Information to Mastery: Points Store System-Chapter 301: Request, Investment
Upon being asked this question, Alex was momentarily dumbfounded, not sure how to respond. Inadvertently, he gazed at Michael, as if he was asking for his opinion.
Even though he was doing it subtly, Raymond, who was paying attention, caught it. At first, he was confused, not understanding why Alex would look at Michael.
But then, he remembered about the incident that had happened during their previous visit. Michael was able to get a perfect score for every shot.
Was it possible that Alex had been taught by Michael? That was the only possibility that Raymond could think of. Otherwise, why would Alex look at Michael, as soon as he was asked this question?
"F"ck! You sneaky guy! You actually asked Michael to tutor you on your shooting skills, and you hid it from all of us?" Raymond shouted as a he gazed at Alex with envy and jealousy in his eyes.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Alex on the other hand seemed surprised by Raymond’s words, as he asked, a confused expression on his face.
"You are acting ignorant in front of me? Don’t think that I didn’t see the look that you gave Michael. Tell me, how did you bewitch my cousin-in-law, so that he can make some time out of his busy schedule, to train you?" Raymond closed in, his face close to Alex’s, as he asked.
At the same time as he asked this question, he was fuming inside. If only he had known, he should have gone to visit Michael sooner. That way, his skill level would have improved tremendously.
Since Michael was able to train Alex, why would he not give him the chance? In fact, he could just join Alex, and they could train together. At that time, confident in his learning ability, Raymond believed that he would have been the one to steal the show today.
Facing the aggressive Raymond, Alex shifted his body backwards, while gazing at Raymond with a puzzled gaze. He could not understand what this guy was thinking of.
Additionally, he was confused, who was the one who had told this guy that Alex had been learning under Michael?
The more he looked at Alex’s confused expression, the angrier Raymond got. This guy, he had already been found out, yet he was still acting ignorant?
While Raymond was questioning Alex, the others seemed to understand. They all finally understood why Alex’s skills had improved by such a huge margin within this time. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
If it were anybody else, they thought, they would definitely not be able to allow Alex to be able to improve to such an extent. But if it were Michael, they all trusted his ability, believing that he could accomplish that.
Still, they were all envious of Alex, as if they had gotten the chance, they would have definitely been able to improve their skills.
"Hey, you misunderstood. Michael is a very busy person. Apart from meeting him a few days ago at the KTV, I have never really met him any other time, aside from the time that he helped my sister when she was kidnapped." Alex shook his head as he tried to explain.
But of course, nobody bought his explanation. Instead, they all just glared at him, feeling that he had betrayed them.
If he could have Michael train him, why not bring the others along? It was not as if they would steal Michael from him, right?
"Actually, I am not the one who trained his skills. Instead, it was one of my men, who was training him during his free time." At this moment, Michael suddenly spoke up.
If it had been anyone else, nobody within the group would have believed this. But since this was personally said by Michael, then that had to be true.
Considering that Michael was from a mysterious background that nobody could tell, and his skills at such a young age, he definitely had good teachers.
So, if it was a skilled person from his family who had been training Alex, it could be understood why Alex was able to improve so much within a short time.
"Hehe, cousin-in-law, can I also join? I promise, I want waste much of his time. I will be attending the lessons at exactly the same time as Alex, so, he doesn’t need to create time for me." Raymond chuckled as he spoke while facing Michael.
Once again, the crowd was left speechless by Raymond’s words and actions. It was just completely unlike him to act like this.
Michael did not give much thought to this as he immediately agreed. In any case, this was not much of a problem.
Even if they needed some private lessons, he could grant them, as it would only just cost a few more SP. With the current rate at which he was earning SP, he could definitely afford that.
Ask for how Michael was being trained by Lucas, it was actually about a month ago. It was just two days after he had saved Melvin, Alex’s sister, from the hands of the Dark society.
When Michael had saved Melvin, Alex swore that he would do whatever Michael wanted him to. He was even willing to lay down his life for Michael.
Of course, Michael dismissed this, but still, Alex insisted. And eventually, just a day later, he contacted Michael again, asking him for help.
According to Alex, he claimed that since he was willing to follow Michael, he had to be useful. At the moment, most of the skills that he possessed, Michael was extremely good at them.
Since he understood that he could not beat Michael, still, he thought, as long as he would be skilled enough, he might be useful during some situations.
Therefore, he claimed, if possible, he would like to have Michael train him, so that he could improve his shooting skills. That way, even if Michael wanted him to go and complete a mission for him, he would be able to do it.
Of course, Michael understood that this was just an excuse that this guy was using in order to train his skills. Still, he did not refuse, instead, he asked Lucas to teach him whenever he had time.
Lucas was going to be the one to decide on the time for the lessons, and how many days a week, or sometimes, maybe the plan would be altered depending on the situation.
So, within just about a month, Alex’s marksmanship skills had improved visibly. Of course, Lucas was also training him in combat, to make sure that in case he faced a situation where he was out of bullets or could not use his gun, he could still use other methods.
Regardless, this training, it would need to take quite a while, in order to have Alex reach a high level. In fact, it might be even a few years later, for him to be able to reach a proper level for him to be able to take on missions.
The moment that Michael agreed to Raymond’s request, the eyes of the others around all glinted with interest. It seemed, they were going to ask Michael if they could also join in.
As expected, Dalton spoke first, "Michael, can I also join in? I don’t expect to be taught personally, but I can just listen to the tips from the side. That should be enough."
Immediately after Dalton spoke, the others interjected, all asking Michael for the chance. Of course, while they were speaking, one could faintly see the blushes on their faces, as they were kind of embarrassed to ask for something like this.
In any case, ever since they had been with Michael, it seemed that they had not given him anything? Apart from taking him around with them a few times, they had not given him anything of value.
As for Michael, not only had he raised their status within their families, but he had saved them from Brian a few days ago. And now, they were asking for more, which made them embarrassed.
It was just that, they did not seem to have any other choice, as they were unwilling to see as Alex and Raymond improved, while they remained stagnant.
To all of the requests, Michael agreed. He had a goal in mind, thinking, maybe in the future, he might need these guys.
So, this could be counted as an investment, for the future. In case there was a need for superhumans, maybe he could grant these guys a chance to become superhumans.
Ever since he obtained the AI, Onyx, he had already investigated about Alex and the others. From what he had gathered about them, at least, they all had good characters.
As for loyalty, this was something that could not be guaranteed, but it could be easily taken care of when the time came. So, he thought, they could gain some skills now, and might be useful in the future.
With that thought in mind, he decided, once he went back, he would have to purchase a few bio humans, who were skilled at using guns, so that they could train these guys.
But as soon as this thought emerged in his mind, he suddenly thought against it. It seemed, with mutants appearing, there would definitely come a time when the bullets would be useless.
At that time, those mutants would definitely serve no purpose. So, why not purchase the same model of bio humans as Adrian and the others? That way, those bio humans could be much more useful in different circumstances, not just focusing on training Alex and the others.
"Well, well, well. As expected, you are here. Today, let me see where you will run to." Just as the group was excited about Michael accepting their requests, a loud, arrogant voice suddenly rang out.
