The golden divine blood flowed through the dragon's veins, pouring into his armor and runes.

The next second, the huge sword appeared out of the glimmer of light, its massive blade descending down with such a speed that it warped reality around it, the laws of relativity working as the time around the blade slowed down.

The runes on the dragon's armor flashed in golden color, and a barrier of golden light enveloped instinctively the part where the attack was falling down in a protective layer.

The blade fell upon the barrier, and golden and pure white light flashed. The dragon's and the angel's flames clashed and pushed against the golden barrier, cracks spreading through it and the armor beneath under sheer force.

A loud bang shattered the white world just as the dragon's domain, empowered by his crown, exploded out, pushing back the witness of purity. Everything returned back to the collapsing palace of black and the burning lands of fiery grass.

The palace collapsed and fell apart, with tremendous forces of elements clashing against each other in bright flashes of light and loud rumbles and bangs.

The lighting, light, fire, ice, white fire, curse power, and even radioactive particles clashed and pulverized against each other.

Twisters and tornadoes of elements were torn apart by rays of light descending from the sky.

The dragon's inner fire blazed up, and the divine energy, lifeforce, and mana flooded his muscles.

He felt strength incomparable to anything before. He felt like a demigod with divine energy circling through his body.

He moved and twisted his body into a blur of red, gold, and black as he grasped the sword between his claws. The energy from the blade kept blazing upon his claws, slowly but surely disintegrating the crystalline material.

He didn't even flinch and pulled against the sword. The angel's body flew straight from nowhere, heading against his waiting claws.

'So you have used your affinity with light to manipulate it and change what I saw... my eyes couldn't see through it as it wasn't an illusion, but reality as the light was physically altered through your domain, not through some cheap spells.'

The dragon's claws blazed in golden fire and lightning as they swung against the angel, crashing into and cutting into their bodies. Their armor creaked and cracked, the ice disintegrating and the angel's light fading.

The dragon didn't stop, his tail, wings, and clawed hands striking against the angel without any break, creating sonic booms with every move, leaving behind after images.

He felt the frenzy and the rage of the dead dragon. The adrenaline was pumping through his heart, making him forget the pain.

The angel's sword cut again and again, winds howling around its glowing blade, deflecting the dragon's attack in the wild melee battle, their crashes sending shockwaves through the crumbling palace of black and white.

The one sword competed against the onslaught of attacks just with its undiluted, impossible swiftness, making it look like a tempest of light.

The angel was becoming slower and slower, with its light fading as the wicked curse power augmented by the divine energy seeped into its body.

It slowly gained a red glint, and the disgusting veins of curse and poison pulsed all over its armor and body. 𝒇𝘳ℯe𝙬e𝘣𝙣𝘰ѵ𝒆𝗹. c૦𝑚

The dragon's lord's aura and the incomplete divine kingdom suppressed the angel, their bubble of influence surrounding their body shrinking.

The wall of fire, lightning, and tornadoes closed at them from all directions.

"So you are a dragon lord..."

The angel vanished again in a flash of light, appearing away between the black pillars supporting the sky of black stone. The elemental tornadoes around them immediately dissipated as if they had never existed.

The dragon opened his mouth one last time, his eyes brightly pulsing in red and gold.

He was going to finish it, his frenzy pushing back all the fatigue and pain spiking from his cracked armor and claws.

The divine energy flowed into his mouth, and more and more spell circuits flared up. He was going to use one surprise attack to finally end it, as his reserves of divine energy were running out, and the frigid feeling was becoming more and more agonizing.

The angel prepared their sword to defend itself, the white light shining from its body, burning away the curses and poison.

The next second, a golden beam exploded, but it vanished before leaving the dragon's mouth.

Vesuvius was ready to risk it and end it right there, 'Even if they attack back through the portal, it will shatter almost instantly, and I doubt they can push through my divine beam.'

The angel couldn't even react as the space above them shivered, and a beam of gold descended upon them.

The portal shattered from the inconceivable energy that just passed through it, but the beam had already hammered down against the angel, its entire body splintering and fading away.

The light of its sword increased as it prepared for one last move, but the beam from the dragon's mouth struck it from the front, too, the burning sea of destruction pouring from his mouth, the bright golden light enveloping the entire battlefield.

The angel disintegrated, and the golden beam continued into the distance, where it hit the ground, and a massive explosion of gold destroyed the dragon's black palace.

The angel's world of light vanished, leaving behind only the sea of lava and the black ruble of stone that used to be the dragon's palace.

It was over, and the reality changed again. Vesuvius was back in the physical world. His body was hurting from the frost spreading through it, and blood and magma leaked out of the sword cuts all over his body.

'When it happened?'

His battle frenzy subsided, and he could again feel the pain and the wounds he hadn't noticed before.

His head was spinning from the ocean-like amounts of mana that flushed through his body and the staggering amount of divine energy.

He was still shocked at how weird, fast, and intense the battle was.
