Chapter 165: So...

"Can’t really blame me for trying, can you?"

I just shook my head at her and idly swirled around the water in my glass, wondering if I should fork over some more of my hard earned coin to get a little more wine or if I should just start sobering up.

Thankfully Ishtarnii answered that question of mine for me as she waved the waitress over again and ordered another bottle for me, the Bullkin just brushing off my ’complaints’ and instead returning to her platter of various finger foods.

"Kinda felt like asking something, just to keep this from being all silent and awkward... What are your plans for the future? Just study and then head back home afterwards? Stick around here and make something for yourself? Become an adventurer or something?"

"I... don’t really have any solid plans yet. I mean, I guess I know I want to try and stay here, just because there really isn’t anywhere for me to go back to? Or at least a reason to go back; no one is waiting for me back ’home’, so there’s no reason to even entertain that idea. I just want to push forwards..."

Immediately I felt a little embarrassed at having brought the mood down a little, though apparently it was just me thinking that since Ishtarnii finished chewing on the fried cheese ball so that she could say "This is definitely a good place to live. Somewhat more expensive then everywhere else, but the safety is unmatched."

"When we were at the salon the workers were telling us about a war that was started recently, so yeah... that definitely makes me want to stay here if I can."

Handing me the wine bottle when the waitress brought it over, the Bullkin just snorted and nodded her head as she added "There’s always a war being started somewhere, but there have been more recently than in the last few years."

Uncorking the bottle and pouring myself a nice glass, I sighed and stared at the enticing red liquid for a few seconds as I wondered about my future, unsure of what I could or couldn’t achieve now that this was all real.

"You should keep up the pace you’ve set and I think you’ll do fine. Make friends, find some nice people, try and get a good circle... Study hard at the Academy and you should land a job easily in Mythia, or you can become an Adventurer. Hell, if you really feel like it you can always look around for a strong wife!"

"What, someone like you?"

Smirking at me and nodding slightly, the Bullkin replied "Someone like me, sure... Or someone like Lu’Shaki or Kha’Miero. Maybe even someone like Professor Bo’Katari~?", teasing me and pushing me to drink some more to make this a little more ’tolerable’.

The mood was back up to being warm and enjoyable, and honestly I was really surprised by how easy it was to talk to Ishtarnii since I had just sort of believed her to be a rather quiet, reserved sort of person.

That might have just been because of Anwen being right beside her, and the more I thought about it the more it made sense to think that she was actually quite talkative and social, just being attached to the hip with someone as hectic as Anwen would make anyone seem reserved.

The smalltalk shared that treaded the line between flirting and teasing was very nice indeed, and with the wine warming me back up again I felt that the Bullkin really was a handsome, reliable looking futanari, and she had no issue at all laying the compliments on.

She also had no issue just chatting with me casually, discussing the hopes of the future and how getting further into my alchemical studies might actually make me one hell of a friend for her to have since I might be able to discount some of my potions when selling to her.

How she would come to earn that discount was left ambiguous, but with the ambiguous air between us already it was sort of obvious that she was looking to fuck me anyways, even if it didn’t earn her a discount on potions.

Right as we were getting to the point where I was going to suggest we head back into the room the Sinner rented for me, two others sat down at the table with us, putting our flirting on pause for the time being.

"Anwen really chose a nice place. We should come here often."

Kha’Miero was back to lounging on her chair with Sera on her lap, but now the relaxed posture she had paired with the very ’melted’ blonde melded to her chest made it rather obvious they had just finished having a lot of ’fun’.

"If you want we can make this a regular thing, preferably like every other week or something like that. This place is a little bit expensive to come around regularly, so unless you want to start doing Dungeon runs to fund it..."

"We certainly could, and it would be of help to us all. A way to refine our skills through actual combat, getting accustomed to adventuring with a party, learning the importance of specific ingredients or resources... it wouldn’t be a bad idea."

"The only problem is Anwen would want to make it an orgy every three seconds."

Kha’Miero just shrugged at that while stroking the blonde’s back, clearly not bothered by the idea; honestly it was one that I was partial too as well, because just thinking about all of us taking turns using Anwen had me as hard as a rock.

"Besides, Natalie here was just telling me about her desire to pursue Alchemy a little more seriously, so we could have potions made in house to cut on the costs a little. That would help us go deeper in the Dungeons on a small budget, and we could make a whole lot more profit that way too."

And then suddenly the conversation shifted from a lustful discussion about potentially gang banging Anwen to instead figuring out the logistics and feasibility of making Dungeon runs on the regular.

The Bullkin and the Draconian seemed to know a large amount about that sort of thing as they made a comprehensive list without much thinking, giving their own estimates on how much we would need and how much we would need to make in order for this to be a profitable and worthwhile endeavor.

The discussion kept on going even as the cause for the potential ’arousal’ came skipping back to the table, followed by a very satisfied looking Orc; they immediately joined the conversation even as they took a seat, and when they put their own thoughts in everything began to feel a little more... ’real’.

More food and drink found its way over to our table as Anwen and Lu’Shaki put in large orders for themselves, wanting to get that buzz back while also needing to replenish some energy after who knows how many rounds together.

"This whole idea is actually quite nice, though I am~ a little hurt that you all think I would cause disruptions during the Dungeon runs! Hmph!"

Anwen was trying to plead her case yet failing spectacularly since she was taking long, good looks at everyone that would be in our party and clearly imagining the scenarios she could get into with any of us.

"Please, don’t act like you wouldn’t try and get one of us to fuck you after you did sometime small. Forgoing that run’s payment in exchange for ’just one’ quickie, only to end up enticing someone else to come over and join in."

The Harekin continued to feign innocence as she replied "Well I can’t control everyone, and I don’t really have a big need for money! I tend to... pay in other ways~!", which really wasn’t helping her, though I doubt she really cared.

"Bringing us back to the more important thing, I would quite like to experience all of the Dungeons the Academy has access to, because each of them offers a wide range of experience for pretty much everyone.

Monsters that are either physically or magically resistant - sometimes immune - as well as monsters that make use of all kinds of elements and tactics to fight inside of their ’homes’; that’s the sort of thing I’m really here for, and I would enjoy learning alongside the rest of you."

Kha’Miero’s more sincere words grounded us a bit, and Lu’Shaki nodded in agreement as she added "It would be good experience to have. Dungeons are ever changing and adapting locations, so sometimes something unexpected pops up... and pops out of the Dungeon itself."

"While rare that does happen, yes, and it’s... quite sad."

Anwen mellowed out at that, while Sera lifted her head and said "We also can learn from one another. Everything we learn in class can be applied to the runs, and if someone understands something more they can teach the others in more practical, understandable ways."

Even with the music thumping and the aphrodisiacs pooling around us, we were chatting about something besides sex, though it only lasted for another few minutes before Lu’Shaki was rubbing my thigh again or Anwen snaked herself onto Ishtarnii’s lap.
