kitty watching the two of them.
Anna looked at Brian, who had lost his breath and then controlled the strangling vines towards the direction of the group of big mutated animals in the distance.
When Anna used the Vines’ world, there were still some big mutated animals in the distance that was too far away. After all, her vines have limit and couldn’t really reach all areas.
Bang!
The corpse was thrown and these big mutated animals seemed as if they had found something to eat as they pounce on the corpse.
Anna watched the scene and then looked at Dylan, who had already set the vines in fire. Wood could easily burn in fire and it didn’t take long for the fire to spread to the other areas.
"Let’s get out of here." Dylan looked at Anna and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Mhm."
"Meow~." Wait for me.
The cat followed the two people as the fire burned the vines behind them. There was a group of big mutated animals at the distance. They were eating the corpses of their so called friends and also the corpse that Anna threw to them.
As the fire grew closer, they left behind whatever they were eating to save their lives.
These big mutated animals were smart enough to know that they would never be able to survive if they didn’t leave right away.
And they didn’t want to die.
The fire spread and some other awakened who were nearby ran away.
They didn’t want to cause trouble and ended up being burned to death either.
It was just that they were confused.
What caused such a big fire out here?
