"No!, let me go!" Chen Yi tried to run away. But again, she was easily captured by Li Luxian, He grabbed her arm firmly and put his other arm behind her waist to keep her in place.

"Quit it! You are being childish. Chen Yi, I'm telling you to give in now. You can't fight me." Li Luxian had his arms around her. His eyes flashed with something dark.

"No. We must do it today." Li Luxian voice was firm and unnegotiable.

Chen Yi knew she couldn't fight him alone. "Help! someone help!" In desperation, she cried while continuing her struggles to get loose from his iron grip.

"There is no one here sweetheart and even if there was, he wouldn't dare to stop me." Li Luxian chuckled darkly. To see her struggling like that; it was relishing. Like a feisty cat, she tried to get free. But Li Luxian would never let her go. Instead, he would tame her and teach her to behave.

"You manipulative, treacherous bastard!"

"Whatever you call me, I won't let you go tonight. Tonight, you are mine." He laughed and pulled her closer to him.

"Li Luxian, please. This is not a way to treat your newly wedded wife." Chen Yi altered her strategy to pleads when she realized her threats were fruitless. In front of this man, she was powerless anyway.

Li Luxian tsked. "This pitiful face trick is not going to work on me" He knew what kind of a cunning fox Chen Yi was.

Chen Yi was at her last. She finally lurched forward and bit his arm, hard. Li Luxian was caught off guard and let go of her momentarily. Meanwhile, Chen Yi used the opportunity to slip away.

"Chen Yi, stop your struggles right now or I'll make you regret later!"

Chen Yi had barely taken a few steps when Li Luxian reached her in two huge big strides and captured her. She struggled fiercely this time with all her might making them fall down on the cold, wet grass. Li Luxian grabbed her wrists in his one big hand and pinned them down all the while straddling her waist in an attempt to control his wife that had gone berserk.

Chen Yi, realizing that her struggle was useless now, once again resorted to pitiful look.

"Li Luxian. How about this? We don't meet them today. We will meet them tomorrow. I'll come with all the preparations." Chen Yi proposed. Now that her movements were ceased, all that was left were her words.

By tomorrow, she will just simply fly away to another country never to come back again to avoid meeting them!

"This must be done tonight wife."

Chen Yi wanted to beat him. "There was no mention of being pulled in the middle of your family drama in the contract!" She objected giving rightful color to her argument.

"Some things come for granted and are not needed to be mentioned." Li Luxian slowly freed her arms intending to take her inside as soon as possible. They were already late. But just as his grip loosened, she went berserk once again. He tightened his hold.

"Do you like this position very much wife? We can always try it later in private" He said darkly piercing her with his intense gaze.

Only then Chen Yi stopped, embarrassed when she realized their compromising position. Her heart thumped loudly and her face burned. He was on top of her, straddling her and pinning her down. If anyone was to witness such a scenario, they would sure imagine a wide range of possibilities.

"That's better." Li Luxian was satisfied at her submission and finally let her loose.

"Why are you so scared? They are not going to eat you." He sat beside her.

"I just married their son behind their back." Chen Yi got up into a sitting position. Her voice was low. "They'll definitely not welcome me with open arms."

Li Luxian shook his head. "I couldn't imagine someone as unrestrained as you would be scared of something like that."

"I'm not scared!" Chen Yi defended herself. "It's just like that - how should I put it in words? - Like it is going to be very awkward and embarrassing."

Li Luxian stared at her and smiled. "You do not need to worry about a single thing. I married you. You are my responsibility. Just keep in mind, whatever happens, I'll stand by your side."

Once again, his words touched Chen Yi's heart.

"Would they hate me?" After a long silence, she asked.

"My mother and brother will love you. My father might look strict but he will also support you. As for my grandparents, it will take time for them to accept you." Li Luxian replied truthfully. He extended his hand towards her. His eyes gleamed with affection and sincerity. "Come with me. I'll never let anyone hurt you."

Chen Yi took a deep breath and accepted his hand.

The warmth radiated through his firm, soft hand soothe her fidgets and filled her with inexplicable strength. Li Luxian smiled at her and pulled her to him as they walked to the inside of the manor, side by side.

Li Luxian headed directly for the dining room. He knew what was happening there right now and how he must stop it. Everyone fell into silence once they stepped in.

"Li Luxian, so you are finally here.." His grandfather called out to him. His voice was strict and loud. No one else dared to say a word.

In the big, fancy dining room, a lot of people were crowded. Chen Yi recognized Wang Hualing, Wang Zhihao, Li Luixian grandparents and his parents. She could vaguely make out who was who. "What the hell?" She paled. The instant she regretted accepting his hand in the lawn.

"Didn't you say that there will only be your parents and brother" She whispered to him wanting to run away. But Li Luxian hod over her hand was not going anywhere. He tugged her closer to him.

"When did I say that?" With his mischevious smile, he denied shamelessly.

Chen Yi: "..." Shameless!

"Don't worry I've got a plan." Li Luxian squeezed her hand to calm her.

"I've decided with Wang Zhihao that your wedding with Wang Hualing will be held for this weekend. I'll personally make all the preparations." Li Fu Tong declared. no one seemed to have noticed Chen Yi's presence until now. In the heated atmosphere, it didn't matter.

In a distance, Wang Hualing could be seen hiding a smile. She had observed the woman by Li Luxian side. Through her eyes, she sent her a triumphant look. Nothing could stop Li Luxian from being hers now. She had already won.

"I'll not listen to you delay this wedding any further for random excuses." Li Fu Tong's tone was severe.

Chen Yi almost fainted. This was going in the wrong direction.

Li Luxian squeezed her hand to comfort her.

"Sure grandfather" Li Luxian was cheerful.

Elder Li felt satisfied. He thought that he must have to reprimand his grandson a lot to make him agree but with Li Luxian agreeing readily, a lot of trouble was saved.

"But first let me introduce my wife to you"

Everyone was taken aback.

Was it his so-called plan?
