Chapter 434: Chapter 434 - Damian who was sold off by his siblings

Damian’s eyes widened as he slowly looked back at his second brother who just sold him off. His face was angry but at the same time he turned so red he looked like he was about to explode. With gritted teeth he berated Darren, "You bastard. Who is stupid and why are you selling me like a piece of cabbage? You ingrate."

Dylan who I thought has no ability talk, murmured but it was loud enough for the three of us to hear, "Eldest brothers peepee is thick and long. Father said women love those so he is good enough for older sister to marry."

I heard a loud gasp coming from Damian as his jaw almost dropped to the floor. Darren laughed out loud but he immediately covered his mouth seeing that his eldest brother is almost dying of anger and embarrassment. I couldn’t help but look away and chuckle too.

I caressed Dylan’s head again and with a gentle voice advised him, "You shouldn’t tell other people about your eldest brother’s peepee. That is supposed to be a secret between him and his future lover only, you know?"

Dylan looked up at me with innocent eyes and replied, "You will be my brother’s wife, right? You can know the secret then." I chuckled again at how the two younger boys were so convinced that I was the one meant to take all of them to safety. Well, I wouldn’t have approached if I wasn’t interested.

Damian may not feel anything, given that I have learned to hide my soul power, aura, mana and everything to avoid uncontrolled resonances but a glaring 100 is currently showing above his head. That was the reason why I approached. The last time I saw this number was with Ioannis then with Aurum and his group. The rest were only in the 90s even with the buff effects.

I looked at Damian who is obviously still shocked about the conversation I am having with his two younger brothers. I spoke and asked, "How about you? Do you want to come with me?" I heard him gulp in response as he bit his lower lips in anxiousness with his eyes darting around as if looking for a way to escape at first.

He finally looked down, seemingly weighing his options then after a few seconds with a renewed conviction in his eyes he responded, "You have to buy all three of us. You can’t separate us no matter what. I will do anything you want as long as you give us basic things like food, clothing, medicine when we are sick and a roof above our heads. We won’t ask for anything else."

I took a couple of steps forward, this time Damian did not make a step back and tried to keep eye contact with me. This is a negotiation that he knows he can’t lose. I poked my finger on his stomach and with an teasing tone I asked, "I can do that but are you sure you can do anything?"

I did him a little dirty as while he was staring into my eyes, I released part of my soul power and aura so his soul can detect the resonance. I saw his pupils dilate and his eyes turn hazy for a few seconds before clarity came back. Seemingly understanding what just happened, he looked at me wide-eyed as his mouth opened but he couldn’t say anything.

I stepped back a couple of times to give some distance between us. His eyes looked a bit irritated suddenly as if he detested the fact that I wanted to keep a distance from him. Resonance really wakes up that possessiveness in men, I guess.

I smiled at him sweetly but did not say anything else. He looked at me with irritation in his voice as he asked, "You.... How.... Why?!"

I tilted my head in confusion at his incomplete sentences. He breathed deeply as he calmed himself down and asked, "How did you that? Why am I suddenly... With you... That’s illegal! I don’t want to end up like my father blindly obeying my demon of a mother."

I frowned dramatically then looked at Darren then at Dylan. I then dramatically said, "Your brother doesn’t like me so I guess we are not meant to be a family. Dylan, please let go of me and return to your brothers. I am going home."

Dylan obediently let go but then he started shedding silent tears with Darren. I turned around and started walking away. As expected, Damian ran after me and grabbed onto my clothes. I heard him curse under his breath, "This is why I hate resonance!" It seems like his body moved even before his brain realized what he was trying to do.

I stopped walking and looked back at him coldly. I then asked, "Anything you need?" He looked at me in surprise then fear started to seep into his eyes. He must have been surprised that the smile I showed earlier was gone and my eyes looked at him just like any other stranger.

He nervously swallowed as he politely asked, "I... I am not cursing at you. It is not that I don’t want to follow you... I just got angry at the idea that I will no longer be able to freely decide for myself. I... My father... He wasn’t like that when I was young...."

I scoffed and responded, "So you think I am a demon like your mother, huh?" He looked surprised then he shook his head quickly, his eyes pleading for understanding. He then stuttered, "I- I- I- did not say that. I was just- just- That’s not what I meant! I..."

I crossed my arms in front of my chest and looked at him in amusement, "So... Are you mine now or what?" He looked at me with teary eyes and responded, "Yours. All yours. Please."

In a blink of an eye, Damian, Darren and Dylan were back on to their previous positions next to their father’s selling mat. I was back in the crowd watching over his father fighting with a few men in the crowd. Damian looked around in confusion as if everything happened was just an illusion. Finally, his eyes met mine and I smiled at him. His jaw dropped as to what happened and even his brothers stopped crying while staring at me in awe.

I walked forward towards the "seller" and asked, "How much?" My sudden question stopped all the fighting and noise in the open area. The seller looked at me judgingly as I looked just like a regular passerby. He scoffed and responded, "500 silvers for all three. No haggling."
