Kami-Jutsu: The Yakuza's Son is Aware-Chapter 28: Are Humans Really this Weak?
A wide smile forced itself on my face.
"Thank you, Ferry." I rose from the bed. "I have already gotten all the answers I needed."
"Najimi, I’m warning you," Ferry said with narrowed eyes. "Don’t try anything reckless. It could blow up in your face... and Ken would be sad."
I turned my head over my shoulder toward him. "Ferry, speak of this to no one, especially Onii-sama. Are we clear?"
"Sorry desu! No can do," he said quickly, clasping his paws together. "I can’t — or rather, I refuse to — keep secrets from my Master."
I smiled faintly and turned to face him fully. "Ferry, you will keep this a secret between us. And you will also stay out of my way."
The wolf gave a low snicker, his red eyes faintly glowing. "And if I don’t? You’ll tell your father that I can talk? Please. I could easily have Ken sabotage that plan. I know you’re like a doll in his hands — if he told you to retract your claims, you’d do it in a heartbeat."
"Ah, what a smart dog."
"I’m not a dog?!"
"It’s a relief to find such an intelligent divine servant under Onii-sama. But you’ve overlooked something, Ferry-san..."
"Hm? And what’s that?"
"I know that you pushed Onii-sama into undressing me... because you wanted to look at my naked body as well."
He flinched, quickly looking away and whistling. "I-I-I don’t know what you’re talking about!"
"I also know that you looked under my skirt," I continued, my expression softening as a single tear slid down my cheek. "If I could prove to Onii-sama that you’re a sick pervert with a bad influence on him, I’m sure he would take it very seriously."
"Ah! That’s unfair!" he protested. "I had no choice but to look! I’m innocent!"
"Onii-sama is quite naïve and pure, you know," I said with a low chuckle. "Now, who do you think he would believe — a pet that only arrived yesterday, or his own sister, when I tell him you pounced on me out of base, animalistic desire?"
"Fine, fine, fine!" Ferry threw himself onto the bed in frustration. "You’re just making everything awkward for no reason! Okay, I won’t tell Ken about our meeting today... but promise me you won’t do anything dangerous, alright?"
"I’m sorry, I can’t make that promise."
"Why?! Are you planning to murder someone and experiment on them?!"
"I will no longer respond to your accusations, Ferry-san," I said as I walked out and closed Onii-sama’s door behind me.
...Now I simply need to refine my mastery over Kamijutsu.
Lately, I’ve begun to see faint traces of it with my own eyes.
Even in school, I’ve been tripping teachers and other people I dislike without physically touching them. I even beat up a group of overachievers the other day without coming within ten meters of them.
My precision is steadily improving...
All that remains are a few final adjustments — and Mai’s vessel.

Four months passed once again.
I now found myself standing inside a dimly lit bar. The air smelled faintly of alcohol and sweat, and the faint hum of a flickering light buzzed overhead.
The receptionist stood frozen behind the counter, trembling violently as she pleaded for her life. All around us, about twenty-four men lay sprawled unconscious across tables and the floor, groaning faintly or completely still.
I had been forced to restrain myself far more than I liked. If I had gone even a little further, the floor would have been slick with blood by now.
"Are humans really this weak?" I murmured under my breath before turning away and leaving.
The hood of Onii-sama’s oversized hoodie hung low over my face, concealing my features completely. No one here would remember me.
From there, I walked straight home. It was already nine o’clock at night. Onii-sama had gone out again, as he often did.
"Ugh, when is he going to introduce the girl to us?" The Witch complained to Father, her voice sharp with irritation. "I’m starting to suspect it’s not even a girlfriend at all, but some sort of bad influence."
I greeted them absently and kept walking. She continued to scold me about something, but her words slid right past me.
I entered my room and sat down to wait for Mai.
Tonight was the night.
When she finally walked in, she wore her usual short maid outfit, her cheeks flushed pink as she stepped toward me.
"O... Ojou! You called me all of a sudden..." she squeaked, almost tripping over her own words.
I wrapped my arms around her and leaned close to whisper in her ear. "Do you trust me?"
She immediately returned the embrace, holding me tightly. "Y-you know I do, Ojou..."
"Then..." I stepped back a few feet, my gaze fixed on hers, "Will you die for me, but promise... you’ll come right back to life?"
