Instigator and Protector of Violence-Chapter 338: Second Time in Jail
The news of Ethan’s arrest was like a sudden thunderstorm.
Even though this wasn’t Ethan’s first arrest.
But times have changed.
Previously, Ethan was just an artist with reputation and talent.
Now, many people are aware that Ethan has joined the Second Prince’s faction.
The Second Prince is currently in the Royal Capital.
It’s already a political event.
Many newspapers dare not speak out, only hinting that Ethan may have been arrested because of his Mafia background or filming Mafia movies.
Royalist Faction’s newspapers were much more direct, claiming Ethan was with the Mafia, and his arrest was due to events unfolding. They detailed his activities in Wenster, saying he started with smuggling illegal liquor.
In short, public opinion was in chaos.
As for Ethan?
Ethan was in the Kingdom Defense Bureau headquarters’ interrogation room, staring at Heisenberg.
"I thought you’d have that guy named Johnny interrogate me."
"No one will interrogate you."
Heisenberg remained expressionless.
"Should I thank you for stopping him?"
"Ethan, listen. You and I both know why you’re here. I don’t want to make things difficult for you; I just want you to stay here quietly until this is all over."
Ethan shrugged, indicating no problem.
"You’re the boss, Heisenberg. Whatever you say goes. If you want me here, I’ll stay here. I haven’t had your interrogation room coffee in a long time, would you mind getting me a cup?"
"Wait."
Heisenberg paused for a moment before heading out.
Outside the interrogation room, Johnny had just rushed back and was slightly out of breath. He looked at Heisenberg, a bit impatient.
"Sir, can I interrogate him?"
"No, go do your own thing. You can’t return to headquarters until he’s out."
Heisenberg’s tone was icy.
Johnny took a deep breath and finally nodded, leaving.
However, after a few steps, he suddenly turned back and said, "I heard Ainebez Princess came again..."
"Don’t ask what you shouldn’t." Heisenberg interrupted him.
After watching Johnny leave completely, Heisenberg continued toward the tea room.
The Princess indeed came again but had already left.
She couldn’t take Ethan away like last time, even though she personally came to the headquarters this time.
Heisenberg simply stated that she couldn’t take Ethan away as it was the Eldest Prince’s order.
Upon hearing the Eldest Prince’s name, the Princess visibly lost her momentum, but she insisted on seeing Ethan.
Heisenberg didn’t stop her this time.
Ethan probably talked with the Princess for fifteen minutes before she left.
Heisenberg didn’t know what they talked about, but as long as Ethan didn’t leave, it was fine.
Upon reaching the tea room, Heisenberg bumped into Joseph.
In truth, it might not have been a coincidence.
Joseph was likely waiting for him.
"Is there something you want to say to me, Joseph?"
Joseph just shook his head.
"I’m just here for coffee."
Heisenberg stopped looking at him, brewing two cups of coffee.
At that moment, Joseph suddenly said, "Arresting him is pointless."
"What?"
"Nothing. Just take care of him. He’s highly appreciated by the Second Prince Adrian. Make sure nothing goes wrong while he’s with us."
The Prince he mentioned was naturally the Second Prince Adrian.
However, this Second Prince wasn’t taking any measures to rescue Ethan.
Why?
What did Joseph mean by his words just now?
Was he bluffing?
With coffee in hand, heading towards the interrogation room, Heisenberg’s expression grew serious.
Without a doubt, Ethan was an opponent he couldn’t afford to undervalue.
Even though this guy was already locked in the interrogation room, rendered powerless.
Yet, Heisenberg had a strange feeling that things wouldn’t unfold as he planned.
Because in many past incidents, Ethan’s shadow was present, and those incidents ultimately developed in a favorable direction for Ethan.
Heisenberg always felt it was Ethan exerting force from the shadows.
Especially in that rainstorm.
Even though the official investigation concluded that Gustav ultimately killed Sandro, ending that rainstorm.
But, Heisenberg hazily felt some memory that Ethan truly triumphed over Sandro.
It couldn’t be called memory, more like a feeling, almost like a mystical sensation.
This is why he proactively started from Ethan this time.
"Here’s the coffee."
He entered the interrogation room, placing the coffee before Ethan.
Then he still asked the question.
"What did you say to the Princess?"
"Thank you."
Ethan first thanked for the coffee, took a sip, nodded, then said, "Nothing much, just told her not to worry. I won’t be here long before I’m out, given that I’m somewhat of a public figure, right? Everyone’s eagerly awaiting my movie..."
"What did you ask her to do for you?"
Heisenberg interrupted.
"Wow, Heisenberg, you’re still sharp. Alright, I did have her help with a minor task."
Ethan nodded.
"What?"
"I asked her to take care of the film set. I’m not there, and the movie has to keep shooting. I can come in, but others can’t; otherwise, how can the set function?"
Heisenberg didn’t speak further, taking a sip of coffee.
The two sat there, silently finishing their coffee.
Upon leaving, Heisenberg finally spoke again, "No matter what you’re planning, Ethan, you won’t have a chance this time."
"I honestly don’t understand what you’re talking about."
The interrogation room door closed, and Ethan shut his eyes, beginning to rest.
Outside, it suddenly started raining heavily again.
In the rain, Ethan’s crew swiftly moved from one filming location to another to capture the scenes during the rainstorm.
Simultaneously, in Little Ibia.
The gathering was the most complete in recent times.
Everyone gathered around Old Xi Wen’s large ship, indulging in food and drink.
This was Old Xi Wen’s reward, also akin to a last supper.
"Eat more, eat more, it’s all good stuff. Miss out this time, and there won’t be a next."
Amidst the crowd were many newly immigrated stowaways, scrambling for food like starving dogs.
As the master of these hungry dogs, Old Xi Wen stood on the ship, holding a golden goblet, savoring the scene amidst the rain.
"Mo Lun, don’t disappoint me this time, old Xi Wen is old, and can’t handle your surprises anymore."
Hard-headed Mo Lun stood aside, letting himself get drenched by the rain.
This scene resembled the opening of a play.
