To Helenaβs surprise, Eleanor threw back her head and laughed. ππ«ππ²π¨πππππ―ππΉ.ππ¨πΊ
"You know, a lot of insecure she-wolves in my pack are like you," Eleanor said.
"Like me?" Sara asked, tilting her head to the side.
She eyed Eleanor and her friends carefully, clearly sh hadnβt expected this kind of reaction from the group.
βShe probably thought theyβd be on her side since they all want Romeo as their mate,β Hera commented.
βSara isnβt exactly the sharpest tool in the shed,β Helena told her wolf as she sat back and watched how Eleanor and her friends would deal with Sara.
βWe surely misread this one,β Hera added.
βI think we can be friends,β Helena grinned as she watched Eleanor circle Sara like a predator stalking its prey.
"Didnβt you learn your lesson at training, Sara?" Jenna scoffed.
"Yeah, the Alpha handed you your ass in less than a minuite!" Chloe added.
"Wow, Alpha Romeo went up against a girl?" Eleanor asked, shocked that an Alpha would step onto the mats to fight a female packmate.
Alphas tended to avoid that kind of complication.
"She doesnβt look like she can handle an Alpha," one of Eleanorβs friends said.
Helena laughed at the double-edged remark.
"Oh, she definitely couldnβt handle Alpha Romeo," Jenna chuckled.
"It was Alpha Helena that handed her her ass on the mats," Chloe pointed out. "What was it, ten seconds?"
All the girls looked at Helena, stunned by how fast sheβd beaten Sara.
"Sheβs lucky the Gamma didnβt call for a fight till submission," Rae chuckled.
"I might be weaker in a fight, but a Luna doesnβt have to fight!" Sara argued, her voice breaking as she slowly lost the argument. "At least there will be no question on who the father of my pups will be."
Helena glared at Sara.
"Are you telling me youβre a virgin?" Eleanor asked.
Helena got up and placed a hand on Eleanorβs shoulder.
The other she-wolf looked at her and raised an eyebrow, most likely wondering why Helena was stepping in.
Helena shook her head and gave her new friend a kind look.
"You donβt need to fight my battles for me, Eleanor," Helena sighed.
"This bitch needs to be put in her place," Eleanor hissed.
"Werenβt you being mean to Helena just a few moments ago?" Rae teased.
"Sheβs different," Eleanor answered, rolling her eyes. "I made a mistake, and I fixed it. I came in too confident and too cocky."
"Plus what Werewolf doesnβt like to fuck?" Eleanorβs more quiet friend, Stella, asked.
"We wolves are very sexual in nature," Jenna said as she nodded, agreeing with what Stella had said.
"Saying that you kept yourself as virginal as possible is like saying you went against your nature," Stella accused. "Why would Alpha Romeo want a mate that denies what she is?"
Sara growled in response.
She glared at the she-wolves sheβd clearly underestimated.
"Youβve lost this one, Sara," Helena chuckled.
"And what right do you have claiming that the Alpha is your mate?" Eleanor asked as she stepped up next to Helena. "Have you been with him during the Blood Moon?"
Sara pursed her lips and didnβt respond.
"You havenβt, have you?" Eleanor chuckled.
"He slept with me the night after, he chose me!" Sara cried out.
Everyone was now watching the exchange between Sara and Helenaβs group. To Helenaβs surprise, Saraβs friends had remained silent, choosing to simply watch rather than to participate.
Rae scoffed at Sara, "He came home because he heard Helena had."
"He still spent the night with me," Sara argued.
"He was frustrated that Helena wasnβt here," Rae pointed out. "The sooner you get that through your thick skull, the sooner youβll be able to move on. Romeo used you to scratch and itch!"
"He is my mate andβ" Sara shouted.
"Oh please," Stella said, rolling her eyes.
Helena grinned at how Stella was now stepping out of her shell. It was quite interesting to watch the meek girl transform.
"You havenβt been with him on the Blood Moon, he hasnβt claimed you as his mate on any of the past Blood Moons. Get it through your thick skull, Silvya, he is probably not your mate," Eleanor spat.
"Itβs Sara!" Sara shouted.
"Whatever, Santana," Rae chuckled, following Eleanorβs example.
Helena laughed and shook her head.
Everyone looked at her and waited for her to speak.
"You do realize that every unmated she-wolf in this room has the same chance as you do to be Romeoβs mate?" Helena asked as she looked around the room.
There were a lot of unmated she-wolves that stepped forward as if theyβd been personally insulted by Sara.
"Well, at least those he hasnβt been around on the Blood Moon and isnβt related to him," Helena shrugged.
"Youβre his sister, you canβt be mates," Sara argued.
"Who said I wanted to be mates with Romeo?" Helena asked.
The room went silent with Helenaβs declaration.
"Helena," Rae whispered as she tugged at Helenaβs shirt.
"Why wouldnβt you?" Eleanor asked, stunned.
"Mates only bring pain," Helena confidently answered.
It was the first time she was vocalizing her stand on mates. It was unconventional. Every wolf dreamed of the night theyβd meet their mates and be whole.
"Thβ thβ thatβs impossible," Jenna said. "Iβve seen you with the Alpha, itβs clear he wants you as his mate."
Helena gave Jenna a sad smile.
"Heβs my best friend. Heβs been my best friend since we were kids," Helena shrugged. "Thatβs all weβll be cause this pack needs a proper Luna."
Rae laughed at Helenaβs words.
"Good luck convincing him," Rae said.
Luckily, she didnβt divulge to everyone that Helena had spent the whole afternoon in Romeoβs room.
"Lies!" Sara shouted. "Youβre desperate for him."
"Oh, just shut it!" Stella shouted. "Youβre such an attention whore that you canβt see when you arenβt wanted around."
Sara whimpered at Stellaβs words.
Helena sighed as she waved a hand, and Neil was quickly at her side.
"Kick her out," Helena ordered, and Neil was quick to obey.
