Upon hearing the shout, Michael stopped. He was not the only one who stopped, as everyone suddenly froze, while gazing towards the source of the voice.

For some of those that had not visited this shooting range before, or had visited it but not frequently, they were not that familiar with Max. Therefore, when they heard his voice, they looked over, to confirm who was speaking.

And when they looked over, they could not help but feel their bodies trembling slightly, when they realized that there was a gun in Max’s hand.

At this moment, the gun was pointed towards Michael, obviously, the words were meant for him. This made Jack and the others much more relieved, though they wondered, what would happen next?

Jack had not expected such a turn around of the situation. Initially, he thought that they were at an advantage, as his people were armed, while Alex and the others did not have any weapon on them.

Additionally, Jack and the others had already prepared before coming over, while Alex and the others were caught off guard.

And when Michael, this unexpected factor, spoke up, Jack understood that Michael’s background wasn’t simple. But, he never expected that Michael was this skilled.

To be able to take down on such a large number of people, even if they were not professional fighters, at least, some of them could fight. Additionally, with an advantage of having weapons, they should be able to deal quite some damage on Michael.

Unexpectedly, Michael had already dealt with 7 people, and he was completely unharmed. This implied that his skill level was extremely high, not something that some spoiled rich kids could compare to.

No, with Max intervening, Jack finally felt relieved. He was not sure how he was supposed to handle this situation that was spiraling out of control.

As long as Michael was dealt with, the rest could be left to him, and he would be able to complete the task that he was assigned.

"Max, are you crazy? You are seriously going all out just because of these bastards? I never thought of you going so low, to serve someone!" Immediately after Max spoke, Alex erupted on the other side.

Alex and Max were friends. While the friendship between the two of them wasn’t as good as that of Raymond and the others, but even then, they were in a pretty good relationship.

Alex understood Max quite well, and this guy was very proud. So, seeing him doing this, especially targeting him, Alex felt completely puzzled, with his understanding of Max completely overturned.

Max did not bother to respond to Alex’s outburst, as he just gazed at Michael, waiting for his response. He was afraid that if he failed to pay attention, Michael might suddenly attack him.

The skills and speed that Michael had demonstrated were almost inhuman. Therefore, Max dared not to be reckless, especially because he was pointing a gun at Michael.

Michael did not respond, his stance clear. He was obviously not going to abandon Alex and the others. If he really was the target, then he would be the one who would have implicated Alex and the others.

He was sad because, he was the one that was supposed to stand with Alex and the others in a situation like this. At least, Alex had helped him out on many occasions, and he really owed him quite a number of favors.

But now, he was the one that was leading the charge against Michael, which made him feel extremely guilty. But considering the situation, what could he even do?

After all, his actions and decisions would not just affect his own life, but the life of his family as well. At the moment, there really was nothing that he could do to help Alex and his group.

As for the frustration, it was from Michael’s attitude. If Michael left, it would make things much more simple to handle. At least, he would just have to make sure that Alex and the others did not suffer severe injuries.

But with Michael insisting on staying here, things would get much more complicated. And if he really was forced to shoot Michael, then, things would definitely blow out of proportion.

While he was still deep in thought about this, Jack suddenly spoke up, after his confidence had returned.

He sneered at Michael and said, "What an idiot! You have just been given away out, yet you don’t want to take it? Do you think that just because you are good at fighting, you can fight against a bullet?

If you think that you can dodge the bullet, then continue standing there. Otherwise, scram and get out of here."

Just like Max, he did not want to complicate things with Michael. Without understanding Michael’s background, it was much better to have things stay as they currently were.

Otherwise, if it ended up being a situation where Michael was fighting to the death, things would be much more complicated than he could handle. Of course, he believed that Ethan would definitely not go all out in order to protect him, just because he was the one who had instructed them to come and cause trouble for Alex and the others.

So, if they could avoid Michael, that would be much better. This was exactly why he was willing to give Michael yet another chance to leave.

But just as all of them were puzzled and confused about what Michael intended to do, Alex and the others, despite feeling tense, they felt a little more confident in Michael.
