Infinite Regeneration In The Apocalypse-Chapter 137: Gloria’s Shock!
The variety was absolutely staggering. If someone needed any physical object for any purpose whatsoever, it was probably available somewhere in this miscellaneous section.
But Vogue wasn’t interested in random materials right now. He had a specific, immediate need.
He navigated back to the main menu and clicked on the [COMBAT TECHNIQUES] section. This category was what he desperately needed to explore.
Currently, his only real combat method was the Revolving Star-Moon Blade Technique with its four powerful moves. It was an excellent Sky Grade technique, but it had limitations. Most importantly, he needed more diverse ways to utilize his four awakened elemental laws in actual battle situations.
Simply exploding clones was effective and efficient, but it wasn’t exactly subtle or versatile. He needed proper combat techniques rather than just overwhelming force.
Vogue searched specifically for "elemental combat techniques" and the results began popping out.
Hundreds of options appeared, organized by element and grade:
[Nine-Thunder Dragon Blade Slash] (Earth Grade) - Lightning-based sword technique that channels thunder law through blade strikes to create chain lightning effects
[Frozen Lotus Seventeen Petals] (Sky Grade) - Ice-based technique creating seventeen overlapping defensive ice barriers that counterattack when broken
[Phoenix Immolation Fist] (Heaven Grade) - Fire-based close combat style where each punch carries regenerating flames that heal the user while burning enemies
[Glacial Emperor’s Absolute Domain] (Divine Grade) - Ice technique creating a territory where the user has complete control over all frozen matter and temperature
[Temporal Echo Strike] (Legendary Grade) - Time-based attack that hits the target in the present while simultaneously striking them one second in the past and future
[Inferno God’s Descent] (Mythic Grade) - Fire technique summoning a massive avatar of flames that fights alongside the user with independent intelligence
[Thunderfall Thousand Spear Formation] (Heaven Grade) - Lightning-based technique creating a formation of a thousand lightning spears that can be controlled individually or fired simultaneously
[Chrono Blade: Seven Severances] (Divine Grade) - Time-based sword art that cuts through seven different temporal layers with a single strike
The list went on and on, each technique more impressive than the last. Vogue scrolled through dozens of options, comparing their effects, their costs, and how well they would synergize with his existing abilities.
Then suddenly, his scrolling stopped. His eyes had landed on one particular combat technique that made his breath catch.
[PRIMORDIAL FIVE-ELEMENT BLADE CANON]
[Grade: Divine Tier Blade Technique]
[Type: Elemental Saber/Blade Art]
[Core Principle:] This legendary technique merges five elemental powers—Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, and Wood—into a single primordial force that can overwhelm enemies through creation and destruction.
[Special Properties:]
- Automatically adapts to user’s available elements
- Can substitute similar law-based elements (Ice for Water, etc.)
- Unlocks hidden combination techniques when multiple elements are mastered
- Contains 108 individual blade forms that can be chained infinitely
- Ultimate technique creates a primordial chaos blade that contains all five elements simultaneously
[Requirements:]
- Must possess at least three elemental affinities
- Blade weapon specialization
- Stellar Knight realm or higher
[Cost: 250,000 Pain Points]
Vogue’s eyes widened considerably when he read the technique’s full description. This was exactly what he needed—a comprehensive blade system that would let him properly utilize all four of his elemental laws in coordinated combat.
But when he checked the price listing at the bottom, his pupils constricted with disappointment.
Two hundred and fifty thousand pain points. He was still short by nearly forty thousand points. So close, yet not quite enough to make the purchase.
Vogue sighed heavily and reluctantly exited the shop interface. Perhaps when the people who had learned about his treasures inevitably came to kill him and steal his belongings, he would be able to accumulate enough additional pain points through the resulting combat to afford this technique.
He found himself actually looking forward to being attacked now, which was a strange but pragmatic perspective. Every assassination attempt was just another opportunity to farm pain points and grow stronger.
Then Vogue turned his attention to the second ability that had been unlocked alongside the shop function.
He mentally clicked on [CLONE MERGE] to read its full description.
[Ability: Clone Merge]
[Description:] Allows the user to merge the accumulated power and experience of created clones back into the original body, directly increasing cultivation level and combat strength.
[Limits:]
- Merging one clone raises user’s power by one minor level within current realm
- Example: Level 1 Stellar Knight + 1 merged clone = Level 2 Stellar Knight
- Merged clones are permanently consumed and cannot be recreated in 24 hours
- Maximum safe merge limit: 18 clones per realm (matching maximum creation limit)
- Breaking through major realm barriers (Stellar Knight → Luminous Realm) requires merging 3 clones simultaneously at peak of current realm
Vogue’s eyes lit up with excitement as he processed this information. This was an absolutely fantastic ability that had arrived at the perfect time!
As long as he created and merged clones systematically, he could fight above his level.
Vogue opened his eyes, ending his meditation, and found Gloria stirring awake in the bed behind him. She sat up slowly, the blanket sliding down as she stretched and yawned.
"Good morning," she said sleepily, her voice still soft and warm. "How long have you been awake?"
"Not long," Vogue replied with a gentle smile. "Just doing some morning cultivation practice."
Chapter: A Precious Gift
"What are you doing sitting on the ground like that?" Gloria asked sleepily, her voice still thick with drowsiness. She yawned widely and stretched out both arms like a baby reaching for its mother, making grabby hand motions toward Vogue.
Vogue chuckled warmly at the adorable sight and stood up from his meditation position on the floor. He walked over to the bed where she was still lying under the blanket.
Gloria immediately wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace the moment he got close enough, pulling him down toward her with surprising strength for someone who had just woken up. She buried her face against his chest contentedly.
Vogue leaned down to kiss her good morning, but Gloria suddenly shook her head and turned her face away shyly, breaking eye contact.
"I have terrible morning breath right now," she mumbled in embarrassment, covering her mouth with one hand. "Let me go brush my teeth first before you kiss me."
Vogue smiled at how this mature, professional woman could act so endearingly cute in private moments. He gently held her chin with his fingers and turned her face back toward him, not allowing her to escape.
Then he kissed her deeply and intensely, completely ignoring her protests about morning breath. The kiss lasted for nearly five full minutes of passionate connection before Vogue finally pulled back.
Gloria gasped desperately for air when they separated, her chest heaving as she tried to catch her breath. Even though she was a Stellar Knight now and could technically survive without breathing for quite a while using cosmic energy, that didn’t mean holding her breath was comfortable.
"Naughty boy," she said between gasps, playfully slapping his shoulder with mock disapproval. But her flushed face and bright eyes showed she had enjoyed every second of it.
Vogue easily lifted Gloria’s body and repositioned her so she was sitting comfortably on his lap, her legs draped across his. He wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her stable.
"I have a gift for you," Vogue said with a mysterious smile.
Gloria’s eyes immediately lit up with excitement. She absolutely loved surprises, especially the thoughtful little presents that Vogue occasionally bought for her with his limited funds. Those gifts always meant more to her than expensive items from wealthy suitors because they represented genuine sacrifice and care.
"What is it? Show me, show me!" she said eagerly, bouncing slightly on his lap like an excited child. "I want to see what you got!"
Vogue raised his right hand in front of her face with a theatrical flourish, but his palm was completely empty. There was nothing there at all.
Gloria raised one eyebrow skeptically and pouted at him with exaggerated disappointment. "Vogue, you joke around too much. That’s mean to get my hopes up like that!"
But then, in the next instant, something materialized in his raised hand out of thin air. A fruit suddenly appeared, pulled from his system inventory space.
The fruit was shaped distinctly like a newborn baby curled up in a fetal position, with all the characteristic curves and proportions that made it unmistakable once you knew what to look for.
Gloria was confused at first about what exactly she was looking at. "What kind of fruit is this? I’ve never seen anything shaped like this before."
She took the fruit carefully from his hand and examined it more closely, turning it over and studying its unusual form. "It looks like a tiny baby," she said with a mischievous giggle at the strange appearance.
But then, suddenly, recognition dawned on her. The pieces connected in her mind. A fruit shaped like a baby? That distinctive form was mentioned in stories and legends, but she’d never actually seen one in person before.
"Wait... is this... an Evolution Fruit!?" Her eyes went impossibly wide with shock, and she gasped so loudly it echoed in the small room.
