The sudden appearance of the two surprised those around, but soon everything went back to normal. Upon hearing this, A Hai immediately put down his backpack and ran to queue while telling Xu Huo, "You wait here; I can do it alone."

A passerby kindly pushed the wheelchair to the roadside, and Xu Huo waited there patiently.

"Reverence is enough," the woman said, "The Goddess is compassionate to all, and won’t demand money or other things from you. If you sincerely worship, as you leave the temple, the Goddess’s envoy will mark you. With this mark and the government’s stamp, you can proceed to the next city."

It sounded a bit contrived, but the two guessed it might be something like a government stamp, serving as proof that they had visited the temple.

"How troublesome, what kind of strange instance is this? I’ve never seen an instance you can’t even enter the place before!" the taller one complained.
