Incubus Ascension-Chapter 32

Well, the fight came out of nowhere, and Liam’s heart was already pounding before he even knew what was happening.

High General Succubus V stood there staring right at him.

For a split second her eyes narrowed, and Liam could almost see the thoughts running through her head.

Just what kind of legendary luck do I have? she thought. I just met the chosen one again in the middle of the wilderness.

Then her gaze shifted to Beatrix and her expression turned sharper.

Even the traitor’s daughter is here. I can only imagine the queen’s reaction when I take you both back to her.

Beatrix’s voice cut through the tension. "Guys! Buy me some time! I think I can find a way for us to run!"

Liam’s heart hammered hard at her words. He hesitated for a moment, his mind racing.

Run? Just leave her? No way. He shook his head quickly and shouted at the other two girls.

"Olivia! Pyra! You two hit her from a distance! I’ll take her attention!" he called out.

Without waiting for a reply, Liam lunged forward and started running, trying to pull V’s focus onto himself.

V saw him take off and a smirk spread across her face. Ohh. Just like last time.

She glanced back at the others for a second, thinking, Now they’re in the wilderness. There’s no archmage here to protect them.

Heheh. I can take my time and enjoy the chosen one... and suck him dry.

She lunged after Liam, chasing him but clearly holding back her speed.

Like she was enjoying the chase and letting him think he had a chance.

Meanwhile, Beatrix quickly pulled out the royal succubus scrolls from inside her top. This better work, she thought.

Those scrolls had another function she had forgotten to mention to Liam earlier , a temporary teleportation spell.

The downside was that it would take a full five minutes to activate.

She started mumbling some strange, cryptic words under her breath. The scrolls began to glow faintly.

As she kept going, Beatrix pictured Liam’s face and thought, Please, Liam, just hang on. There’s still time.

At the same time, Liam was weaving through the forest, using trees as cover to try and throw V off.

Of course she could see him easily, but she played along, following his little game with a grin.

Then she suddenly closed the gap. In one quick move she lunged and slammed him hard against a thick tree trunk.

Liam’s back hit the rough bark, knocking the wind out of him.

He looked up and saw her curvaceous body right in front of him , her massive breasts and ass swaying slightly as she stood there.

V smiled when she saw the look on his face. "Oh. Still didn’t get enough from our last time? How about we have some fun?"

She reached down and started tugging at Liam’s pants.

Before she could get far, a fireball suddenly slammed into the side of her head.

V froze mid-motion, then slowly turned her head toward Pyra with pure anger in her eyes.

"You fucking red bitch, stopping me from tasting him!"

She shot toward Pyra in a blur, grabbed her by the throat, and lifted her clean off the ground.

Pyra’s feet kicked helplessly in the air as her face started turning blue from lack of oxygen.

Liam yanked his pants back up, his mind racing. Think fast! What the hell do I do?

He saw Pyra struggling, her eyes wide with panic. Then he remembered his skill.

Black Flash A+.

Liam rushed forward and slammed his arm into V’s with everything he had.

The impact hurt his own arm , the after-effects from using the skill before were still there , but it worked.

V dropped Pyra to the ground and spun toward him.

"Oh dear. Such a naughty boy," she purred.

Before he could react, she grabbed him and shot straight up into the sky, carrying him with her.

Liam felt his stomach drop as the ground became a tiny spot far below them.

Down on the forest floor, Olivia reached Pyra and quickly checked on her.

Pyra coughed hard, gasping for air, then pointed weakly up at the sky. "He’s up there."

Olivia’s eyes widened.

Liam’s thoughts were spinning. If things kept going like this, they were all going to die by V’s hands.

He needed to do something. Then he remembered another skill.

Glue Balls.

He aimed at her wings and fired. Thick globs of sticky glue splattered across V’s wings, making them stiff and heavy.

V shouted at him, "Don’t you know we’ll both fall?"

Liam grabbed onto her tightly and used her body as a shield for the landing. It didn’t take long before gravity took over.

They dropped fast, but because Liam had positioned V underneath him like a landing platform, he came out mostly okay when they hit the ground hard.

Liam pushed himself up, limping a little as he walked toward Olivia and Pyra. The girls rushed over to him.

"Are you okay?" they asked at the same time.

Liam grabbed his sore shoulder and gave them a weak smile. "Mostly in one piece."

A moment later, V rose from the small crater she had made in the dirt.

She was ompletely unfazed. Then looked straight at Liam. "Done having tricks?"

Liam’s heart hammered again. That was it. He was out of ideas. This was the end.

Right at that moment, Beatrix came running up, the scroll now fully charged and glowing in her hand. She threw it straight at V.

V caught it on instinct.

Beatrix smiled. "Bad choice."

The scroll activated instantly and teleported V away in a flash of light.

Liam dropped to his knees, breathing hard. "That was fucking tense."

Both Olivia and Pyra nodded, looking just as relieved as he felt.

Beatrix wiped some sweat from her forehead and said, "We should get moving. Who knows how far she got teleported."

Liam nodded. They all started walking again, heading toward the town.

Once they finally reached the mall, Liam pulled up his system panel to check his level. What he saw surprised him.
