Infinite Game - Start With SSS Rank Class-Chapter 104: Damon
Nick frowned and asked in a low voice, "That terrifying? How do you know?"
Jonathan shook his head. "Don’t worry about that. Just know we can’t mess with them. Ah! But you can get acquainted with that man over there."
As he spoke, he pointed toward a fairly fat man with a friendly face, his hands clasped behind his back, staring at the marked area.
"He is..."
"That’s Hudson, a doctor. He’s also a Rank 2 Survivor, no, maybe by now he’s already leveled up to Rank 3," Jonathan explained. "He’s very friendly, and he has the superpower Healing. He’s never killed anyone, and he has no intention of killing anyone."
"Among the Survivors, he’s the friendliest one, and also the one everyone respects the most. If you get hurt, you can go to him." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"He can’t heal your arm?" Nick frowned.
Jonathan shook his head. "He’s not a god. My arm was burned to ash. How could it be healed?"
Nick nodded, his gaze on Hudson, carrying a probing look.
Hudson seemed to notice Nick looking at him and turned his head toward Nick.
But unlike what Nick expected, Hudson simply nodded lightly and gave him a very friendly smile.
Nick frowned, feeling a bit confused. In this world, were there still good people?
Jonathan patted Nick’s shoulder and pointed at a skinny man with long black hair and deathly pale skin. He lowered his voice. "You’d better not mess with that bastard. He’s not human. He’s a monster wearing human skin."
"Even though he isn’t strong, he’s filthy and vicious. He won’t hesitate to use any method to destroy his enemies."
Nick nodded slightly, silently memorizing what Jonathan said.
But at that moment, he also felt that this apartment complex wasn’t as safe as he had thought.
Back when he had been first place in the second game round, he had thought he was almost the strongest existence.
But now it was different. Besides him, there were many others stronger than him, far more ruthless than him.
"Agh! Look who I found..."
A voice filled with mockery rang out.
Hearing that voice, Jonathan silently cursed, ’Fuck you!’
A blond man with a skinny build was dragging two chains in his hands, the other ends looped around the necks of two women.
They crawled on the ground, wearing only lingerie, their bodies covered in wounds, their faces expressionless, their eyes empty, as if they were nothing but two human-shaped puppets.
Seeing this, Nick frowned, wanting to do something, but Jonathan immediately grabbed his shoulder.
Nick turned and saw Jonathan shaking his head, whispering, "Don’t mess with him."
"But..."
Jonathan patted Nick’s shoulder and said, "I get it, but you can’t mess with him."
Nick fell silent, clenching his fists until they turned white. Even though he wasn’t a good person either, seeing what that blond man was doing, he couldn’t just stand by.
Jonathan glanced at the young man, his eyes only sweeping over the two women crawling on the ground like dogs, then looked back at him and frowned. "Damon, if I don’t mess with you, you don’t mess with me either."
Damon curled his lip into a grin, his eyes landing on Jonathan’s stump, and he said with contempt, "What’s wrong? Where’d your arm go? Your mom so hungry she ate it? Hahahaha..."
Jonathan raised an eyebrow slightly, but then still said calmly, "Want to try a bite? If you bark like a dog, I’ll give you a piece, but on the ground."
Hearing that, Damon’s face gradually twisted into something terrifying. He ground out, "Lost an arm and you’re still talking big?"
"Damon..." Jonathan said indifferently, "My strength doesn’t come from whether I’ve still got both arms. It comes from..."
He didn’t finish. The two people he had brought immediately stepped forward, standing in front of him.
Seeing that, Damon’s smile disappeared. He snorted, then dragged the two women toward a corner.
"Wait!" Nick spoke up.
Jonathan could only rub his forehead and sigh, already knowing what Nick was about to do.
Damon stopped and turned around. Seeing Nick, he frowned. "You are..."
"Let those two girls go," Nick said.
Damon burst into laughter. "Hahahaha... Fuck! First time someone’s dared to talk to me like that, hahahaha..."
Hearing Damon’s laughter, the crowd began to pay attention to them. However, their looks were as if they were watching something extremely funny.
Nick frowned, sensing their gazes as if they were laughing at him. He couldn’t understand it. Was Damon really so strong that everyone thought Nick was guaranteed to lose?
"You wanna play hero, kid?" Damon said with a laugh, his voice icy to the extreme.
Nick wasn’t afraid. He stared straight into Damon’s eyes and said with a frown, "Let them go. I’m not saying it a third time."
Damon clenched his jaw and yanked the chain hard.
Clink! Clink!
"Agh!" One girl was dragged down onto the floor, and Damon planted his foot on her head.
"How fucking funny. What the hell are you? Wanna save them? Then... suck my dick. If I feel good, I’ll..."
Whoosh!
Before Damon could finish, Nick swung his hand, and a green wind blade shot straight at him.
But Damon wasn’t afraid at all. Seeing the wind blade, he only smiled and muttered, "Elemental power? Nice, but... way too weak..."
Whoosh!
The wind blade sliced through Damon’s body. Seeing that, Nick felt contempt. ’Huh! Thought he was some big shot. Turns out he’s trash, can’t even take one hit.’
But... there was no blood, no guts spilling out like he imagined.
Instead, Damon’s body suddenly turned into a thick plume of white smoke.
"What?!" Nick jolted, his face full of disbelief.
While he wasn’t paying attention, a strand of white smoke had already coiled around his throat, then tightened.
"Ugh!!" Nick tried to scream, but couldn’t, as if a rope were strangling his throat, tighter and tighter.
Nick swung his hand, a gust of wind slicing out and cutting the smoke apart.
Feeling the pressure on his throat vanish, he immediately retreated, staring at Damon with a wary face.
Damon’s body slowly rejoined itself, even his clothes unaffected. He looked at Nick and smiled in contempt. "What’s wrong? Scared?"
"You bastard..." Nick ground his teeth, but he really was a little scared.
What had just happened overturned everything he knew. How could Damon turn his body into smoke? Was that his superpower?
Damon gripped the chain and tightened it hard. The girl’s face slowly turned white, her eyes rolling back.
"Stop!" Nick shouted.
Damon laughed wildly, his voice eerily calm. "Come on... stop me!"
"You bastard!" Nick swung his hand. Countless gusts rose up, dragging sand and dust around Damon, forming a wall around him.
Seeing this, Damon only sneered. "So boring. Looks pretty, but doesn’t do much."
He extended a finger. It turned into a stream of smoke and rushed into the swirling wind wall Nick had created.
Damon frowned, as if searching for something, but very quickly, a mocking smile appeared on his face. "There you are!"
The smoke was like a rope, wrapping tightly around something. Then he yanked hard.
BAM!
The storm wall vanished instantly. Nick flew through the air, his leg tightly bound by smoke, as if Damon were fishing.
Thud!
Nick slammed onto the ground with a heavy sound. He gritted his teeth and looked at Damon, but the anger in his eyes was gone. In its place was worry and fear.
Damon tightened the chain, making the woman convulse violently for a long moment, and then... she went still.
"You..." Nick wanted to say something, but he felt the smoke wrapped around his leg tightening more and more. His face turned pale.
He swung his hand, trying to cut the smoke, but another stream of smoke, like a chain, wrapped around his arm, then lifted him high.
Jonathan couldn’t stand watching anymore and immediately spoke up. "Enough, Damon. Let him go."
Damon glanced at Jonathan, his gaze turning colder by the second. "You ordering me around? This your dog?"
"No." Jonathan shrugged and said lightly, "But he’s my ally."
"Ally? Hahahaha..." Damon laughed loudly. "Then you should find a new ally."
"AGH!!!" Nick screamed, feeling like his arms and legs were about to be crushed.
Jonathan frowned. "What do you want?"
Damon answered indifferently, "Want to kill him. If you want to save him, then pay me a price you can afford."
Jonathan gritted his teeth and glanced at Nick, but in the end, he chose to stay silent.
Nick had huge potential, but picking a fight with Damon because of him wasn’t a good idea.
Besides, he only had one arm now. The Catgirl was badly injured and still couldn’t recover. He had also lost Urlgun. His current situation was terrible.
Jonathan took a deep breath and stepped back.
Damon bared his teeth, his face savage. "Good! Tuck your tail. If not..."
Whoosh! Whoosh!
At that moment, the howl of wind rang out. A streak of black light shot toward Nick, precisely piercing the two streams of smoke binding his leg and arm, freeing him.
Thud!
Nick fell to the ground, his face contorted in pain.
Damon frowned and slowly turned his head toward the passage.
There, a group of people were approaching, drawing closer and closer to him.
Seeing them, Damon’s eyes lit up, his face showing extreme excitement. "Beautiful... so damn beautiful..."
