Chapter 102: 10x Gravity Battle!

"AHHHHH!" Vogue roared with pure fury and battle rage.

He raised his machete high above his head with both hands gripping the handle. Energy began pouring into the blade from his body—not just normal energy, but a massive concentrated surge that made the weapon glow white-hot.

"Star Annihilation Strike!" he bellowed at the top of his lungs.

He brought the machete down in a vertical slash with absolutely everything he had.

"KA-BOOOOM!"

A massive arc of blade energy surged forward through the air like a crescent moon made of pure cutting force. The energy blade was enormous—easily ten meters tall and fifty meters long—and it traveled forward in a perfectly straight line.

Everything the blade arc touched was instantly severed cleanly into two pieces.

Players and radiants were both cut in half at the waist, their upper and lower bodies separating. Pillars were sliced through like they were made of butter, causing sections of ceiling to collapse.

Bodies fell everywhere, cut apart so cleanly that many didn’t even realize they were dead for a few seconds.

Twenty-three players died in that single devastating attack.

The remaining players who had been charging forward suddenly stopped in their tracks. Fear appeared in their eyes for the first time. They had come here expecting an easy hunt, thinking that overwhelming numbers would guarantee victory.

But this boy was fighting like a demon, cutting through their ranks like they were nothing but ordinary civilians.

Vogue’s blade still trembled from the force of the technique he’d just unleashed. His body had turned completely crimson red from activating his enhancement techniques to maximum. Steam escaped from his pores like visible aura rising from his skin, creating a misty effect around his body.

The ground beneath his feet cracked and split as he took a step forward toward the hesitating players.

He hadn’t even activated his Dragon Form yet. This was still just his base combat abilities enhanced by Dragon Might and Black Sun.

"Didn’t you want to kill me!?" Vogue roared at them, his voice echoing through the store. "So come on then! COME ON!"

The players stared at Vogue with wide eyes filled with genuine terror. Their bodies were tense, their weapons trembling slightly in their grips. Fear had completely overtaken their earlier confidence and aggression.

They desperately wanted the rewards that Divine Son Xander had promised to provide them. Earth Grade techniques, Sky Grade manuals, wealth, status—all of it was incredibly tempting and life-changing. These were treasures that most of them could never hope to obtain through normal means in their entire lives.

But no reward, no matter how valuable or rare, was worth risking their actual lives for. What good was a Sky Grade technique if you were dead and couldn’t use it?

Vogue had just killed approximately twenty players in just under one minute of continuous combat. Twenty trained fighters with awakened talents and special abilities, cut down like wheat before a scythe. At this terrifying rate of slaughter, wouldn’t he simply kill every single one of them if they kept attacking?

The math was simple and brutal. There had been roughly one hundred players in this hunting group when they started. Now there were fewer than eighty still alive and standing. Twenty percent casualties in less than five minutes of engagement.

If they continued fighting, how many would actually survive to collect any reward?

The remaining players began unconsciously taking small steps backward, their formation loosening as individual survival instinct overrode group coordination. Several of them were openly considering whether they should just turn around and flee while they still could.

Up in the sky above the destroyed department store, Divine Son Xander’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he watched his hunting party being completely intimidated by a single opponent. His jaw tightened with barely suppressed anger.

This was unacceptable. These players were supposed to overwhelm Vogue through sheer numbers and coordinated attacks. They were supposed to bring him the head of this Ultimate Evolution candidate so he could harvest the Evolution Fruit effects from the corpse.

Instead, they were cowering like frightened children because one person had shown some combat ability.

Xander would not tolerate this embarrassment.

He suddenly opened his mouth and spoke a single phrase, his voice carrying clearly despite the distance and reaching every player on the ground below.

"Divine Strength."

The moment those two words left his mouth, something extraordinary happened.

Golden light began cascading down from the sky like a waterfall made of liquid sunlight. The radiance was beautiful and terrible at the same time, shimmering with power that made the air itself vibrate.

The golden aura descended and landed directly on the bodies of all the surrounding players who were part of Xander’s hunting group. The light sank into their skin, their muscles, their bones, flowing through them like electricity through copper wire.

Instantly, every single player felt their strength erupt and double in magnitude.

Muscles that had been tired suddenly felt fresh and powerful. Energy reserves that had been depleting rapidly were completely refilled. Injuries that had been slowing them down were numbed so they no longer hindered movement. Even their mental state changed—doubt and fear were pushed aside by aggressive confidence and battle fury.

They roared like wild animals, their voices merging into a bestial chorus that echoed through the ruined store. Their eyes took on a slightly glazed look, as though they had gone partially berserk and lost some of their rational thinking in exchange for pure fighting instinct.

Then they surged toward Vogue once more with renewed determination, their earlier hesitation completely gone.

At the same moment, the thin girl with the gravity manipulation talent spoke up from her position on top of the collapsed truck. Her voice was strained with effort as she formed the triangle with her hands once more and centered Vogue inside it.

"Ten times gravity!"

She put everything she had into the technique, pushing it far beyond the five times multiplier she had used before. Sweat immediately began pouring down her face from the mental strain of maintaining such an intense effect.

The moment she activated the ability, Vogue felt as though an entire mountain had suddenly materialized on his shoulders and was pressing down on him with crushing, impossible weight.
