Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!-Chapter 273 - 268: Strange Divine Academy 13
The girls were so worried that they couldn’t even eat, especially Susanna.
Tonight is the white moon, and she has to go out on patrol.
Her injuries from last night haven’t healed; she’s been dozing off all day today and can’t rest properly.
If this keeps up, she won’t make it through the first test before she’s exhausted to death.
Instigated by Susanna, the other girls in white uniforms were also starting to waver.
Yeah, either way, it’s death!
Might as well try again; what if that first girl who went in only died because of her lack of ability?
Another girl took an NPC inside.
Josh almost wanted to applaud them; they were truly a brave group of girls.
Not long after, the door of the test room opened, and this time, two people came out.
Everyone’s eyes lit up, see! It can indeed be done!
It was right after lunch, and since there were no classes, everyone crowded over.
"How was it?"
"What’s it like inside?"
"Is it dangerous?"
"How did you clear it?"
The girl was covered in injuries, her hair was a mess, and she shook her head: "I failed, didn’t clear it."
"Didn’t clear it? Then how did you come out alive?" Someone found it hard to believe.
The boy speculated suspiciously, "You’re not hiding something, are you? Not wanting to tell us on purpose?"
Though others didn’t speak, their expressions clearly indicated the same suspicion.
The girl sighed with a bit of helplessness: "I’m not lying. You can check it out yourselves. I don’t know how the other girl died earlier, but I think it’s not very dangerous inside; just some regular attack mechanisms. You can dodge them, but I couldn’t, got hit back, and failed."
With her saying so, it wasn’t appropriate for others to question further.
Even if they doubted, they wouldn’t openly confront the girl.
She was the first to go in and come out.
Afterwards, more boys and girls went in, most returned in a miserable state with injuries.
Only a few never came out after entering, not even bringing the NPC back.
At night.
As expected, a white moon rose in the night sky.
Josh yawned, contentedly lying on her bed.
Erin glanced at her coldly: "You’re not going out?"
Josh, with her eyes unable to open from tiredness, replied: "It’s not my turn today."
Erin stared steadily at her, then suddenly laughed: "Then you just go to sleep."
But Josh didn’t really sleep.
She didn’t have the luxury of time to sleep; there wasn’t even enough time for cultivation.
Luckily, she had stored a lot of gemstones beforehand, so she could meditate and cultivate while resting at night.
As the gemstone was consumed, spiritual power circulated within her body.
Her spiritual power was severely lacking; it not only needed to support the circulation through her body’s meridians but also to nurture her body’s Spiritual Sea.
If it weren’t for her spiritual power and continuous cultivation, she couldn’t have possibly become a growing Spiritual Power User.
The cultivation of spiritual power had transformed her, and her Spiritual Sea had been well nurtured.
This was the reason for her high consumption of spiritual power.
Otherwise, based on her previous cultivation speed, the accumulation of spiritual power in her body wouldn’t be so little.
She was meditating with her eyes closed, urging the spiritual power to circulate through her meridians, when she suddenly heard a faint noise beside her.
Josh abruptly opened her eyes to see a drooling creature next to her.
The creature had no head, a massive black hole at its neck with a drooling tongue sticking out.
Small holes dotted the creature’s hands and feet, and it was due to these holes that they were so sensitive to sound.
Just as the creature’s tongue lashed out, Josh had already grabbed the Spider Silk and blinked aside to dodge.
The creature’s tongue followed closely behind.
The tongue seemed to have no length limitation; no matter which direction Josh moved, it could reach.
Josh wore white gloves on her hands as she looked toward the creature.
The creature’s school uniform was tagged with class rep Erin’s name.
She grabbed the creature’s tongue: "Looks like your tongue is quite long."
The tongue twisted and turned in her hand, slick and slippery, almost slipping away.
Josh tightened her grip on the tongue and stepped outside: "Let’s see, is your tongue longer, or is my Spider Silk longer?"
The creature’s tongue stretched infinitely as she yanked it, spiraling through different hallways.
The creature roared, chasing after her.
The dorm manager’s assistant badge could only be used once; she had used it last night, so tonight it should have been given to someone else.
All the creatures turned toward Josh’s direction.
Looks like the new dorm assistant was dead set on targeting her.
The creature’s powerful spiritual power attack surged overwhelmingly.
If it were just about speed, Josh wouldn’t lose, but if it came to a spiritual power suppression, it was another story.
The girl stood before the monitor, smiling: "This time she’s doomed, she needs to taste bitterness after all."
Susanna chuckled beside her, then reminded: "Let’s just teach her a lesson; after all, she just humiliated us last night, didn’t mean to kill us."
The girl agreed outwardly, but internally she couldn’t hold back rolling her eyes; why not kill her?
If Josh dared to humiliate her, she should face the consequences!
Susanna watched the girl’s demeanor, pretending not to understand, lowering her eyelids to hide the look in her eyes.
The creatures chased after Josh, driving her into a dead end.
The tremendous pressure swept the entire hallway, even flipping over trash cans.
Last night, a mix of A-level, B-level, and S-level Spiritual Power Users couldn’t withstand such a strong spiritual power attack, and Josh, being an E-level player, was certainly doomed!
Susanna’s eyes were glued to the screen, her fingers unconsciously clutching her clothes, incredibly tense.
She wished she could take the creatures’ place to do this task.
A sharp "bang" sounded.
The mighty spiritual power shattered the windows.
Josh leaped out of the window, using the opportunity to shake off Erin’s tongue.
All the creatures were instantly enraged.
Don’t think that captured prey can just fly away!
Susanna almost couldn’t hold back cursing, calling them useless; last night when chasing them, they seemed so formidable, yet now chasing a mere E-level Spiritual Power, they even let her escape.
The girl next to her slammed the table in anger: "Useless! All useless! How could they let her get away!"
Outside, the surveillance was out of view.
She exchanged a glance with Susanna, and both simultaneously chased out; they must witness this wretch’s death firsthand!
Josh kept running while constantly observing the surroundings.
The creatures behind relentlessly pursued, the oppression of their spiritual power layering over her.
With the aid of Spider Silk, Josh managed to blink forward right before the creatures caught up.
The creatures were utterly infuriated.
"Who allowed you to leave the dormitory?!" a sinister voice sounded from the side.
Josh turned her head and saw the dorm manager standing next to her, not knowing when she appeared.
She was draped in a thin outer garment, her hair was disheveled, her eye whites murky, and she gritted her teeth audibly while glaring at Josh.
Josh was startled, quickly dodging to the side to create distance.
