ISEKAI? More like I See Crap!-Chapter 347: Seeds of the Future ( )
From the next room, Faria covered her ears with both hands.
She could still hear faint, muffled sounds through the wall, Ellyn’s voice, soft and flustered.
"Hazuki~ d-don’t be too rough!"
Faria’s face turned slightly red.
How in the world does a human even... with a catgirl that small? she thought, sighing quietly to herself.
Deciding not to think too deeply about it, she stood up and stepped outside.
The knights were still gathered around the campfire, chatting softly. When Faria appeared, everyone immediately stood up straight.
"Miss Faria," one of them said, and the rest began to salute.
She raised a hand quickly. "Don’t. We don’t want Mister Hazuki getting suspicious. He still doesn’t know about Princess Ellyna’s real identity, and the princess herself commanded that we keep it that way for now."
"Yes, Miss Faria," they answered in unison.
"Did Hurka already head out with the fastest horse to the kingdom border?" Faria asked, folding her arms.
"Yes, Miss Faria," one of the knights replied promptly. "She should arrive soon and inform the units to secure the road from here to the border town, and through Pawston as well, to ensure Her Highness’s safety."
"Good," Faria nodded. "I’m sure Kaisha and her Royal Assassin Elite Unit, along with Varka’s Beastkin Mage Division, will assist us in keeping everything secure."
"We don’t know if Mister Hazuki will follow or not," Faria said firmly, her eyes narrowing slightly. "But we have to make sure we escort our princess safely until we meet Kaisha and Marka’s units halfway. This time, no one dares to try anything. Even if she’s already completed the Pinky Promise seal."
"C–complete?" one of the knights asked nervously.
Before Faria could respond, a faint, muffled sound came from Hazuki’s room, soft enough to make every knight freeze on the spot.
"...Alright," Faria said quickly, her face twitching slightly. "Everyone pretend you didn’t hear anything."
Everyone grew increasingly nervous as the minutes turned into an hour.
The sounds from Hazuki’s room still hadn’t stopped.
Faria sat by the campfire with a cup of tea in hand, her expression caught somewhere between composure and disbelief.
How...?
She took another slow sip, eyes narrowing slightly.
How is that human able to keep going this long?
And judging by the princess’s voice, it was clear who was winning.
Faria swallowed hard, quietly setting her cup down. The knights around her avoided eye contact, pretending to be deeply interested in the fire.
"...Let’s hope it ends in a few more minutes," Faria muttered under her breath.
"Yeah... let’s hope so," one of the knights replied weakly.
The next morning.
Ellyn was back in her "child" form, resting her chin on top of Hazuki’s head while riding on his shoulders as usual.
"Mm~ Hazuki, walk slower," she murmured sleepily.
"You’re the one who wanted to ride," Hazuki replied with a sigh, though a soft smile curved on his lips. "You could’ve just walked, you know."
A short distance behind, Faria watched the two of them with a faint smile tugging at her lips. Her knights walked quietly beside her, each pretending not to notice their princess’s overly affectionate behavior.
Our princess is completely smitten... too smitten, Faria thought, shaking her head lightly.
Her eyes softened as she saw Ellyn giggling quietly, tugging playfully at Hazuki’s hair.
"Soon we’ll reach the wagon," Faria said in a low voice. "Once we do, make sure everything’s ready. We have a long road ahead."
Her knights nodded silently, maintaining their disguise as ordinary adventurers.
Meanwhile, Ridan floated lazily above them, with Syaria clinging tightly to his side.
"Sob... sob... Ridan..."
"Ugh! Stop that, Syaria! It’s not like we’re going to be apart for that long! Just remember what those two mysterious guys said earlier!"
"Mm... I know... but still... uwaaaaaaa!"
"Ghhh!! Get off me if you’re gonna keep crying!"
Below them, Ellyn glanced up at the two floating spirits, Ridan struggling as usual while Syaria refused to let go. She couldn’t help but smile softly.
Her gaze shifted to Hazuki, walking ahead with both hands in his pockets, calm as ever.
Will he miss me when he’s on his journey?
Ridan told her that the quest Hazuki took wasn’t simple. That it was something important, something only Hazuki could do.
He’d even mentioned how Hazuki once slipped into a poison swamp and climbed out like it was nothing, complaining only about how "gross" it felt. Everyone else would’ve died on the spot, yet he just brushed it off like taking a bath.
And that wasn’t all. There was the Hidun Grass, whose gas could drive people insane with deadly hallucinations, yet it only made Hazuki fall asleep once, and after that, nothing.
Ridan also told her about the Life Fruit, a legendary fruit said to extend one’s lifespan by a hundred years with just one bite. But when she’d asked how many Hazuki had eaten, Ridan only smirked and refused to answer.
That means... my "husband" might be able to live with me for a long time, she thought with a small, content smile. Since beastkin can live for more than three hundred years...
"Tehe~"
"Ellyn?"
"Nya?~"
Hazuki froze on the spot. His entire body stiffened as he slowly turned his head upward.
"H-Hmm? Hazuki?" Ellyn blinked, tilting her head, ears twitching. "What’s wrong?"
"Y-you... you just said... what... earlier?"
"Huh? What?"
"N-no... the one before that..."
Ellyn blinked again, then smiled mischievously. Putting both hands up to her cheeks like paws, she leaned forward with her cutest face. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"Nyaaa~?"
Hazuki stood there in silence for a moment. His eyes widened. His lips trembled.
Then he looked down, his shoulders started shaking.
Everyone stared, confused.
And then...
"UOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!!!" Hazuki suddenly pumped his fist high into the air.
"ISEKAI DREEEAAAM!!! Original Nyaaa from a real catgirl!!!"
Ellyn blinked twice, then puffed her cheeks. "Mou! You’re so noisy, Hazuki!"
Faria just sighed from behind, rubbing her temple, while the knights tried their best not to laugh.
High above them, Ridan floated lazily, arms crossed and a smug grin on his face.
"Heh~ look at that idiot," he muttered. "So easygoing and carefree. A small thing like that already makes him happy."
Syaria just smiled softly beside him, saying nothing as she hugged him again.
Ridan glanced at her, then smirked. "Maybe that’s exactly why he was chosen. Someone who doesn’t care about power, yet somehow keeps growing stronger... to the point he’s immune to almost everything. I wonder how interesting he’ll become soon."
"Hm? Why, Ridan?" Syaria tilted her head.
"Oho~ you wouldn’t believe half the things we’ve seen," Ridan chuckled. "I don’t think even a thick book could cover all of it. The time he accidentally became a beggar for a while... or when he didn’t even realize he’d killed that monster that lured humans just to turn them into fertilizer."
Syaria blinked, looking half-amused, half-concerned.
Ridan grinned wider. "Ah~ and now there are still four more special herbs left to collect... Icy Leaf, Moonleaf, Streamflow..."
His grin grew even broader, eyes glinting with excitement.
"Oh, I can’t wait to see his reaction when he runs into that Lilith Blood..."
