Khalifa: Queen in the Apocalypse-Chapter 191: Leaving Peace Base
The group managed to prepare everything within a few hours, with particular ease on food and resources.
Granted, there weren’t a lot, and most of their supplies were in Khalifa’s magic space. There was also the fact that they would still be stopping by the capitol base.
The party consisted of Khalifa and her men as well as the soldiers originally from the capitol base.
Sometime while they were packing up on the cars, Hugo found his way behind Khalifa and pulled her back to him.
"The helicopter can take 6 people," Hugo said with a smug face, whispering on the side of her face. "Other than Joel and Yoyo and our stuff then the two of us can go."
Kylo’s team wasn’t small, not to mention the weapons, machineries, and resources (mostly loot from the previous mission) they had to take with them. Naturally, they’d have to take the land route.
Khalifa turned her head to him and he smiled, leaning down to peck her lips.
"Let’s just meet them in the Capitol."
"Oh you…" Khalifa said and pinched his cheek. "It’s not like we can do anything if they’re not there."
Hugo’s eyes flashed and he leaned down and licked her ear. "My love, there are so many things we can do without them."
The men felt complicated. They wanted Khalifa to be most comfortable, which would mean taking the helicopter, but at the same time they didn’t want her being hogged by the gangster!
It was around this time that the general cleared his throat to get their attention.
They saw him and their stances straightened. Well, most of them. Hugo refused to let go of Khalifa’s waist.
"I’m sorry to ask you of this, but you know we don’t have our own helicopters yet," the Peace Base was an abandoned barracks area after all.
"You see, if possible, we’d like to borrow the helicopter for a day. It should be able to get back to the capitol by the time you get there."
Hugo looked at him and frowned, "Why?"
"We’ve received news that a zombie mob was migrating to the mission area. We hope to gather the remaining equipment from the hospital and the armory. The helicopter will be a big help."
Hugo stared at him, really not wanting to.
The general looked at them and turned to his side. A few of his soldiers were holding large boxes. On cue, they opened them one by one, revealing that each was filled with crystals. Thousands of them.
Khalifa sparked and she whipped her head to Hugo, with her eyes shining bright.
Crystals! Would her space expand with this?
Looking at her so excited, how could Hugo bear to disappoint her???
"Fine!" Hugo said with gritted teeth.
Khalifa kissed his cheek, and suddenly he wasn’t so bitter anymore.

"Wait!"
Before Khalifa could climb up the car, a voice sounded behind them.
It was a middle-aged woman trying to get a hold of them. Khalifa realized it as the woman she rescued, Joana.
Her face softened as she waited for the woman to get to her. Khalifa heard that Joana managed to get a cleaner’s job, which had opened as the territory’s development expanded.
Panting a bit, Joana gave her a bright smile, taking out something from her bag. "Thank you so much, for everything."
She gave her a box of food. Khalifa had too much of these, but she knew this was all of the woman’s wealth.
So she did not reject it, as that would disrespect the woman’s feelings.
"Thank you."

Not far away, Mira and Hilten watched the party get in the cars one by one.
Both were in a dire mood though. Both frowning and Mira’s hands with large embarrassing mitts.
However, Mira’s face was still clean so it could be said that their self-discipline was still very good.
Well, this was too polite. Last night she screamed like hell while Mira screamed in pain of excessive itch.
It didn’t take long for him to lose his patience, and he snapped at her.
"SHUT UP!" He had said, "I swear if you scratch yourself I’ll throw you out!"
She could only sob and restrain herself, having to cover her hands.
It would’ve been fine if someone was doing tasks for her, like feeding her, but there was none.
She had to eat like a dog.
It was below Hilten to feed her, and she had to coax him to get her a maid of sorts.
He did get her a maid, but she fed him right after he fucked the woman. Now, not only did she have to endure the insane itch, she had to endure them having sex everywhere in the house as well!
Mira looked at the party, her heart knowing too many things had changed. After the rudeness of last night, she had too many reasons to question her choices.
She only knew that some time, Hilten would move to the capitol and gain a position there.
When should this be happening? What’s taking so long?
Her hope wouldn’t be so easy to achieve, however.
What actually happened was that, in the previous timeline, Hilten succeeded in killing the General, thinking he could gain the helm.
Sadly, Ryo activated the electric element and gained a huge following, winning the position in the end.
Hilten was naturally not reconciled. So, after months of planning, he rebelled and failed. He barely survived and went to the capitol to meet his mentor.
In the book, only a rough image was mentioned, and in Mira’s memories, she was not privy to these at all.
Hilten’s eyes stayed on Khalifa and watched as she was escorted into a van, holding hands with one of her men.
When they were out of sight, he suddenly turned, going in a direction.
Mira flinched as she looked at him. "Where are you going?"
"To the hospital."

The group traveled in a heavily outfitted van along with the team that came with Kylo from the Capitol. Of course, they had the armory equipment and other resources with them.
Khalifa and her team occupied a van, and they took advantage of the travel time to catch up, though not while having two or three people throwing their abilities to mobs they encountered.
At this time, Kylo, Jacob, and Cauis were assigned to help clean the road, so the rest took this time to chat.
Hugo told the status of his mountain base. He appeared nonchalant, but the smug smile on his face told him how proud he was.
Jojo, the perfect Wingman, was very excited, "It’s amazing! It has everything their group needs—it has farms, water, electricity, and other things. And it’s hidden so we didn’t encounter any mobs nearby at all!"
Khalifa smiled, "That’s great!"
Hugo saw this as a sign. He leaned over so his face was only an inch away from Khalifa’s. "We can move there after—"
"We’re plenty prepared thanks," Kaize answered for her, wrapping his arms around her stomach to pull her to him instead. "We got all that and more: it’s an island, we don’t have to hide away like moles."
Hugo sneered, "Do you have plasma guns?"
Kaize looked at him in aghast and confusion, "What? You’re not planning on giving?"
"What? That’s not what I meant—"
Khalifa sighed and cut the topic off before it turned to another long banter.
"Alright, both bases are great, and neither are less important than the other." She said this with a very authoritative tone.
Very sexy.
"Yes, my queen." Kaize said, kissing her forehead.

Khalifa gave him a blank look. "You’re taking this too seriously."
"But you are our queen," Kaize chuckled, kissing her cheek. "And we’re your willing subjects?"
Khalifa rolled her eyes and ignored him...
...but none of the men disagreed one bit.
