The following is a flashback from no more than a few weeks back, around the time Porcelain Doll and Corpse Doll were still settling into their new twin dynamic and were being given the time to poke around the library.

...

[Whoa...this is the Library of Nowhere? It's huge!]

[It's big!]

[It's...insane.]*2

Corpse Doll and Porcelain Doll were both enamored and floored by the sight of the giant library that was the home to every Kaijin Lord since time immemorial.

Through his subtle connection between the now twin protokaijin, he could tell that they were genuinely in awe of their surroundings.

As he watched the doll twins look around in awe and ask their senior kaijin questions about everything and nothing, Zhen Liu couldn't help but to bite back a critique in his mind.

Namely that, despite being twins, they were more like fraternal twins rather than actual twins. Then again, that could've been due to the fact that Porcelain Doll wasn't even his own creation. Hell, he was still trying to figure out how a cursed corpse puppet's opposite was a blessed porcelain puppet. It kind of made sense, but he still found it a little weird.

So much so that he posed a question to Logos and Pathos that he never thought about until now.

'Hey…is it at all possible to change a kaijin's physical attributes post-creation?' Zhen Liu asked. 'I mean, I know their formulas are basically locked because it's their soul, and aether arts are obviously easy to swap, but I don't think I ever asked about the whole material form situation.'

=Technically no,= Logos answered first. =The main material, once chosen, serves as the anchor in which a Kaijin needs to maintain their existence in creation. Without that anchor, they become unmoored and…well, you've seen the results.=

'Right…'

<However, like everything in the world, there are exceptions and ways to circumvent the rules,> Pathos piped up. <The more inventive amongst your predecessors figured out ways to physically change Kaijin as long as they were made of specific materials. Not all of these methods were translatable on a one-to-one basis, but there are a couple of [Chaos] treasures that could work. Like the ones made by the Rainbowsmith. Hell, the man had a method to further refine the core components of a kaijin so that they could draw out even more power.>

'Huh…well, isn't that a coincidence,' Zhen Liu commented as he remembered that the next destination for his merry band was going to be the Rainbowsmith's old domain of Rainbowden.

'Hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle to find…'

…Now back to the present…

Zhen Liu and Nepherage's coordinated strike had not only broken the barrier before them, but they had also burned away all of the sealing paper that was encasing the box before them.

This allowed the box to fully expose itself to Zhen Liu and the others, allowing everyone to see what was so damn special about it. Well, not that everyone could immediately pick up its value or function at a glance.

"All of this for an empty…wait a minute, the box isn't empty…what the fuck am I staring at?"

"It looks like a…case molding?"

"Whatever it is, I can at least feel all of the [Chaos] radiating off of it."

As for the main man himself, Zhen Liu was busy digesting all of the information that Logos and Pathos had pumped into his brain the moment he saw what he had secured.

And what new opportunities laid before him.

Name: [Casting Mold of Creation: i

Incomplete]

Type: [Chaos Treasure]

Ranking: [Gold Equivalent]

Description:

One of the core beliefs of the Rainbowsmith was that one could always improve themselves regardless of their origin or limitations. The key was to find the right way that was unique to them, or find the right environment. This [Chaos] treasure can temporarily create the space in which Kaijin can be created. However, due to the current state of the treasure only very minor changes can be performed at this time.

...

'Incomplete, huh? I wonder why,' Zhen Liu thought to himself as he transformed Nepherage back to her regular state.

Based on his own experience, this meant that the [Chaos] treasure before him was either purposefully left incomplete because the previous owner/creator couldn't figure out what he was missing, or it had been damaged at some point in the past that led to its current state.

Either way, it wouldn't really matter unless Zhen Liu could get the box back to the library for analysis.

"Hey, I'm going to open a door back to the library. Can someone help me move this box?" Zhen Liu called out to his allies before he moved in to collect his prize.

"Aren't you crazy strong? Why do you need our help?" Zhen Xing asked as he walked over to assist.

"Do you see how wide it is?"

"Fair point."

Both Zhen Liu and his cousin were mostly expecting the casting mold to either be stuck on the ground in a supernatural manner or heavier than it looked.

There had been many recorded cases in the past of aether warriors finding all sorts of treasures in wandering ruins in very obvious places, only to get screwed over because of the treasure in question being significantly heavier than anticipated. Thankfully, that wasn't the case this time around.

The casting mold was actually fairly light, and Zhen Liu and his cousin were able to very easily move it into the doorway to the Library of Nowhere.

Once it was inside, Logos and Pathos immediately summoned some zakos to help move the mold to a more appropriate location.

=It's going to take some time for us to install the mold and make sure everything is up and running.=

<In the meantime, go back and go deal with the aftermath of well...you know what I'm talking about.>

"Right..."

...

At this moment, the Redoxa Family was now beyond fucked.

Their patriarchs, both past and present were now incredibly dead.

Their holdings on the surface had basically been wrecked because of collateral damage between warriors much powerful than themselves.

And now, their treasure vault had been looted after most, if not all, of their warriors has been thoroughly defeated post-parasitic infection.

The survivors of the Redoxa Family now had no choice but to remain tied up like hogs as their captors decided their ultimate fate.

Many of them expected death, some had hoped for being spared, while others gave up on trying to predict their fates entirely.

Thankfully, they didn't have to wait too much longer.

"Alright, let's see what should be done about you lot..."

As the captured remnants of the Redoxa Family sat and wondered what their ultimate fate was to be, they were eventually joined by the warrior who had torn their previous leaders to pieces in the first place.

The young warrior didn't look that intimidating at a first glance, but perhaps that was the point.

It was often that the most dangerous beasts in the world, were the ones that looked the most innocuous.

"Okay, from the looks of it, I'm assuming that in the line of succession, that you're probably the one who is in charge now?"

The young man crouched down in front of an older gentleman that actually was supposed to be third in line.

This old man was known as Albert Redoxa, and he was originally the enforcement elder of the family.

Of course, such a title was probably meaningless given the current state of things.

Regardless, the old warrior still had his pride and sat a little straighter as the young warrior began to address him.

"What do you want?" Albert asked, knowing that they weren't exactly in a position to bargain.

"So...I'm going to be honest, I only came here to try and exchange some of the guys we captured from y'all earlier for a ransom," the young warrior answered while gesturing towards Convad, Convad's entourage, and the Calamity Triplets.

"So us being here and saving y'all from a parasite gone rogue was kind of a complete coincidence."

"...what?"

At this moment, the remnants of the Redoxa Family had no idea what to feel about this revelation.

Humiliation?

Bewilderment?

This was a...very strange moment.

"Either way, now that all of this has been settled and my friends and I have already taken anything we considered personally worth a damn, I see no reason to keep y'all tied up like this," the young man said with a strangely pleasant tone of voice. "And before you ask, no I'm not going to kill you all and bury you all here in your own treasure vault."

"Okay..."

If they weren't going to be killed...then what the fuck was going to happen to them?

"However, before I cut you all loose and let you be on your merry ways, you should probably know that I have burned all of your previous 'promises' and contracts, so y'all will be starting from zero. Have fun!"

"I...wait, what?!"
