King's Rule: Creating the Strongest Kingdom With My Broken Talent-Chapter 32: Time To Cook
Vesh created a small floating platform and weaved two throne-like sofas facing each other.
After he sat down, he looked at the Guild Master of the Adventurer’s Guild branch here.
The intent was clear and plain.
Come, let’s talk business.
Guild Master Risha faintly smiled and vanished from her position physically.
Vesh’s eyes moved. ’Turning into wind, eh? So that’s at least an S-rank Wind Mastery.’
’But not bad at all. She is strong.’
[Combat Power: 11,433,400]
She was a bona fide Stem-rank powerhouse, possessing the Step in her Life Nexus with A-rank Mana.
Still far weaker than Vesh.
And she knew it.
Arriving on the platform, she gracefully sat down and smiled. "Would you show me your face, or shall we continue this way?"
"As you must know, one’s identity is very important," Vesh answered. "Given the ambitions the Ananta Kingdom has, no one will see the faces of the King or his executives like me. But we will always be in suits that demand attention while generating dread."
Guild Master Risha blinked. "If you don’t show your faces, the lives of the people you are going to change will never know you. They won’t know who to thank."
Vesh laughed. "Of course, they would know. They would thank the King they had never seen, and most importantly, they would thank the Ananta Kingdom. The King of Ananta doesn’t care about fame or personal prestige as long as the people under the banner of Ananta continue to prosper through the ages."
Guild Master Risha smiled. "Such ideals are great. But you know that there are people who don’t want peace and prosperity, but destruction and chaos?"
"Oh, I know." Vesh casually waved his hand. "Before coming here, we destroyed one such base of those people calling themselves the Cult of Great Tenebrous Light."
"What?" Guild Master Risha was surprised. "So you killed their Stem-rank branch leader? He has a big bounty on his head from the mainland since he once sacrificed an entire town using a large formation, killing over a hundred thousand people."
Vesh was shocked, though he didn’t show it outwardly.
"I didn’t see or sense any Stem-rank powerhouse there, so he is still alive."
Guild Master Risha frowned. "That’s bad. Once he finds out that the branch is destroyed, he might take some extreme steps. He might have gone to another kingdom to build a second branch, since there was only one branch of theirs hidden somewhere until you destroyed that one."
Vesh’s eyes glinted coldly.
"In that case, we will direct his and others’ extreme steps at once." Vesh’s voice turned sharp. "You have a branch in every city, right?"
"Yes, though big branches like this are only in the capital of each kingdom." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"Very good." Vesh grinned behind the helm. "Then spread the news that an A-rank Magic Vein has been found."
"What?" Guild Master Risha was startled. "I can spread the news, but people might not believe it. Though they might still send people to check whether it’s fake or real."
"It is real." Vesh looked up and raised his hand, pointing his index finger upward.
An exotically thin silver-blue circle spread out from his fingertip.
It expanded to a radius of one hundred meters, covering a large area.
’What is that?’ Risha observed the magic of the circle, but she couldn’t make sense of it except that it was formed with Light, Water, and Fire attributes.
’Such terrifying mastery of Mana and elements... who exactly is he? How powerful is he?’ Guild Master Risha was intensely curious, as she couldn’t gauge his aura.
But one thing was certain.
The magic reading of his technique carried the qualitative essence of A-rank energy.
So there was a high chance, in her mind, that he was also a Stem-rank.
’I am at Stem-rank as well, but the difference feels quite large. What kind of talents does he have?’
Suddenly, she felt a powerful surge of energy coming out of Vesh, and her eyes lifted up to see as the circle brightened.
SWOOOOOOSH!
In the next moment, a pillar of silver-blue light, one hundred meters in radius, shot upward, tearing through air and clouds alike as it pierced over a thousand kilometers into the sky.
Far to the north, a mountain adorned with structures that made it appear like it wore colorful jewels stood tall.
A vast city sprawled at its base, easily housing several million people.
Aurora Kingdom.
"What is that?" the King muttered as he saw the pillar of light in the distance, stretching so high that its end could not be seen. He was a slim, beardless man in his forties with shoulder-length dark crimson hair that matched his eyes.
Beside him, an old man blinked in confusion, stroking his long white beard as he tried to understand it. "Maybe a high-quality natural treasure awakened?"
In another direction, a large kingdom filled with highly geometric structures stretched across the land, with a desert to its east, a vast forest and river to its west, and an ocean far to the south.
The people of this kingdom consisted of both humans and beastfolk of various kinds.
It was the largest kingdom in this sideland in terms of both population and territory.
Howling Star Kingdom.
Similarly, there was the Asterisk Dynasty in the south, dominating most of that region.
And in the west was the Talzon Kingdom, consisting entirely of two kinds of elves: High Elves and Serving Elves.
The Talzon Kingdom had an extreme ideology. Among the four major kingdoms in this sideland, it was the fastest-growing and the most aggressive.
And in the middle were two newly rising kingdoms.
One was the Beast Kingdom of Harven.
And the other was the Ananta Kingdom of Vesh.
With this single act of launching a massive pillar of light, Vesh had informed everyone that something extraordinary had appeared.
Combined with the news spread by Guild Master Risha, he was expecting a grand gathering.
"Now, if you spread the news, they should respond pretty quickly, right?" Vesh asked, amusement clear in his voice. "Add that the Ananta Kingdom has occupied the A-rank Magic Vein and has issued a warning. If anyone dares to covet what belongs to them, Ananta Kingdom will devour them entirely, including their people and their kingdom."
"W-What..." Guild Master Risha was momentarily speechless.
Her first thought was... is this man suicidal?
But then she remembered the overwhelming power and confidence radiating from him and chose to nod.
"I would like to ask why you are inviting so many dangerous parties like this, but..." Risha smiled. "I suppose I will find out on my own."
"Absolutely. Now, the Ananta Kingdom needs to get busy preparing for many things, so I’ll take my leave. You may approach the top floor of the tower for any important matters, such as incoming parties from other kingdoms."
Vesh stretched his hand, showing an empty palm at first, but as he continued speaking, something appeared.
"Here’s a small gift for our first meeting, and a token toward an amicable, cooperative relationship with the Adventurer’s Guild."
Guild Master Risha looked at the luxurious wooden box with a golden frame and blue gemstone patterns that appeared on Vesh’s palm.
It opened automatically, revealing its contents.
Inside was an alien cube made of grey-black material, with micro-moving patterns as if the particles themselves were alive.
"What is this?" Guild Master Risha raised her eyebrows, unable to understand it, as her sensory techniques couldn’t penetrate the cube.
"Touch it, and it will recognize you, making it so only you can wield it." Vesh stood up as the box floated toward her.
"It is something good. As for how good it is, you’ll have to find out yourself. I want to learn more about the Adventurer’s Guild, but I must prepare for now. I hope you’ll spread the news efficiently."
Guild Master Risha smiled. "Since you’ve put it that way, what can I say? One of our rules is to cooperate with the host nation as long as it doesn’t conflict with our codes."
"That’s good to hear."
At that, Vesh flew upward.
’Oh boy, I’ve taken a lot onto my plate.’ Vesh grinned. ’Can’t wait to cook it to perfection and devour it all.’
’Let’s call this Project 10. Apt for a plan to conquer this sideland in ten days.’
