" All right sll right stop." He stood forward and stopped Sebastian before he went any further.

" Can we speak to the leader of this place?" He asked with a smile. The opposite men held their weapons tightly and children started crying in the background.

" Mommy I’m scared."

" Shhh shhh it’s okay my child, lord Drago will protect us, the monster won’t get you."

His mouth twitched, he thought his smile had improved since nobody got scared when he smiled anymore.

" Ahahaha, move aside Khali, let me take care of this." Viona stood forward proudly and stabbed her sword on the ground.

" Now you lowly maggot, worship the great lord or perish by my blade." Her eyes blazed with flames as she grinned on them.

Now even the adults were crying and shivering in fear " DEMON." one of them shouted. She turned and looked at Khali and the others.

" What is wrong with them?" She asked with a confused look on her face. Sebastian coughed.

" Perhaps miss Viona and sir Khali should let me take care of this." They both nodded and Sebastian continued talking.

He didn’t have the vigor he started with but his words still oozed with confidence. " We would like to speak to the leader of this place please."

The muscular man called Drago stood forward. " That would be me." Sebastian took a step forward and bowed slightly.

" Pleasure to meet you sir, is there a place we can talk privately?" Drago looked conflicted.

He looked back at his people and sighed then nodded. The mage next to him looked confused and surprised.

They led the way, she whispered to his hear but Khali and Viona heard her clearly. " Why did you agree? I don’t trust these people." She whispered.

"Neither do I but what other choice do we have, they have more power than us, we can’t stop them if they try anything so why not cooperate to save our people."

She grew quiet after that but Khali could tell that she was still not happy. They led them to a large cavern.

Inside there was a table and chairs made of stone. They sat around the table and faced each other.

Drago raised his hand, " Before we begin, may I ask? How did you travel here under the sun?"

Khali grinned, " We used our cars of course." The mage and Drago looked at each both obviously confused.

" Cars?" The mage asked," Is that some sort of mount?" Viona giggled. " Ignorant." She puffed out her large chest in pride.

Khali shook his head, she also had no idea how cars worked but the way she’s so proud one might think she built them.

" We can’t explain the mechanics behind cars to you right now, we’re here for another reason.

We want you and your people to join us, be brethren under the rule of our God." Sebastian said with a kind elderly smile.

The mage shook her head. " No offence sir but we do not know what this God you speak of is, how can we accept their leadership then."

Sebastian smiled, " That is alright, I shall clarify who and what out God is." He started narrating.

The more the two of them listened the more surprised they were and more skeptical as well. The mage shook her head.

" Samantha." Drago called out trying to stop her but she didn’t listen. It was obvious he was more terrified of them than she was.

" I’m sorry but I find what you said hard to believe, beings like that cannot exist or this world would not be so messed up."

The moment she said that the place grew hot. Flame blazed on Viona’s eyes and she grinned.

However that grin made her look more dangerous. " Are you doubting our lord?" She pulled out her great sword.

Samantha started shaking. Khali raised his hand. " Enough Viona, they’re ignorant but it’s out duty to educate them, not punish them for it."

Viona calmed down and lowered her blade but she still looked angry at Samantha. Khali’s eyes watched Samantha intently.

" You’re a curious one, fine then if you want proof we shall give it to you." Khali had around 22 000 divine energy points. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

He could spare a few hundred to showcase his power. He clasped his hands and pretended to be praying.

" Great lord of dreams and magic, hear the pleas of your lowly servant and satiate my hunger."

He used more than a few hundred divine points, he decided to go an extra mile and use over one thousand divine energy points.

In doing so he created two things, a wooden plate and a roasted steak. The room was suddenly filled with a delicious smell.

Samantha and Drago gulped. They looked at the steak intently, they had never once smelled something like this.

It took them a while to register what had just happened then it kicked in. Samantha stood up almost causing the chair behind her to fall.

Her hood fell off showing her long red hair tied behind her head. " How....how is this possible?"

As an occult mage she knew a lot about the limit of magic and creating meat out of thin air was not within it possibility.

Not to mention she didn’t feel any mana, whenever magic was used there would always be mana disturbance.

Even if the user tries to mask their actions, there were always signs but there was none here.

It was as if the meat came out of thin air. Khali on the other hand was just hoping they listen.

He didn’t want to use more of his divine energy points but he would if he had to. There were many people here.

He needed the trust of all of them to gain the most benefits and violence would certainly not help with that.

They would fear instead of worshipping him and unlike the dark gods, he can’t accept divine energy through fear.

Only genuine worship and love. Samantha and Drago looked at each other and nodded. Dragon stood up.

" Tell us your terms." Khali smiled which caused both of them to flinch. " Simple, we want loyalty.

To our people but most of all to our God, in exchange we’ll give you safety, power and all the food you can eat."

They looked at each other, " Give us time to consider." Replied Drago. Khali grinned inside but his face remained cold and detached.

’ Got you.’ " we’ll spend the night if you do not mind." Then he turned and looked at Sebastian.

" Get a few warriors to bring out the cargo, we’re spending the night here."
