Journey to the West: Treasure Vase of the Great Dao-Chapter 333 - 109: Gone Mad
There was no time for lament, as Lu Yu activated the Sunset Arrow and the Sun-shooting Bow in his hand, establishing a connection. The Sun-shooting Bow, which had been lying quietly beside Hou Yi, instantly flew into Lu Yu’s hand.
With his Primordial Spirit returned to its place, the Sun-shooting Bow appeared in Lu Yu’s hand. Xuan Yue looked at the bow and arrow in Lu Yu’s hand with surprise and delight, asking, "Is that the national treasure of our Kingdom of Women?"
Lu Yu nodded slightly, then drew the bow and released an arrow. In an instant, a golden light shone in the great hall, surging outwards, and the black water that had been billowing outward seemed to have encountered the natural order.
Countless wails emanated from the water nonstop, and the black vapors continuously rose, attempting to block out the golden light. But how could the light of fireflies dare to compete with the sun and moon?
The black vapors merely slowed the progress of the golden light but still could not alter their own dissipating fate. Before long, the mournful wails had vanished, and the black water was completely dispersed by the golden light, leaving only a single arrow feather, radiating a scorching aura, to fall slowly onto the ground, emitting a clear sound.
The Chancellor stood there dumbfounded, her eyes, dazzled by the brilliant light, could no longer see anything. She was blind.
The blind Chancellor lay on the ground in disarray, her hands constantly groping the cold floor, mumbling nonstop, "Where is my treasure, it can’t be, it’s absolutely impossible, I must be dreaming."
Lu Yu landed on the ground with Xuan Yue. Xuan Yue looked at the Chancellor, who had lost her soul and composure, and said coldly, "Stop searching, your treasure has completely disappeared, you’ve lost!"
"You’re talking nonsense. How could I possibly be defeated? I should be the king of the Kingdom of Women," the Chancellor said, her face distorted.
"That’s right, I am the King. All of you are treacherous ministers and rebels. Come, drag these traitorous officials out and chop them up!" the Chancellor commanded, spit drooling from the corner of her mouth.
Xuan Yue frowned and asked, "What’s wrong with you?" She felt there was something off about the Chancellor at this moment.
However, the Chancellor did not respond to her question but instead muttered foolishly, "I am the King, you all are treacherous ministers and rebels."
She had gone mad. After experiencing the highs and lows of life, the Chancellor, in her despair, had completely lost her mind. The craving for power controlled her soul, making it impossible for her to accept her current defeat. The once beautiful woman, the powerful Chancellor, had now become a madwoman, constantly spouting nonsense, utterly engulfed in a world of her own delusions.
Seeing this, Xuan Yue grew anxious. She rushed forward and grabbed the Chancellor by the collar, demanding loudly, "Stop pretending to be insane. Tell me, where is my sister?"
Yet, how could the crazed Chancellor answer her? She just kept looking at Xuan Yue with a foolish smile, her mouth still endlessly repeating the words that she was the King.
Xuan Yue’s eyes started to redden. She could not accept the disappearance of her sister. Flashes of her sister taking care of her since she was young crossed her mind. The more comforting those childhood memories were, the more agony she felt in her heart.
Even in the face of a chaotic court, even when confronting the powerful Chancellor, even when witnessing the swordplay of rebellion, Xuan Yue always remained strong without showing any weakness or fear. But at this moment, unable to find news of her sister, she released tears like a child. She truly did not know what to do.
Consumed by anger, she clutched the Chancellor, incessantly questioning about her sister, while her tears kept streaming down her face.
After a while, having stepped out of her intense emotions, she suddenly remembered Lu Yu. She quickly turned her head to see that her beautiful face was now covered in tears and snot, which made the pretty young girl look somewhat comical.
With a pleading tone, Xuan Yue looked at Lu Yu and said, "Help me, Lu Yu!"
Lu Yu sighed lightly and said, "Stop crying, I’ve just divined that your sister is still alive. We’ll go find her right away."
Upon hearing this, Xuan Yue immediately stopped crying, a hint of a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth, "Then why didn’t you say so earlier? You had me crying here for ages!"
In fact, Xuan Yue hadn’t even realized that she had never truly considered Lu Yu to be the all-powerful immortal of legend. Perhaps in her heart, she had long since sealed away such a notion since, after all, the immortals of legend were not allowed to marry.
"Seeing how earnestly you were crying, how could I have the heart to interrupt?" Lu Yu said, a smile also playing on his lips.
Instantly, Xuan Yue’s cheeks flushed red, she turned her head and hurriedly wiped away the tears and mucus on her face, her heart filled with immense chagrin. The most vulnerable side of her had been exposed to Lu Yu, how was she supposed to face him in the future.
Lu Yu quietly waited for Xuan Yue to finish tidying herself up, until she thought she could present herself in public, he then asked, "Ready now? Can we set off?"
By this time, Xuan Yue had raised her head, her face clean of tears and mucus, only her red, bloodshot eyes gave away her earlier distress.
"I’m ready," Xuan Yue said with an embarrassed nod.
Only then did Lu Yu walk over to Xuan Yue and took her hand in his.
Xuan Yue immediately became nervous and uncertain, she weakly asked, "Lu Yu, what are you doing?"
"He won’t do anything to me, will he? What should I do, should I resist? If I don’t resist, will he think I’m frivolous?" Xuan Yue’s heart raced with imagined scenarios, her cheeks turning as red as a ripe apple in an instant.

Just then, a slight pain on her finger snapped her out of her daydreams. When she looked up, Lu Yu had already placed a drop of her blood in the palm of his hand, and for some reason, a strong sense of loss suddenly surged through her.
"With this drop of blood, I’ll be able to find your sister. Follow me," Lu Yu said softly, then headed out of the hall without looking back.
Watching Lu Yu leave without a second glance, Xuan Yue stamped her foot and muttered under her breath, "He’s such a blockhead," and then quickly followed him.
The two left the Imperial Palace, crossed the bustling streets, and arrived at an old, abandoned mansion, which seemed familiar to Xuan Yue. It used to belong to an old courtier but had since been neglected.
Broken tiles, walls overgrown with wild grass that swayed in the wind - the scene seemed to mock the pair. The once majestic gate was now rotten, with tiny mushrooms growing on it.
"My sister is here?" Xuan Yue looked at the dilapidated mansion in disbelief.
She couldn’t imagine how anyone could live here; her sister was hidden in such a place?
Lu Yu merely glanced at her and said, "You can choose not to believe," and with that, he walked into the mansion. Stay connected with novelbuddy
