Michael drove to Anvil Plaza, which was a mall that was located not far away from the sky technologies’ building.

As usual, the mall was busy, with a lot of traffic coming in and out of the mall.

After finding an empty space in the parking lot, Michael parked the car, before the two of them went into the mall.

Since Marion did not come with the aim of shopping, she had no particular place that she wanted to go. So, they could only begin moving around from floor to floor, mostly window shopping.

But in case there was anything that any of them liked, they would buy without hesitation. But of course, they did not carry them around. Instead, they left them in the stores, asking for them to be delivered outside later on when they would be leaving.

Marion was quite a chatterbox, something that Michael had not anticipated. Even though she was older than him, being 25 years old, she did not seem to care about the age got between them at all.

Still, she was the one doing most of the talking, while Michael did the listening. After all, with Michael spending most of the time in the villa, he had less to talk about.

But, he found that listening to Marion talk wasn’t boring at all. She shared quite a number of things, including the times in the capital, and some funny events that had happened in her life.

And seeing that Michael was listening to her, Marion was excited, and she continuously spoke without stopping.

It was to the point that Michael had no choice but to give her a bottle of water, just moisten the throat.

He felt that it was a little funny, considering that despite Marion being an adult, she was acting like a teenager. Maybe this was related to her family, and the expectations that were placed on her?

Maybe those were the things that restricted her from exhibiting this side of hers, to experience the freedom of being herself.

While the two of them were walking, suddenly, behind them, someone called out Michael’s name.

"Michael? How come you are here?! Wait, don’t tell me, you came shopping with your girlfriend?"

Upon hearing the voice, Michael immediately recognized the owner of the voice. The two of them had not interacted that much, just barely.

But even then, this lady was very familiar with him, even though Michael also knew about her, through the information that he had acquired on the forces within Brenton City back then.

The two of them turned around, looking at a lady with deep blue eyes and wavy hair. She was a beauty, and was currently dressed in a flowing white dress, giving her an innocent vibe.

She was none other than Susan Anders, Kate’s friend. She had come with Kate to the villa, on the day that he revealed to Kate the information on NEXUS.

Back then, he had tried to ask Susan to leave, but she insisted on staying. She was thinking that Michael was lying to Kate, so, she decided to stay and listen to what Michael had to say, so that she could judge if it was a lie or true.

But since then, the two of them had not interacted, that was especially after Kate had left. The two of them had only met because of Kate. And with her not around, it was inevitable that the interaction between the two of them would reduce, or completely vanish.

Michael simply shook his head slightly upon hearing Susan’s words. Just what was going on in the brains of this girl?

Just going shopping with a girl, did that have to imply that the girl was the person’s girlfriend? Sometimes, even simps took girls shopping, yet they were not the boyfriend, sometimes just some backup plans or ATMs.

"I knew it! You were lying to Kate. She just left for about a month, but you are already with someone else? This time, I have to tell Kate, so that she will dump you!" Susan continued speaking, not giving Michael a chance to say anything.

Marion on the other hand felt amused when she heard this. Now, she found out something, that was, Michael had a girlfriend. She was quite curious, what girl was capable of charming Michael?

But before being curious about that, she decided to clarify things first. So, she said, "I think that you have misunderstood something here. I’m not his girlfriend, I’m his cousin."

"Huh?" Susan, who had just been all hyped up, thinking that she had gotten Michael cheating, was left stunned by Marian’s words.

She began blushing in embarrassment, as she had not understood things before she began making accusations. If this spread out, how would things look for her?

In the end, she lowered her head and said, "I’m sorry, I misunderstood you. It is just that, it has been a while since I talked to Kate. And when I saw you with another girl, I overthought."

"No need to sweat about it." Michael did not take this to heart at all.

Still, in his mind, he was puzzled. Since when did he and Kate began dating? Yes, Kate had confessed her feelings to him, but Michael was still unsure back then.

For that reason, the issue regarding the relationship between the two of them was still hanging until now. So, it was clear that Michael was not dating anyone.

"You guys are here for shopping too? I just came back to Brenton city, and I thought that I would come here to pass time for a bit before I go back. How about I join you guys?" Susan asked, though she still felt a little embarrassed.

Before Michael could even say anything, Marion quickly agreed, thinking that having more company was great.

"Yes, let’s go together. This guy here, he just listens, and talks less. Maybe if you join us, the shopping will be even more exciting." Marion exclaimed as she nodded.

With the company of the two ladies, Michael went through the mall, visiting almost the entire building.

As for the amount of money that was spent, it was quite high. With the two ladies, even if they did not need it, as long as they liked something, they wanted to buy it.

In the end, Michael ended up spending over $3 million within the mall, before the two ladies were finally satisfied.

By this time, it was already approaching afternoon, and the two ladies were already tired. As Michael, due to his enhanced physique, he still felt light, as though he had not been walking around for hours.

"What is your body made of?! You have been moving around with us, but not even a little bit of fatigue is visible on your face!" Susan looked at Michael and could not help but exclaim her surprise.

Thinking about them, being able to move at such an incredible speed, possessing tremendous strength, and most of all, being capable of ignoring bullets, literally, walking around the mall wasn’t anything at all.

She was quite curious, just how had Michael managed to become like this? During this time in the mall, she had been observing him, and she saw that he was just like anybody else.

It was not like in those science fiction movies that she had watched before, where mutants had some mutations appear on their bodies. Some even had their personalities altered, to the extent that they became emotionless.

But from the fact that Michael ’had’ a girlfriend, he definitely wasn’t emotionless, right?

Seeing that Michael did not respond, Susan did not say anything either. In any case, she wasn’t really expecting any answer from Michael.

"I’m so tired, and hungry." At this time, Marion commented.

The moment that he said those words, Susan’s eyes suddenly lit up as she remembered something.

She remembered the time that she had visited Michael together with Kate. At that time, the food that she ate was incredible. Ever since that day, she usually found that the food that she ate everyday was bland.

She really wished to go to visit Michael, so that she could get food from there, but then again, she had no courage to go. After all, she was not familiar with Michael, and Kate was not around either.
