Infinite Regeneration In The Apocalypse-Chapter 95: The Chase
A single branch stretched outward from the ice-blue plant and reached toward the dragon cocoon floating nearby. The branch extended until it touched the golden chains wrapped around the cocoon.
Suddenly, there was a loud cracking sound that echoed across the entire internal world. A second crack appeared in the cocoon of golden chains, splitting apart next to the first crack.
"ROOOAAARRR!"
A dragon roar shook the entire world, so powerful that it made the grey sky ripple like water. The blood pool surged violently, sending waves crashing in all directions.
A second dragon head erupted from the newly formed crack in the cocoon. This dragon head pushed its way out into the world, breaking free from the golden chains.
The second dragon head was completely blue instead of silver. Its scales were the same ice-blue color as the plant.
Its eyes glowed with cold blue light. Frost formed in the air around its snout every time it breathed.
This was a new dragon head awakening—an Ice Dragon!
Instantly, the small ice-blue plant began growing at incredible speed. It shot upward, the trunk thickening and branches spreading.
Within moments it had grown into a massive tree whose tips reached all the way to touch the grey clouds at the top of this inner world.
Now there were two massive trees in Vogue’s internal world. The silver Time Tree connected to his first dragon head, and the blue Ice Tree connected to his second dragon head.
Back in the real world, Vogue’s body had changed drastically.
His skin had turned completely pale white, losing all its natural color until he looked like a statue carved from marble. Thick layers of ice were forming across his entire body—starting from his hands and feet and spreading inward. His fingers became coated in frost that grew thicker with each passing second.
His hair was transforming too, turning from its usual red-silver color to a striking blue-white shade, like it was freezing over from the roots to the tips. Individual strands became stiff with ice crystals, giving his hair an almost metallic appearance.
The temperature around him had dropped so drastically low that the moisture in the air was crystallizing instantly. Tiny ice particles were forming out of nowhere and falling like snow inside the closed room. The walls were covered in frost. The windows had frozen completely solid. Even the air itself seemed to turn into visible white vapor with every breath.
It looked like Vogue was sitting in the middle of a winter storm, except all of it was centered on him.
At the same time, a system notification suddenly popped up before his eyes, glowing with golden light against the icy background.
[Congratulations! You have awakened a second dragon head: Frost Dragon]
[Your Ancient Nine-Headed Primordial Dragon Physique has been enhanced]
[Dragon heads awakened: 2/9]
Then the notification expanded to show him the specific abilities he had gained from this new awakening:
[Frost Dragon Abilities Unlocked:]
[Absolute Zero Breath] - Exhale freezing air that drops temperature to near absolute zero, instantly freezing everything in its path.
[Ice Palace] - Create a domain of ice that transforms the surrounding area into a frozen fortress under your control.
[Frost Rain] - Summon a rain of razor-sharp ice fragments that can pierce through armor and flesh.
[Son Of Frost] - Absolute control of frost and ice. Completely resistant to ice magic and attacks.
Vogue stared at the notifications for a long moment, barely able to believe what he was seeing. Then he burst out laughing, his voice echoing through the frozen room.
"Hahahahaha! I didn’t expect a second ability would actually awaken my second dragon head!"
His laughter was genuine and filled with joy. This was an incredible stroke of luck.
According to the knowledge that had been imprinted in his mind when he first received the Ancient Nine-Headed Primordial Dragon Physique, the requirements for awakening each dragon head were extremely strict and difficult.
Each head needed either a drop of divine dragon blood from a being of legend, or the user had to experience true death and be revived. Those were the only two known methods, and both were nearly impossible to achieve.
But now he had actually managed to bypass all those harsh requirements and unlock a second dragon head simply by eating an Evolution Fruit and getting lucky with the ten percent chance. It was almost too good to be true.
Vogue immediately stood up from the bed, his body still covered in frost and ice. He focused his mind and transformed into his dragon form.
"Dragon Form!" he commanded.
Immediately, the temperature in the room changed dramatically. Instead of continuing to drop, it suddenly rose drastically as heat radiated from one side of his body while cold emanated from the other.
Vogue’s left eye turned pure ice blue, glowing with cold inner light. Half of his hair, which had been completely blue-white moments ago, now shifted to become bright blue on the left side while the right side turned silver. A curved horn erupted from the left side of his head, made of what looked like solid blue ice.
Half of his body on the left side became covered in beautiful blue dragon scales that shimmered with frost. The scales were cold to the touch and radiated freezing air. A single wing ripped out from the left side of his back, the membrane between the bone supports appearing to be made of frozen crystal.
His left arm transformed into a complete dragon limb, with a powerful claw that had blue talons as sharp as razors. A tail grew from his lower back, thick and muscular, covered in blue scales.
Vogue could feel the cold radiating from his transformed side. With just a thought and a simple flex of his will, a perfectly shaped snowflake appeared and fell into his palm. The snowflake was geometrically perfect, each of its six points identical, glowing with faint blue light.
He looked at it with fascination for a moment, then clenched his fist around it.
Instantly, a sharp ice blade appeared floating in the air directly in front of him. The blade was about one meter long, perfectly straight, and so clear it was almost invisible except for its razor-sharp edges.
