Infinite Dimension Physique: Rise of The Lustful Devil-Chapter 193: ...He left? Just like that?
At the very center of the Crimson City, hidden behind the large and imposing Mansion of House Crimson, there stood a small villa-type residence. Unlike the main mansion, where there were many servants who moved endlessly...this place was quiet and secluded.
There were very few maids and even fewer servants here, and those who did walked softly here, almost afraid to disturb something.
Though it seems to be positioned just behind the main estate, this secluded villa was in truth separated by several miles from the mansion,
Now, before the gates of this secluded villa stood a youth with a slightly frail build. His appearance was slender, almost delicate. Yet, his back was straight, and his chin held high.
His gaze was calm yet playful.
Rahu observed the house and, after a second of analysis. He had to say that...the mansion was rather...simple.
"It seems that Xuenyi likes peace. But...oh well, I’ll figure that out later."
Saying that, he knocked on the door twice.
Knock Knock
A second later, the door began to open slowly with a small creak.
A woman in her early twenties wearing a maid’s uniform opened the door.
"What?"
She asked flatly, it was downright rude and arrogant. Rahu raised his brows when he saw this. This girl was merely at the peak of the Vital Core Realm, yet she already carried such arrogance.
But Rahu still maintained his smile, handing her a paper. He spoke.
"I was recommended as a servant here by the Third Elder."
He spoke, hearing his words. The maid snatched the paper from his hand and scanned its contents.
After a few seconds, she folded the paper and looked at Rahu for a few seconds.
"Wait here, I’ll confirm this."
As she walked away, Rahu glanced at her back for a few seconds. A ruthless glint flashed in eyes...but soon, he turned his gaze away.
"They sure do a lot of formalities, well, if this fails. I’ll just have to storm inside the mansion."
A few hours ago, he and Thalia had abducted one of the elders, specifically the Third Elder, and forc—talked with him until he wrote a letter of recommendation for Rahu.
The only good thing about the previous Rahu was that...he was inconspicuous. Only a few people barely knew him. Namely, Mo Rath, a few of his dead subordinates, and...Amelia.
He didn’t know if Xuenyi could recognize his face or if some other suspicions would rise, so for now he could only depend on the juices of Lady Luck.
Step Step
The maid returned, her face as haughty as ever. "Get inside."
Even though his face was a cut above the word handsome, she still didn’t seem to put him in her eyes.
Rahu shook his head with a smile on his face and followed after the rude bitch.
After a few minutes, they arrived behind the villa. There was a small house...no, it couldn’t even be called a House. It was a worse place, even avoided by a high-maintenance beggar.
It was a tent with patched holes everywhere, with a few basic amenities inside it.
"This is your house from now on, and you are to be working with the kitchen team. Your shift will start at 6, and it will end at 10. Heh, wait for the next orders."
The maid had a mocking smile on her face as she said, turning her gaze to observe his reaction.
But...none came.
She was surprised that there was not even the slightest sign of irritation or frustration on his face. It was calm and unreadable.
"Alright, tell the Matriarch that I’m grateful and I’ll start my work tomorrow morning."
Rahu said in a flat tone, further surprising the maid.
"A-Alright"
Saying that, she left the place. Her expression remained confused. But what she didn’t know was...the moment she left, Rahu’s lips curled slightly.
...
The next day, Rahu changed his clothes into those of an assistant chef and walked inside the house.
And as he had guessed, it wasn’t any different from outside. The air inside was cool, and the entire place was maintained.
There were no luxurious items or any victory ’games’. There were only the necessary items.
"Hmph, Yueshan should take some lessons. That lavish bitch always spends money on useless things."
Shaking his head, he stepped towards the kitchen hall.
The kitchen was large enough to support a maximum of ten people. Stepping inside, he saw there were already four men working around the kitchen. The moment his footsteps echoed, the men snapped their heads in his direction.
"Oh? Look who has arrived."
"Heh, it’s the recruit."
"Hmph, you better watch out, boy."
And as Rahu had expected, even the lowest servants here reflected incomparable arrogance. Even Rahu was surprised a bit, because these cooks were merely the seventh and sixth stages of the Body Structuring Realm. But the smile on Rahu’s face didn’t fade, cupping his hands. He spoke in a humble tone.
"I greet the seniors here, do look after me as I am a recruit here."
Hearing his voice, the three men were surprised for a moment and then burst into laughter.
"Haha! Good! That’s the attitude you are supposed to show your seniors!"
"Heh, brat. You’ve got potential."
"Alright, everyone. Enough chit chat, you, the newbie. Come here and mop the floor."
The men laughed. The fourth one quickly called out and instructed Rahu.
Rahu nodded, taking a mop from the table, he began...mopping the floor.
Soon, time passed. Two days were up. The men continued to increase the work on Rahu excessively. And then there was no news from the Matriarch. It seemed as if she had entirely forgotten about Rahu.
Rahu continued his work. Although his cooking was a bit rough around the edges, it was still tasty.
And finally, on the seventh day, the maid arrived.
"Rahu...from here on, you have been promoted to the position of Kitchen head. You have the authority in the Kitchen"
The maid spoke with the same tone, but when the three men heard this. They frowned.
"Hey!! What’s the meaning of this!?"
"Yes! We have been working here tirelessly for the past eight months!"
"And this dumb guy here gets a promotion in a...week? Outrageous!"
Rahu’s lips curled up when he heard this, turning around. He looked at the last guy, who was glaring at Rahu.
"So, you wouldn’t listen to my orders, huh?" He asked.
"Hmph! Brat, you were here just a week ago! Don’t flatter yourself!"
The man sneered, and others nodded with agreement.
"I see," Rahu merely nodded and walked back.
"Huh?"
"...He left? Just like that?"
The other men were surprised at this, but soon, their questions were answered.
Rahu returned, but this time there was a mop in his hand. With a smirk on his face, he stepped towards the last guy.
"Rule no 42, disobedience to the team leader is directly seen as disobedience towards the Matriarch! And the punishment is..."
With a wide grin on his face, he swung the mop in his hand towards the head of the man violently! The servant couldn’t even react to it, before.
PUFF!!!
His head instantly exploded like a watermelon!
"...Death"
