Immediately after Jack finished speaking, Alex and the others suddenly noticed that there was yet another group of people behind Jack’s group.

And the moment that they began paying attention to this new group, some of them were confused, while others felt relieved.

It was not that they were afraid of Jack and the others, as they had faith in themselves. Additionally, wasn’t Michael here?

With Michael’s abilities, he was capable of taking down Jack and his entire group just by himself. Additionally, Dalton was incredible when it came to fighting, so he could take on several opponents at the same time.

It was just that, inside this shooting range, no matter the kind of conflict that a person had with the other, they were not allowed to fight in here.

This was why some people within Alex’s group wondered, could this new group have come here to resolve the conflict between the two groups?

Just as they were puzzle about what was going on, the new group entered the shooting lane, making it extremely crowded.

"Max, what’s going on?" Alex approached the leader of the new group and asked.

He understood Max quite well. This guy, he was usually quite lazy, and mostly stayed in his office, rarely going out. Even if there was a fight within the shooting range, he would mostly not get himself involved.

Therefore, Alex was surprised why this guy came up this time. Could it be that there was something major that had happened?

From the moment that Jack became so aggressive, Alex felt that there was something off. And Max coming over as well, that made him feel even more uneasy.

Despite hearing Alex’s question, Max did not respond. Instead, he went and stood next to Jack, while grumbling in a low voice, "Kid, better know your limits. Deal with the issue as fast as possible, I don’t want to be disturbed."

Seeing the two of them conversing, Alex and the others immediately understood what is going on. Clearly, Max had come here to back Jack and the others.

Alex’s expression became extremely dark, as he realized, something big was happening. As for what it actually was, he was still in the dark.

"Max, for all our years of friendship, why don’t you tell me what’s going on?" Alex got straight to the point.

"Okay, I’ll be clear. You should know about my background. For some reason, someone high up there has decided to back this guy here. So whatever he does, I have to support him.

I hope that you cannot blame me for this. My hands are tied." Max responded as he shrugged.

"That’s right. You guys, you have always been arrogant within the city, claiming the prestigious title all around. Just because your families are bigger than ours, you do whatever you want.

In every conflict that we have, we are the ones who have to back down every now and again. But today, things have changed.

Let me shock you. The backing that I have this time, it is something that none of your families can compare against. Even if you merge all your families’ assets, they are merely considered as pocket change.

Today, you have to agree to the competition no matter what. This is just me being fair with you. Otherwise, I would have just trampled all over you, and there is nothing that you would have done." Jack immediately said after Max spoke.

It was just that, Jack did not expect the reaction that he received from Alex and the others. From his perspective, after hearing his words, Alex and the others were supposed to be panicking.

But why was it that they seemed to be calm? And, they were looking at each other, with faint smiles on their faces.

Could it be that what he had just said was a joke? Or could it be that they did not take him seriously at all, thinking that he was messing around?

Just as he was getting impatient, Raymond suddenly burst out in laughter. Then he said, "Jack, can you stop with all this bullsh*t?! What? Are you going to tell me that the person who is backing you is from the capital?

Let me tell you, no matter what, I don’t believe that something like that can happen. After all, what good can you have that will make someone from the capital to back you up?"

Of course, something else that Raymond did not say was that, there was Michael. Even though they did not understand Michael’s background, by now, they understood that he was not that easy to deal with.

Immediately after, he looked at the group behind him and said, "Beat all of them up. You can beat them as much as you want, but just make sure that they don’t die."

With Jack saying these words, the group behind him became excited. Then, one of them came from behind the group, carrying a sack.

He opened it and poured its contents down, revealing a myriad of weapons. They ranged from crowbars, baseball bats, metal pipes, wrenches, brass knuckles, and a wooden club.

"Guys, I brought all types of weapons. You pick what you feel you can use well to trash these idiots with!" The guy who had just poured the weapons from the sack said in an excited voice.

Immediately after his words, the group around moved quickly, each one selecting a weapon that they felt comfortable with.

In just a moment, everyone was armed and ready to go, just waiting for the final command from Jack.

As his men were taking weapons, finally, Jack revealed a smile on his face. He had finally seen the reaction that he wanted.

Alex’s group seemed to be panicking, as neither of them had expected that Jack and the others would actually come with weapons.

Because this shooting range did not allow fights within, no weapons were to be brought inside. Therefore, Alex and the others did not have any weapon on them.

Additionally, the lack of reaction from Max implied that he already knew about the weapons, and was willing to allow Jack and the others to use them.

"What should we do?" Someone within the group could not help but ask in a low voice.

"There is no need to panic. As long as they don’t use guns, what is there to fear? We just have to be able to bear one strike, get close to them, and punch them hard." Dalton, who was close to the person who had just spoken, responded in a loud voice.

He did not try to hide what he was thinking, as he made sure that Jack and the people behind him heard him clearly.

But his words just made Jack burst out in laughter, as he felt that Dalton was too naive.

"Fine, let me see just how tough your skin is. Today, not only am I going to beat you up, but I’m going to make sure that you all end up in the ICU." Jack stated as he waved his hand.

With him doing that, the group behind him immediately began approaching Alex and the others. They did not rush towards them, instead, they approached them slowly, wide grins on their faces.

From the way that they were approaching, it was as if they were enjoying the tension and the fear within the eyes of the people within Alex’s group.

This was the first time that they were in such a situation, where they dominated Alex and the others. Therefore, they wanted to enjoy this moment. In fact, this was something that they had already discussed before they even came in.

So, all the actions were in sync, all wanting to see Alex and the others completely embarrassed, before being beaten up.

"Hmm? It seems that Ethan cannot hold back anymore? Is he the one who sent you here?" Suddenly, a loud voice reached everyone’s ear, stunning them.
