"In response to the master, our mission is to attack and kill any humans entering or flying over the forest," the elder Tree Spirit respectfully replied.

"Who gave you this mission?" Yusuf continued to ask.

"It was the Demon King, sir."

"What’s the name of this Demon King?"

"How many tree spirits like you with awakened spiritual wisdom are there?"

"In the era before us, which was the time of Vince Trujillo the grand demon, there was a great tree demon. This demon was made of Innate wood, later transformed into a spirit human, known as the Immortal Divine Tree Demon King, but was said to have died."

"Alright, nothing to do with you!" Yusuf dismissed the startled Black Bull, turning his gaze back to the nine Tree Spirits, "Does the Immortal Demon King usually appear?"

"No," the elder Tree Spirit replied, "He only appears when humans intrude, ordering us to attack humanity, while he kills from the shadows."

"Hmm, aside from you tree spirits without human form, what else is in the forest?"

"Nothing else, just some birds and beasts, no humans or Demon Cultivators!"

"Then what’s beyond the forest?" Shane Ray suddenly asked.

Yusuf then gave Shane Ray a peculiar look; it would indeed be odd if these nine Tree Spirits knew that.

Sure enough, the nine Tree Spirits shook their heads simultaneously; they had never moved in their lifetimes, despite having awakened spiritual wisdom, they hadn’t transformed into human form, thus always growing stationary on the ground, so how could they know what’s beyond? "You... you... how unreasonable, how unreasonable!" The great tree demon could only stomp feet in the forest angrily but was helpless!
