Jyera World Apocalypse-Chapter 49: Communication and Answers
Chapter 49: Communication and Answers
The Observer was anxious... The reason for this anxiety was that winter had already begun, and the survivors on the extermination list had disappeared again...
While the two targets from the capital of Jyera had never even been found... The only one whose current location was revealed was inside a bunker, and one of Tulliver’s men had been sent to infiltrate his hideout, but once again, they had failed in the task.
"This is the Observer, reporting from the city of Kaelor."
"Damn it! That fat Deputy Mayor tricked us again... After I handed over the many level 2 crystals he requested, he still refused to let me enter the bunker."
"Did he ask for anything else?"
"No. He simply deceived me, he never planned to let me in..."
"Alright, stay in the surroundings for now, and find people who might try to enter in your place... I suspect he’ll let someone in if the survivor is a woman..."
The Observer ended the call and this time contacted Tulliver’s other subordinate, who was in the capital of Jyera, Aethoria.
"This is the Observer, reporting from the city of Aethoria."
"As soon as the androids and I entered the area where the drones were destroyed... Something unusual happened... Just imagine the coincidence... We were attacked by military drones, and then by a group of mutant humans. I used my Universal Force and managed to survive by hiding, but the two androids were destroyed..."
"Did you manage to see who it was?"
"Yes, I’m sending you the images..."
"The AI has finished the reconnaissance. This person is Kaito Hattori, leader of the Hattori mafia and adopted brother of the target Oyibo. Have you collected any more information about him?
"In addition to using various technologies such as drones and some kind of advanced radar to always detect us, including our stealth drones, he is also already a level 3 mutant. I suspect that Oyibo is also one..."
"What about Detective Bennett? Have you found any clues about him?"
"I was very cautious, and I didn’t enter the police station, just observing from the outside, but I have already confirmed that all the police officers are also mutants... And Bennett is one of them..."
"Do you think you can eliminate any of them?"
"If a good opportunity arises in the open field, I think you can, but killing them inside the hotel or the police station is suicide... But I doubt that opportunity will arise... They are not coming out anymore because it has already started snowing."
"Let’s change the plan then, then we’ll—"
"Observer? What plan will be executed next?"
"Observer listening?"
"SHIT! All field operators, abort all plans, someone is broadcasting quantum messages to the entire Jyera solar system!"
The eyes of the Aethoria operator widened. This kind of message could be heard in every corner of the universe by anyone who was paying attention... And in this case, all the plans his race had for the Jyreans failed miserably...

The Operator stood up nervously after hearing the message from one of the survivors that they should have exterminated... He knew that the existence of some quantum transmitter was the end of the secrecy of the entire operation. He looked at the last two subordinates of Vice Admiral Tulliver who remained in the surveillance room and addressed them:
"We need to notify the Emperor immediately, with luck, we will be forgiven and just sent to some battlefield... After all, it is not our fault that there was a Temporal Anomaly..."
Tulliver’s two subordinates looked at each other and said together:
"Sure, go ahead..."
But as soon as the Observer turned around, the two advanced towards him. One of them choked the Observer from behind, preventing him from reaching the controls in time, while the other pierced his heart with a short dagger several times...
"Stab"
"Stab"
"Stab"
"Ugh"
The Observer began to choke on his blood, as he tried to free himself from the grip of the arm around his neck in vain... Even as the life left his eyes, he still did not understand why this had happened...
Throwing the Observer’s body to the ground, the one who had hanged him spat on his corpse as he spoke:
"How did someone so innocent become an Observer?"
"Did he think the Emperor would spare us for failing to kill targets from a lower world that had just awakened..."
"He wouldn’t have us all executed, some would be sent to Purgatory or someplace even worse as an example."
"I will contact the Second Prince, send messages to the other two to await further orders..."

This is the last chance, are you sure we will do this? Rick asked one last time with a small microphone in his hand, and everyone around him nodded...
Among the group of Level 3 humans at Pineview Base, only Joe was cautious about the message... He was afraid that their location would be discovered and some kind of missile would hit the base.
But Ethan confirmed that at least by tracking the signal, it wouldn’t be possible... Since all the transmitters they placed in SC12 were doing the work of re-sending the shortwave signal they were using now...
Receiving the final confirmation from everyone, Rick began:
(Hello, my name is Rick, and just like you, I am one of the survivors of Jyera... I am currently transmitting from the Gherian Continent... First of all, I ask that you do not respond to this message, since we are probably being heard by someone with bad intentions. I have some essential information so that all of you can survive this apocalypse...)
(The first one is about how to use the crystals that are inside zombies and monsters to strengthen yourself and become stronger...)
(The second piece of information is about the winter that is coming to Jyera and probably Jyor too, due to the blockage of sunlight. You still have about 30 days before it starts. Gather supplies and wood to keep warm during the worst part of the winter; this difficult period will last for a long time. last almost 1 year... During this time, only level 3 mutant humans should be able to walk outside; anyone who tries to do so will probably freeze in minutes... So only leave your hiding places if it is strictly necessary...)
(The third piece of information is about the end of winter, when this happens, the first level 3 mutant zombies will emerge. Do not try to fight these aberrations... Run away, find a new shelter, and try to share information about these monsters among the groups of survivors... Cooperation between humans is essential for us to survive... The powers and abilities of these monsters can vary, but the most dangerous are those with non-human traits such as...)
(And lastly, even though it is just a theory, I must still warn you... Somehow, I know about the future of the apocalypse, and I am sharing parts of this future with you, to the point of putting my group in danger...)
(Since the first day of the apocalypse, I ended up being the target of two assassination attempts in a row; one by drones and the other by a type of android of unknown origin... A surviving space engineer analyzed one of the drones and the android’s arm after the life-and-death battles I went through, and we were able to confirm that its material and technology were not originally from our species... I suspect that this apocalypse we are facing is not natural either...)
(For now, just be careful, and act cautiously with my last warning in mind. Stay safe, become stronger using the crystals, and survive!)
Even though he was already a powerful level 3 mutant, Rick had a few drops of sweat after finishing the message. But he wasn’t the only one, since Maya, Joe, Zhayra, and the others also had anxious expressions. And this intensified even more after someone replied to his message minutes later.
"Hello! Rick, are you there? My name is Anna, I’m an astronaut from the Jyera Space Station... I just confirmed, but besides me, only 1 person survived among the group of Colonization Astronauts..."
Rick and the others were stunned, but they were unsure of whether to respond. If someone heard them, it was feasible, since simple radios could pick up the additional AM waves transmitted by their antenna... But before they could respond, the astronaut’s voice came again.
"Don’t worry, this is a secure communication, I’m using a trick that involves solar radiation to distort my quantum signal... I was in Kaelor, and my friend Marco was also targeted by those same drones. And I can confirm that we are indeed under attack by an alien race..."
Rick looked at Ethan, who, after placing one hand on his chin and thinking for a few seconds, nodded back to him:
"What she said about the sun is true... And remember the stolen aircraft? It could have been her..."
And Rick finally answered the woman.
"Hello Anna, how did you survive and return to Jyera? And most importantly, how did you confirm that we are under attack?"
"It’s a long story, but to make a long story short, I stole one of the colony ships and hid it in a safe place until the pulse that destroyed our technology passed... Listen carefully, there were only 13 people who had memories of the apocalypse, and most of them have already been exterminated... There are only 6 left now. I’ve gathered a lot of clues, and my main theory is that time on Jyera regressed in some kind of Temporal Anomaly, and you and my friend remember what happened..."
Rick thought for a moment. He already suspected that time had gone back, but he chose not to say so in the message since it would be much less believable for people to believe...
"My thoughts exactly, but I chose not to say that in the message..."
"If my theory is correct, it has to do with something called the Universal Force. My friend was able to use this power, and that could be the reason he has memories even after time went back.... So there is a chance that whoever is attacking us already knows that time went back too... Be very careful, use a different name when transmitting other messages, and keep your face hidden at all times... I am going to Jyor now, the humans there desperately need help... If you have a way to travel safely, go to Kaelor and join forces with Marco."
"Yes, I also had a similar power... And that explains a lot... I won’t be able to go to Kaelor now, but I will try after the worst of the winter is over."
"Okay, I’m going to hang up now. Don’t try to send me messages. Wait for me to contact you safely..."
"Okay, stay safe, Anna!"
"You too, Rick!"
As soon as the call ended, Ethan was the first to speak:
"So it was her... I can confirm that the robbery happened a few minutes before everything started... She didn’t say in the message, but I think she hid the ship near the sun’s orbit or maybe in the depths of the sea..."
Maya, who was the smartest after Ethan, also nodded in confirmation.
"That’s true, I remember a theory like that, but she risked a lot by doing that. If the pulse still reached the ship, she would end up dead..."
"She would be dead if she had stayed on the Space Station, just like everyone else who was there," Rhayra stated.
"She seems like a good person, since she’s going to Jyor to help the humans there... Now let’s focus—"
"Rick, are you there? My name is Valentina Morales! I’m the Police Captain of Aethoria City!"
"Hey Rick! My name is Kaito. I destroyed some of those drones that tried to enter my territory... Are you sure something so weak is made by aliens?" novelbuddy-cσ๓
A woman’s voice full of pride, followed by a rather mocking man’s voice, interrupted Rick’s words... Two other survivors were contacting him...
