Immortal Supreme: Sovereign of the Grand Dao-Chapter 321: The Path of the Immortal Supreme, Preparations are Complete, Exiting Seclusion
Arthur felt like going to show up to his new lover that her idol was actually just a disciple of his.
But he held back his intrusive thoughts.
Next...
He further opened alchemy-related memory orbs. Instantly, his understanding of pill refinement deepened a thousandfold.
He understood not just recipes and processes, but the fundamental principles of how herbs interacted, how essence energy transformed during refinement, how to create completely new pills by understanding the underlying Dao principles.
His alchemy comprehension reached high Concept level. He became capable of refining pills that only legendary alchemists should be able to create.
Formation Dao followed. Arthur’s understanding of arrays, barriers, seals, and traps reached expert level. He could design formations that would baffle Martial Ancestor Realm experts.
Refinement. Inscription. Construction. All of them rose to high Concept level.
Then Arthur reached the most challenging section. The Esoteric Daos.
These were the supreme Daos. The fundamental principles that governed reality itself.
Space. Time. Fate. Karma. Life. Death. Chaos. Order.
Arthur approached these with caution. These Daos were far more dangerous to comprehend than elemental or weapon Daos. Mistakes here could damage his soul or distort his perception of reality.
He started with Space since he already had some foundation from the Space Gem.
Opening the Space Dao memory orbs was like having a veil lifted from his eyes. Space was no longer just emptiness between objects. It was a fabric that could be folded, torn, stitched, compressed, expanded.
His Space comprehension climbed. Intent. High Concept. Touching Essence.
But again, he hit a wall. True Essence level Space comprehension required immortal cultivation to support. His mortal foundation wasn’t enough.
Time followed. Arthur opened Time Dao memory orbs carefully.
Time wasn’t a river flowing in one direction. It was a dimension, malleable and flexible. Past, present, and future existed simultaneously from the right perspective.
His Time comprehension rose to high Concept level. Combined with the Time Gem’s influence, Arthur gained an intuitive sense of temporal flow. He couldn’t control time very much yet, but he could already do a lot more than when he first began.
Fate came next. Arthur already had significant advantage here from the Fate Gem, but the memory orbs added systematic knowledge to his intuitive understanding.
Fate wasn’t predetermined destiny. It was a web of probability, with certain paths more likely than others. By understanding the web, one could navigate toward preferred outcomes.
His Fate comprehension reached peak Concept level, almost breaking into Essence before hitting the cultivation limitation.
Arthur continued through the remaining Esoteric Daos. Karma. Life. Death. Chaos. Order.
Each one rose to high Concept level. Each one added a new dimension to his understanding of reality.
More time passed. Arthur lost track of how long he’d been working. Months definitely. Maybe close to a year.
He systematically went through section after section of his mental library. Not all 999,999 orbs, that would take decades. But he opened thousands of them, targeting the most foundational and useful comprehensions.
His goal wasn’t to master every single Dao right now. It was to establish a broad foundation that covered all major areas. Deep comprehension could come later as his cultivation advanced.
Finally, Arthur reached the last critical section. The Sovereign Dao.
This wasn’t from one of the 999,999 clones. This was from his Mortal Emperor incarnation, stored in a special orb that glowed with imperial purple light.
To be accurate it could be called the Sovereign Star.
Arthur touched the orb carefully.
The comprehension that flowed out was unlike anything else. The Sovereign Dao wasn’t an element or a weapon or even a fundamental law.
It was pure authority. The principle of dominion. The right to rule over all things.
The Sovereign Dao taught that power alone wasn’t enough. True sovereignty required understanding what you ruled.
That’s why mastering all 999,999 Dao paths was necessary. Only by understanding everything could one truly claim dominion over everything.
The comprehension integrated into Arthur’s soul, settling at the very center of his being. It became the axis around which all his other comprehensions revolved.
With the Sovereign Dao as his core, all 999,999 paths became tools in his hands. They wouldn’t conflict or overwhelm him because he stood above them all. He was sovereign. They existed to serve him, not the other way around.
Arthur opened his eyes in the time chamber.
He felt fundamentally different. His mind was filled with comprehension that would take normal cultivators millions of years to accumulate. And all of it was organized, accessible, ready to use.
"I’m not just a genius anymore," Arthur said quietly. "I’m something that shouldn’t exist. A monster that defies all common sense."
He stood and stretched. His body felt the same, he hadn’t aged despite the time spent. But his mind and soul had transformed beyond recognition.
Arthur checked his internal clock. Nearly all his subjective time in the chamber was used. Outside, the secret realm would open in just a few days.
"Perfect timing," Arthur said with satisfaction.
He’d accomplished everything he needed. His foundation was complete. His martial spirits were evolved.
His Dao comprehension had exploded to unprecedented heights. His soul power was effectively limitless.
"Now I just need to consolidate everything," Arthur decided. "Actually apply these comprehensions in practice. But the secret realm will be perfect for that."
He walked toward the exit of the time chamber. As he left, Arthur reflected on what he’d become.
He possessed mastery of countless Dao paths at the Concept level. He could craft pills, design formations, refine weapons, all at expert levels. He understood the fundamental principles of reality itself.
And this was just the beginning. As his cultivation advanced to the immortal realms, he’d be able to unlock deeper levels of comprehension. Essence. Domain. Law.
The Rising Dragon Rankings. The top talents from across five continents. They would all gather in the Martial Emperor Secret Realm, competing for treasures and opportunities.
Arthur had seen the list. Prodigies with incredible talents. Geniuses who’d shaken entire continents.
"They’ll make decent subordinates," Arthur decided.
But he already knew the truth. No one in the mortal realms could match him anymore.
His only real challenges would come from the upper realms. From immortals and gods and beings who stood at the peak of existence.
"But I’ll reach them," Arthur said with absolute confidence. "Step by step. Realm by realm. Until I stand at the very summit. Above the Heavenly Dao. Above the Grand Dao. At the place where even fate itself must bow."
That was his destiny, the one he created himself.
The path of the Immortal Supreme.
And nothing would stop him.
Arthur stepped out of the time chamber. Aixen greeted him immediately.
"Master, you’ve returned. The comprehension went well?"
"Better than expected," Arthur replied. "Everything is ready. It’s time to leave seclusion and relax a bit before the secret realm opens."
