Invincibility Begins with Mastery of Fist Techniques-Chapter 131 - 127: Wind and Thunder
Zhong Hongyu and the medical team immediately left the central control room and entered the training chamber.
After confirming there was no residual magnetic field around Zhou Yuanjue, Zhong Hongyu hurried to his side.
Zhou Yuanjue's clothes showed clear signs of being scorched by high heat. His skin was also burned, and dark bruises, likely from ruptured capillaries, were visible on his body.
However, Zhong Hongyu knew that the most severe damage was actually to Zhou Yuanjue's internal organs.
"Quick! Do a detailed examination!"
Zhong Hongyu said to the medical team behind him.
"That won't be necessary. I know my own condition."
Zhou Yuanjue waved his hand to stop the medical team from approaching. He then sat cross-legged on the floor, his Spirit rapidly turning inward as the Nirvana Fire blazed within him.
THUMP! THUMP!
His heart beat with a heavy, muffled sound as his blood circulated rapidly. The onlookers could clearly see a small bulge moving continuously across the surface of his skin, transporting vast amounts of nutrients.
The burns on his skin began to heal at a rate that was almost visible to the naked eye, leaving the medical team completely dumbfounded.
About an hour later, Zhou Yuanjue opened his eyes. The injuries on the surface of his body were completely gone. According to the feedback from the monitoring system, all the internal injuries he had just sustained had also fully healed.
This healing speed was even more terrifying than when he was unconscious...
Zhong Hongyu took a deep breath in the central control room.
When he was unconscious, Zhou Yuanjue had relied solely on his body's instinct for self-repair. After his Awakening, however, he could now control that instinct and direct it to specific areas, dramatically increasing his healing speed.
"Minor injuries" like the ones he'd just sustained could be healed in an hour. If he were to suffer another near-fatal wound like the last one, he could almost fully recover in one to two days, provided he had enough Energy and remained conscious.
It was a nearly inhuman constitution, the greatest reward he had gained from his Bathing Fire Nirvana between life and death.
Liehong Mountain had dared to teach him the method of communicating with the Natural Magnetic Field ahead of schedule precisely because he knew of Zhou Yuanjue's terrifying healing ability.
Anyone else, even another Saint Awakening Powerhouse, would have to practice this method with extreme caution, not daring to be reckless. Otherwise, the resulting physical damage would be incredibly difficult to deal with.
After his injuries had healed, Zhou Yuanjue stood up again. His Life Magnetic Field expanded, and he threw himself into the next round of training.
······
······
Day after day, a month passed in the blink of an eye.
Zhong Hongyu and Yang Lina were both stunned by Zhou Yuanjue's Cultivation.
For a whole month, the man never seemed to rest.
Aside from eating, drinking, and using the restroom, he spent all his time immersed in the training chamber.
He seemed to have mastered a method for deep sleep, needing only one to two hours of rest each day to be full of energy.
During this time, he had been injured hundreds of times. On the most terrifying occasion, his entire body was covered in severe burns, his clothes were almost completely incinerated, and he was left utterly unrecognizable. He was on the verge of critical injury, and one could almost feel the searing pain just by looking at him.
Yet, Zhong Hongyu and Yang Lina saw Zhou Yuanjue sit down cross-legged, his expression unchanged. He spent nearly a day recovering from his wounds, then rose to his feet, still expressionless, and resumed his training.
No fear. No pain. Only the desire to become stronger.
Before, whenever she faced Zhou Yuanjue, Yang Lina would still avert her eyes, intimidated by the immense, oppressive aura he unconsciously exuded. But in truth, she wasn't convinced of his superiority.
She had believed that reaching Saint Awakening was a matter of Talent, and even more so, a matter of luck. She thought the only reason she was weaker than him was due to physical differences.
But after this past month, she was utterly convinced.
She prided herself on being a workaholic, but merely monitoring the data day and night for a month had nearly driven her insane. And that was nothing compared to Zhou Yuanjue, who was personally enduring such horrific pain and the constant threat of death.
'This man has surpassed human limits, both physically and mentally. How can I not be convinced when faced with such a monster?'
'Perhaps this is why he was able to break through to Saint Awakening? With such dedication and willpower, what obstacle could possibly stand in his way?'
Night fell.
Zhou Yuanjue stood quietly in the training area. Moonlight streamed through the skylight, bathing him in its glow. A dense halo of red light surrounded him, and his chiseled upper body glowed crimson. The surrounding Natural Magnetic Field, stirred by his own Life Magnetic Field, coalesced around him.
Stimulated by this powerful magnetic field, the cells in his body seemed to be activated in some way. His physical attributes, which had plateaued, began to slowly increase once more.
The world was his furnace, and he was forging himself within it.
Furthermore, during this tempering, the very nature of his Life Magnetic Field seemed to be subtly changing, growing ever closer to the searing, bright, relentless, and unceasingly active field within the Natural Magnetic Field.
This meant that in the future, regardless of the situation or environment, he would be able to more quickly find and utilize a compatible magnetic field.
WHOOSH!!
Suddenly, the sound of a howling wind came from outside the training chamber.
A dark cloud seemed to drift across the sky, obscuring the moon and plunging the training chamber into darkness.
RUMBLE!!
Thunder roared. Accompanied by the gale, raindrops soon began to fall from the sky, pattering against the walls and ground.
"Is it raining?"
Yang Lina looked out the window, confused. A torrential downpour had started, obscuring everything outside.
"Yeah, looks like a weather system is moving in tonight. The weather in the Southern regions is always like this, it can change in an instant."
A staff member commented with a nod.
"Huh? What's he doing?"
Yang Lina watched as Zhou Yuanjue stopped his Cultivation and slowly walked toward the exit of the training chamber.
"Let's go. Follow him and see what he's up to."
Yang Lina said, her curiosity piqued. This was the first time in a month Zhou Yuanjue had wanted to leave the training chamber; for her, it was a rare event.
When Yang Lina and the staff members stepped out of the training chamber, Zhou Yuanjue was already standing far off in the downpour. Yet the rain didn't touch him. It was as if he were shrouded in an invisible barrier that kept the water an inch from his body.
Martial Force.
Untouched by the falling rain.
"The Martial Dao... it's truly incredible..."
Yang Lina couldn't help but marvel.
CRACK!!
Lightning split the sky, and thunder cracked the heavens.
At that moment, she saw Zhou Yuanjue move.
BOOM!!
His body suddenly swelled to a terrifying size. With his qi and blood surging, his entire body turned crimson. The monstrous, immense pressure he exuded was clearly felt even by the staff members standing dozens of meters away.
Zhou Yuanjue lowered his stance slightly, as if assuming a Foundation Stance.
VWOOM!!
The next moment, an incredibly vast Life Magnetic Field erupted from his body.
A blazing red light enveloped a radius of more than ten meters around him.
He slowly spread his arms. His highly developed back muscles flexed together, looking like a pair of wings.
Yang Lina and the others clearly saw the red light around Zhou Yuanjue constantly shifting until it finally formed a massive, lifelike Firebird.
SCREEE!!
A simple Cunning Hand technique tore through the surrounding air, creating a piercing sonic boom.
The giant bird formed from red light raised its head, beat its wings, and soared forward.
Yang Lina swore that this was the most stunning scene she had ever witnessed in her entire life.
Within a twenty-meter radius of Zhou Yuanjue, the rain was vaporized by the immense heat emanating from the giant bird, exploding outward in a massive cloud of steam.
Shrouded in the steam, she could faintly see Zhou Yuanjue standing in the downpour, a large, rain-free area cleared out around him. It was as if he had carved out a pocket of sanctuary in the middle of the raging storm.
This seemingly miraculous phenomenon lasted for less than half a second before the rain began to fall there once more.
He, with the power of a mere mortal, had carved out his own domain in the heart of nature's fury.
