Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power-Chapter 86: Little Rory
Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Little Rory
Chapter 86 – Little Rory
Two Legendary rank Evolution Stones, one rare rank Evolution Stone, a Legendary rank Space Ring, 2,000 gold coins, an Origin Core of a Unique-type beast... and not to forget—an entire dungeon with a strange beast inside.
As he thought about all this, Kaden truly couldn’t help but whistle in joy.
"What a beautiful day," Kaden said, smiling beautifully.
He was genuinely happy. He hadn’t expected to gain this much from a single dungeon run.
But aside from the material rewards, what he gained through his many deaths was just as—if not more—valuable.
He had surpassed the stat limit of two more attributes, obtained a unique will based trait, discovered key information about a hidden dungeon, and even absorbed a fragment of a mysterious bloodline.
All of this only confirmed something that Kaden already believed. Something he had always known but had never felt so deeply... until now.
Death—was the only true path to strength.
"There is nothing else for me. I need nothing else besides endless deaths and endless quests."
"The more I die, the more fragments I obtain. And with my Synthesis trait, I can fuse them all—turn them into something greater."
He spoke with conviction, sitting cross-legged atop the very coffin he had plundered.
"How many Death Coins do I have left?" he asked calmly.
[2,000.]
’So I’ve spent 1,500 coins. Not bad.’
’Death’s becoming really profitable at this point.’
Kaden couldn’t help but smirk inwardly at the thought. Then, he focused again on what came next.
And truthfully, it was obvious.
The Evolution Quest.
It was time to evolve and return home.
But before that... how exactly did the Evolution Quest work?
The process was simple, once you obtained an Evolution Stone, you had to drop your blood onto it. That single drop would trigger the quest. A personal, customized trial chosen by the stone—one based entirely on your history, your potential, and your nature.
If you passed... you evolved.
If you failed... you remained at your current rank forever. No second chance. No retries. No mercy.
That was why people prepared obsessively before taking an Evolution Quest—because failure could cost them everything.
The Evolution Stone chose the best path for your growth—one that reflected who you were and what you had done.
Even someone with a Common-rank origin, if insane enough to risk it, could evolve into something far stronger if they survived the path the stone gave them.
And that begged the question:
"What will my Evolution Quest be?" Kaden wondered quietly.
’What kind of challenge awaits someone who hasn’t stopped dying since the day he awakened?’
He truly couldn’t wait to find out.
With that anticipation thrumming in his veins, Kaden pulled out the three Evolution Stones from his space ring.
"The more unique the evolution quest, the better the rewards," he whispered to himself. "And it’s only possible with high-ranked stones... so let’s do it."
He activated his trait.
"Synthesis."
The goal was simple, combine and enhance the quality of the stone.
Instantly, the three Evolution Stones were enveloped in a pristine white light.
Each glowed intensely, and as their radiance began to pulse and twist, the light slowly gathered—merging, intertwining—until it all fused into one.
The glow became nearly blinding.
The mana in the space rippled violently, forming gusts of wild, uncontrolled energy. The entire white realm trembled.
But Kaden didn’t move.
He simply watched, his expression a mix of curiosity... and mild anxiety.
’Please... be Mythic rank,’ he begged silently.
He didn’t know if two Legendary stones would be enough—but he hoped they were.
Eventually, the white light receded.
And in its place... floated a small stone.
Its shape hadn’t changed much. It looked almost identical.
But the aura it gave off was far more dense. Far more powerful. There was an unmistakable weight to it now, a pressure let’s say.
Kaden slowly reached out and took it into his hand.
’What’s the rank of this?’ he asked inwardly.
[Legendary+ Rank.] Death replied.
Kaden’s lips twitched in irritation.
’Ah... damn it.’ He cursed mentally.
He expected this. After all, the gap between Legendary and Mythic was massive. But still... it stung.
"If only someone could kill me again so I could rewind time and take that Legendary Evolution Stone back," he muttered dryly.
But he knew better.
The beast outside wouldn’t budge.
And the cost to rewind time to this moment would be way too high if he does that later.
So in the end—
"I guess it’ll have to do. Be positive, Kaden. Most people would kill just for a Unique-ranked stone—let alone a Legendary+, and here I am whining."
"Be grateful." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
He exhaled.
He repeated those words a few times to re-center himself.
Then, once his mood stabilized, he finally left the white realm.
And the moment he stepped outside...
A voice echoed softly in his head.
Feminine, awkward and childish. As if the being wasn’t used to speaking at all.
’M-Master... are you back now?’
Kaden froze.
He didn’t even need to guess whose voice that was.
It was the very beast he was currently standing on.
Little Rory.
’So this damn beast knew all along...’ he thought, sighing inwardly. ’Tsk. Let’s just forget about it. I’ve gained so much because of her, at least I can be polite.’
Suddenly, Kaden smiled.
It was warm and bright. A smile overflowing with compassion, affection, and joy.
"Little Rory! I missed you so much!" he said dramatically, filled with unnatural cheer.
’Urgh...fucking hell. This is too awkward and bothersome...’
But—
’Master!! I missed you too!’ Little Rory’s voice echoed with genuine excitement.
In an instant, her enormous beast form vanished.
Kaden now stood mid-air, and he instinctively turned toward a faint ripple in the air—his True Sight kicking in on its own.
And there she was.
A girl, no older than twelve with beastlike in appearance.
Her moss-colored hair flowed like wind-tossed leaves, even though there was no breeze around them. Her eyes shimmered constantly, like a chameleon’s—colors shifting, reflecting the world around her.
Her skin was pale, but faint scale-like patterns traced her collarbones and hands. And if you stared too long... her outline flickered. Like she was only half-there, half-illusion.
It was... mesmerizing.
Kaden’s eyes narrowed slightly as he watched her.
’She looks like she might vanish the moment I blink...’
He smirked.
"Your illusion power has improved greatly, Little Rory," Kaden said, trying to mimic Hael’s tone—but it wasn’t exactly easy.
Little Rory giggled, childlike and pure.
Then she vanished again only to reappear directly in front of Kaden and hug him tightly without warning.
"I was so lonely, Master!" she said, her voice soft and playful.
Kaden was stunned by this sudden closeness.
He blinked.
Then awkwardly... patted her back and returned the hug.
"...Yes... I’m sorry for leaving you alone," he said quietly.
She clung even tighter.
Kaden sighed internally.
’I didn’t sign up for this, I swear...’
