Jeff saw the look it was giving to him, he did not get angry but smiled coldly since it was not over yet. π§ππππΈπ¦π£πππ·ππ.π€π°π
"I have run out of arrows," Jeff said since he had only made three of them, and they were all broken.
Jeff then continued from his current position In the higher-up while the creature was at the bottom. He began to provoke the Lizard up here by saying.
"Is that all youβve got, big lizard? I thought you were supposed to be a predator!" He taunted.
"Come on youβre supposed to be dangerous, arenβt you? Or are you just all bark and no bite?" he voiced out in disdain.
The Comodo dragon was shaking angrily, and he could not help but curl his lips.
"What is that look you want to bite me? Here bite me here," he shouted, facing his butt towards the beast slapping it.
The Lizard could clearly sense that the human in front of him was mocking him, as it could only look at it with hatred.
Jeff, seeing that the creature had not been tricked, continued his provocation.
"You know, lizard, the rabbits are even smarter than you. You canβt even climb up here properly, why donβt let me see your ability!" Jeff said, pointing at the tree to make it climb up.
The Megalania veins from its forehead are becoming vivid as Jeff does not back down from it.
"Whatβs the matter? Canβt figure out how to get to me? Poor dumb lizard!" he yelled aloud.
The Megalania, who cannot handle its mocking words, jusorty about tjidst lay there on the ground treating his words like dog shit.
Seeing its carefree demeanor, looking at him as if mocking his entire being, he could not help but nod his head in appreciation.
"A smart enemy," he uttered.
When the Megalania heard a rustling sound in a nearby underbrush, he shifted its attention and glanced at it.
Then something came flying, hitting the Megalaniaβs head with a low thud, making him freeze.
When he was done frozen in place, he looked at the culprit who threw the small branches, but his face was hit, and the leaves brushed off his eyes, making them a bit hurt.
Hissed
The Megalania growled in anger as it wiped its face with its hands and looked at Jeff with hatred. Filled with endless malice, it rushed towards the tree to climb up again.
From his elevated position, Jeff tightened his grip on the spear, knowing full well that this fight was far from over.
His sharp eyes locked onto the enraged Megalania below, its crimson-red gaze burning with hatred as it hissed violently, causing a smirk on his face.
The lizard scratched at the tree bark, claws digging deep into the trunk as it began to climb.
Jeff just smiled, looking at its actions. "So, youβre still coming, huh? Letβs see how you like this," he muttered, shifting into a combat-ready stance.
As the Megalaniaβs massive head crept closer, Jeff thrust his spear downward with all his might, activating his skill.
[Piercing Thrust Activated...]
A faint glint ran down the spearβs tip as if channeling a focused energy. The strike pierced the Megalaniaβs side, narrowly missing its head as the creature shifted to avoid a fatal blow.
The sharp spear sank into the softer scales near its ribcage, and blood spurted out in a dark, viscous stream.
Hissss!
The Megalania growled in pain, its body recoiling slightly, but it didnβt fall. Instead, its fury intensified as its claws gripped the bark even tighter, and it pressed forward as if Jeffβs attack had only added fuel to its rage.
Jeff pulled back his spear, panting from the exertion of the skill. His arms tingled slightly from the strain.
"Damn it, I canβt keep using that," he muttered, wiping the sweat from his brow. He was tired since he used the skill of the bow and the spear.
Also, from running too much, if he uses it again, It will be him who will die of exhaustion.
As the Megalania climbed closer, Jeff jabbed downward again, this time aiming for its shoulder.
The wooden spear struck with a dull thud, grazing the creature but failing to penetrate deeply.
The beast growled but didnβt falter, its determination only growing stronger.
Jeff quickly thrust again, targeting its forelimbs in an attempt to destabilize its grip. The sharp stone tip scratched the scaly surface but couldnβt break through the hardened armor of its upper limbs.
"Damn, its scales are tougher than I thought," Jeff muttered under his breath.
Since it was a sharpened stone tip, a wooden arrow tip not piercing it makes sense. Unless he uses a skill, he can forget about injuring it.
Despite the pain and Jeffβs relentless strikes, the Megalania pushed forward with sheer anger.
It hissed viciously, baring its jagged teeth as it climbed higher. Jeffβs thrusts slowed as the creature approached, forcing him to backpedal slightly on the tree branch.
"Persistent, arenβt you?" Jeff said through gritted teeth, beads of sweat rolling down his temples.
He knew he couldnβt afford to let it reach his position; one swipe of its claws could easily knock him off balance or worse.
Jeff leaned down as the Megalania reached just below the branch, grabbing a thick branch from above him.
He threw it down as it hurled violently at the Megalaniaβs face. The branch slammed into the beastβs snout with a heavy, very heavy thud.
Momentarily entranced, the Megalania passed briefly, shaking its head to clear the disorientation from what Jeff did.
Taking advantage of this brief opening, Jeff thrusts his spear, his eyes filled with killing intent.
He aimed from the creatureβs now exposed underbelly, the stone tip peirced its soft flesh, drawing another pained hiss and a spurt of blood.
The Megalania lost its grip for a moment there, its claws closing against the bark as it nearly fell back.
But it did not let go, he didnβt lost its grip for that slight moment. Its claws were sliding down against the bark of the tree.
It growled in frustration, becoming even more aggressive due to the pain he felt. Its eyes burned with pure hatred.
The image of Jeff was greatly engraved in his heart and mind, and it could not wait to tear him to pieces if it caught it, so it burst in speed, lunging forward with ferocity.
Seeing it was increasing its speed, Jeff realized that continuing to fight from this position would only exhaust him further.
Now, he needed to tire it out again. Of course, the best course of action was to run and let it chase him around.
Waiting for just the right moment, Jeff throws a feint strike but quickly leaps down from the
Waiting for just the right moment, Jeff feigned another strike but quickly leaped down from the treeβs opposite side.
His sudden movement caught the beast off guard, and it froze for a split second, watching its prey jump below the ground.
Jeff rolled upon landing and, used this momentum to balance himself before springing into the dense forest.
"Catch me if you can, you stupid lizard!" he shouted over his shoulder, his voice echoing through the bamboo thickets.
Hearing that he still had this gal to cause him even more trouble, it leaped down from the tree with a heavy thud.
Itβs crimson eyes tracked Jeffβs silhouette as it gave chase, its massive body crashing through the underbrush.
The two of them then chased around the place, Jeff leads the creature to a patch of forest with fallen logs and large rocks.
Which it must climb or maneuver around them, while running he could leap over the logs and rocks so it was not a problem for him
Knowing that the Megalaniaβs size and weight will slow it down, the Megalania moves quickly, forcing it to use more energy to navigate the terrain.
Looking back at the creature, he saw the results of his hard work. The creature was having heavy breaths and was a little tired.
"Whatβs wrong? Are you getting tired already? Haha, so weak for an extinct animal," he shouted.
Being angered again, the Megalania delivered a short burst of speed to catch him, hearing the loud cluster in his back.
He knows what to do next, waiting for the right moment, and the lizardβs eyes slowly widen, seeing that it is about to catch its prey.
Suddenly he saw that the human sidestepped making him stunned, and what in front of him a sturdy tree.
Because it was running so fast, it could not stop midway from it. This causes the lizard to slam into the tree trunk so harshly.
The impact temporarily stunned it, and his head felt like it was spinning, seeing a bunch of stars. While causing some minor injuries.
Jeff saw that it worked, so he just distanced himself about 10 meters from it since he wanted the lizard to see him and chase him.
If he is not found, this creature will likely return to the cave to rest. After some time, the Megalania will be brought back in just a few seconds.
It glanced at Jeff with a huge bump on its face. Then, it chased him again as he sprinted to escape its clutches.
