Invisible Security Guard-Chapter 2413 - 2432: Red Rays
Yusuf Zuck was inside the Seven-Star Treasure Gourd, and after hearing the commotion outside for a while, it quieted down. He breathed a sigh of relief, because he heard from the shouts outside that Ayden Acme had successfully rescued Raul Graves, and neither Right Saint nor the others had caught up.
Meanwhile, he used the Eternal Fire to illuminate the space around him.
The surroundings had walls, but they weren’t stone walls; instead, they were fish-scale-like walls. The walls didn’t catch fire, and when the Eternal Fire hit them, it automatically slid off.
The ground was also fish-scaled; although the fire could burn on it, it didn’t get damaged.
Moreover, the space here wasn’t actually large, about dozens of square meters. Of course, he knew this was a Treasure Gourd space, and he was actually shrunken down, with the gourd being held in someone’s hand.
Here, he couldn’t use Divine Consciousness or the Door of the Other Shore.
Indeed, he had tried it. He couldn’t summon the Door of the Other Shore or even enter his Blue Sea and Cloud Sky.
This gourd was incredibly strange.
However, Yusuf Zuck wasn’t worried. Over the years, he had been in countless dangers, but hadn’t he survived each time?
His current physical body was an upgraded version of the Undying Gold Body; even the Eternal Fire couldn’t melt him. Therefore, he couldn’t believe there was any power in this gourd that could kill him.
After inspecting the surroundings and attempting a few attacks, he stopped and sat down cross-legged, waiting to see what Right Saint really intended for him.
The gourd kept moving, and the sounds outside were so mixed that he couldn’t discern who was speaking.
After about ten minutes, the gourd suddenly stopped moving and steadied itself. Then Yusuf Zuck suddenly heard a voice, "Yusuf Zuck, can you hear me speaking?"
"Heh, Landyn Torres, it’s been years, how have you been?" Yusuf Zuck sneered coldly.
"How are you feeling now?" Landyn Torres smiled lightly.
"How do you think? Since you’ve designed my capture, you can kill me or grill me as you wish." Yusuf Zuck had to admit that Landyn Torres was despicably cunning; he was careful and yet fell for the trap. This scoundrel’s speech at the hall earlier was likely well prepared, perhaps just a playback. Therefore, when Yusuf eavesdropped outside, he naturally rushed to rescue his family, only to fall into this gourd.
"I suppose... you can’t get out now, right? Although I’m curious about how you got into the Seven Isles, you probably don’t know the origin of the Seven-Star Treasure Gourd, so let me introduce it to you, so you’re aware." Landyn Torres laughed: "This Seven-Star Treasure Gourd appeared at the dawn of creation, a primordial gourd, purple in color, far stronger than any wish gourd, as it can contain the stars and moon of heaven and earth."
"Legend has it that when heaven and earth first opened, many supreme beings, possibly Creation World Realm experts, fell in the struggle to obtain this treasure."
"Creation World Realm beings died struggling for it; imagine how powerful this gourd is?"
"The gourd has many functions. I’ll explain one: once activated, whatever is inside – even a world – will turn into pus within the gourd. I know you’re skilled and fearless of wind, fire, and lightning, but what are they compared to this? The scales inside the gourd can emit light, purifying everything."
"Do you understand the power of the Seven-Star Treasure Gourd now?"
"If you want to say something, say it all at once. I want to sleep; I don’t have time to talk to you." Yusuf Zuck sneered.
"Alright, let me continue." Landyn Torres laughed: "Right Saint values those with talents and genius; previously entraping you was a recruitment effort. If you agree to join our Heavenly Demon Clan, serving Right Saint, he can spare you and release your family and followers."
"Of course, if you don’t cooperate, we will place your followers or family members into the gourd consecutively. You should know that once inside, escape into your cave world is impossible. So consider, you may withstand the refinement, but will your family not fear it? Their bodies aren’t as tough as yours; can you bear watching them turn into pools of pus?"
"We’ll give you three days to experience the power of the Seven-Star Treasure Gourd, and then decide."
"Do you find this interesting?" Yusuf Zuck retorted: "Do you think my character will allow me to be Right Saint’s slave?"
"What does your character matter? My character has endured humiliation for years; are you nobler or more fleshy than I am?"
"You can refuse; I don’t care, Right Saint doesn’t wish for your immediate death either. But he can ensure your family dies before your eyes." Landyn Torres replied.
Yusuf Zuck was silent because Landyn Torres was right. He may survive in the gourd, but could his family, if thrown in, last even seconds before turning into pus? He’d be powerless to save them.
Landyn Torres grasped his weakness, forcing him to a decision.
"Enough, Think Tank, why waste words with him? Seven-Star Elder, activate the gourd. I want to see its power, but don’t kill Gabriel Freeman. He must live; he is a son of the epoch, one of the Five Sons of Heaven’s Path. Once I’ve gathered the five sons, then... hehe..."
"Very well, then I’ll begin." The one called Seven-Star Elder agreed, and suddenly, Yusuf Zuck noticed the gourd filled with red light. The scale walls and floors inside emitted red rays, hotter than the sun’s rays, which began to scorch his skin.
Remember, he possessed a Golden Body, but these rays acted like a magnifying glass focusing sunlight, piercing at him point by point.
Pain, indescribable pain, unbearable pain.
Sweat streamed from Yusuf as he almost bit off his tongue, yet he made no sound whatsoever.
If he cried out in pain, wouldn’t Landyn Torres consider it a joke? The last thing he’d allow is for Landyn Torres to have such a spectacle.
The rays intersected densely, and Yusuf Zuck discovered that no matter how he dodged, he couldn’t escape their attack, not even avoiding his head.
"Huh? Why’s there no noise inside? Could he have died so quickly? I only used a third of the power." The Seven-Star Elder shook the gourd.
"No way, could he be truly dead? There’s not a sound." Right Saint’s voice entered.
"No, he’s enduring to avoid my mockery." Landyn Torres chuckled: "Yusuf Zuck, make a sound to prove you’re alive."
Yusuf Zuck didn’t bother responding, as he focused intently, with the Purple Blood Beads rapidly and continuously releasing purple liquid to heal where the red rays scorched.
The healing was quick, but the red rays persisted, demanding continuous repair by the purple liquid.
Thus began a stalemate; the red rays could only cause pain but couldn’t pierce him, due to continuous healing.
"Alright, since you’re silent, I’ll toss your sister in to keep you company." Landyn Torres laughed.
"Hm, I’m here." Yusuf Zuck had to speak; if his sister entered, she’d be doomed.
