King's Rule: Creating the Strongest Kingdom With My Broken Talent-Chapter 24: Sword Emperor, Good News, Roaming the Crosshawk Capital
Kayan’s eyes moved rapidly, glinting as he struggled to follow their movements even after enhancing his vision with Mana. ’Who is it? Who is fighting Lord Vesh?’
He couldn’t see the other party’s face clearly because of their speed, but as soon as he adapted and managed to catch a clear glimpse, he was shocked.
The other party looked like Lord Vesh himself, except it had a slightly different armor and a strange crown floating above his head.
’Wait...The sparks are only coming from Lord Vesh’s suit. He isn’t able to land attack on the enemy.’
Suddenly, Vesh’s suit vibrated as electricity briefly flickered, then he vanished, appearing behind the Kingly Phantom. His sword glowed as he swung it thirty-seven times in the air within one second, each swing connecting, and instantly condensing into thirty-seven beams of extreme destruction made from Lightning, Darkness, Fire, and Wind.
There was something in this move that linked the swings together and manifested them into thirty-seven beams that took the form of a giant dragon head with an open maw and sizzling neon teeth that bit at the Kingly Phantom at point-blank range. There was no dodging this move because it encompassed a 10 meter radius.
BOOOM!
However, the Kingly Phantom had somehow appeared behind Vesh and slashed.
But instead of sparks from his armour, Vesh’s body melted away into smoke like the explosion of his Dragon Maw Blaster Slash. This was one of the perks of having developed an elemental mastery talent to full S-rank potential.
An S-rank element talent at its full potential, allows people’s body to turn elemental from physical at the cost of Mana or life force itself.
Zzzzip!
Vesh appeared above the Kingly Phantom while his sword turned into bright violet neon threads with golden patterns.
Sword Form: Sword Threads!
Each of the thousand threads acted like a sharp blade with ultra-high vibration of condensed plasma made using light, lightning, fire, and wind.
This form had two ultra advantages. Ultra Pierce and Ultra Speed.
Kingly Phantom looked at Vesh, his eyes boring into his with a mocking smile.
The sword in the phantom’s hand didn’t melt, but flattened into a strange square sword, made of strange mirror-type glass.
As the sword threads went to pierce the Kingly Phantom, they were met by the large square mirror sword, if it could be called that.
The result? The sword threads failed to pierce the strange mirror sword and were instead reflected randomly.
One came right at Vesh’s head after deflecting, which he dodged without batting an eye.
He didn’t know what level he had reached, but exotic sword techniques that made use of Mana and elements were pouring out of his mind, and this kingly phantom was increasing his arsenal of powers beyond what he had imagined.
But Vesh didn’t know all that.
He was no longer focused.
He was absorbed.
In the next hour, Rovina and Arga were also done.
After a minute, they stood next to Kayan, gawking upward without blinking.
"You must be wondering why they are so fast, right? Hehe, I figured it out." Kayan grinned. "I think Lord Vesh created that badass suit that isn’t just for protection, but to boost his physical parameters, and keep his body intact and safe while executing high-speed action."
"This...His sword mastery is something far beyond my knowledge now." Arga muttered.
After half an hour, Viana opened her eyes as she reached 10,000 Sprout Force.
And above, the Kingly Phantom vanished.
Vesh finished his action as a cross slash projectile with an exotic array of micro-blades within their structures shot forward, but there was no one to meet that attack, and it struck the bubble and tore it apart.
Vesh blinked. ’Shit.’
The projectile was about to continue, but Vesh quickly dispersed it lest it land below somewhere in the Crosshawk Kingdom.
[King’s Rule Executed.]
[Congratulations. Your C-rank talent Swordsman has evolved to SS-rank Sword Emperor.]
[Sword Emperor | SS-rank | Potential: 51✧/75✧]
"Damn. I really went all out in blooming my potential with this one." Vesh was dumbfounded. He looked at his combat power and laughed out loud.
To think it would make that much of a difference.
[Combat Power: 1,719,377]
An increase of over 800k!
But Vesh knew it was not just because of being the word King.
To elevate his sword talent further, he had inadvertently created a crazy suit using the Wheel of Elements.
And...it had turned into a blueprint. An S-rank Blueprint.
’Holy crap. I think I know what my army will wear.’ Vesh grinned. ’Different versions of Body Armor Suits!’
[Your King’s Rule has reached SS-rank potential. You may now use it on beings who have 100% loyalty towards you.]
’Oho? Finally.’ Vesh’s eyes brightened.
Looking below, he saw Kayan, Arga, and Rovina looking at him and grinned at them. "Guess everyone’s ready now."
"..."
Ready?
Ready for what? War?! Because their Lord Vesh certainly was!
Vesh descended and grinned. "Want some good news?"
Viana also just arrived next to the trio and heard Vesh. "Good news?"
"Yep. Good news." Vesh looked at Kayan and snapped his finger. "King’s Rule. Kayan, Arga, Rovina, and Viana clapped ten times."
[King’s Rule Created]
[Difficulty: E]
In the next second, the four of them felt a slight jolt in their bodies before their hands moved and began clapping.
A round of applause rang out, to which Vesh responded with a gentleman’s bow and announced. "Now I can use King’s Rule on beings who have 100% loyalty towards me."
Hearing that, everyone didn’t have a particular reaction, but instead had something more powerful. A feeling.
A feeling of utter overwhelmingness.
Taking a breath, Kayan straightened his face. "So, when are we starting our world domination?"
...
The streets of Crosshawk Kingdom’s capital were laid with brown bricks and some sort of cement, and everything was made of various craftsmanship and forging of different woods and common ores like natural rocks.
The houses, shops, and most of the buildings followed a common theme of wooden frames, various stone foundations and fillings, though a few looked special.
The most special was the pointed by out by Viana as they passed by. It was also the big, taking upto 3000 meters square of space, and shaped like a large rectangular hall with a slightly raised central section. The building stretched wide across its plot rather than rising very tall, standing about three stories high, but its massive footprint made it dominate the street. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"That building is the most special one here. Its territory isn’t considered part of Kingdom’s territory, but if any kingdom wishes to boost their reach, trade, and overall economy, that building is a must, so all kingdoms allow them. It belongs to the strongest organisation in the world. The Adventurer’s Guild."
"We can register there. In fact, we should, as it’s very useful." Viana smiled and added. "I am also an Adventurer, though I am merely a Bronze-rank one. But it will change soon, I suppose~."
"Adventurer’s Guild?" Vesh’s eyes glinted as he grinned. "That sounds fun."
[You have found a branch of the Adventurer’s Guild. You may register there and rise through the ranks of Adventurers to gain parallel benefits and various opportunities.]
[Side-Quest: Adventurer]
<Objective>
—> Enter any Adventurer’s Guild Branch and register as an Adventurer.
<Reward>
—> C-rank Weapon.
"So are we going to register there now or later?" Arga asked.
"Meh, we’ll do it later." Vesh turned his head towards the lively lights of the town. "Let’s try some food first. "I want to taste all the delicacies this world has to offer. In my past life, I had to eat extremely bland stuff every day in perfect amounts according to my schedule to maintain my energy to work and live. Even after arriving here, I am eating Arga’s cooking. No offence. It’s just we mainly don’t have a variety of ingredients, or I could use King’s Rule to make something."
"In the first place, I don’t want to be able to do everything and make myself busy all the time. I’m done with that." Vesh grinned. "I’ll cook limitlessly, but not the actual food. So the five of us will order five foods we’re interested in from each place, and taste everything this place has to offer."
"Of course, as long as it’s hygienic and clean."
Everyone chuckled.
"One thing my body remembers is eating good food whenever I eat food here." Rovina ruefully smiled. "Unfortunately, I don’t have skills in cooking. I think I never did it in my life, and someone else did the cooking for me and fed me..."
’With love.’
A sense of loss gnawed at her like a shadow of a person she felt was extremely close to her.
But shaking it away, Rovina added. "Let’s go eat some delicious stuff."
"Grrr..." Kayan’s stomach rumbled, and he grumbled. "What? Y’all talking about food, so I got hungry."
"Haha, kiddo is hungry. It’s time to eat." Arga laughed and ruffled Kayan’s head.
"You!" Kayan clenched his jaw at Arga ruffling his head, but he bore with it with a red face as the group followed the wafting smells from the night food and entertainment district.
