Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 146: Trial Of Water Part 10: First Blows!
The clash of blades from inside the temple sent shockwaves everywhere...
Darius wasn’t going to let her cut him down, it was a brawl like no other.
Acier saw Darius’ movements and knew that he wasn’t someone she would want to take lightly.
"I commend you, Child of Chaos," Acier kept her eyes on Darius, the warrior was known to be witty.
"But I don’t see why the Great Aereres would say to be wary of you."
Darius surprised scratched his head looking at her, he disnr know who Aereres was.
"I didn’t face anyone with that name."
’Fool, he’s the Dragon King of Fire. The first Trial and the owner of the Temple where you clashed with Pryion for the first time!’
Azree chimes in, and Darius smiles when his memory is refreshed.
"Oh, it’s not like I forgot entirely you see there are..."
Before Darius could finish talking, Acier was right in front of him.
"What in the hell?!" Darius in awe tried to jump away but before he could do that, Acier delivered a powerful kick to the groin.
Darius winced in pain, but he didn’t back down then.
He sucked in the pain and before the blow could push him away he landed a devasting punch to her face.
Both of them flew back...
Darius crashed into the temple pillars, and the sound of his bones resetting themselves could be heard.
[Notice! Regeneration Down by 75% Until Acier is Defeated!]
"Yeah, just what I needed."
Darius muttered, his grip on Ve’xa tightening as he sprang up.
"Alright, let’s dance!"
Like a speeding bullet, Darius bolted for Acier, his eyes letting out his signature crimson and jade glow.
Acier dusted her armor as she looked up seeing the crimson and jade blur coming for her at the near speed of sound.
"Insolent mortal."
She said before swinging one of her blades at Darius.
"Tidal Rage..."
She muttered silently, from nowhere a powerful wave came down slowing Darius down.
Our young warrior seeing that he can’t reach her on time decided to play along with her.
"Go Ve’xa!"
Darius swung his blade, the blade broke into its seven segments launching for Acier.
The tip of the blade hit the knight sending her crashing back. Seeing this Darius didn’t waste another second dashing for her, he wasn’t going to let her get the chance to strike back.
Acier got back on her feet in a matter of seconds, She knew that Darius wasn’t someone she was going to toy around with.
"Just like the evil powers coursing through your veins, you can’t be swept under the rug."
She got up, putting her blades together to form a huge chakram, and she elegantly swung it over her head looking at Darius as he kept charging towards her.
"Come to your death!" She yelled, hurling the chakram towards Darius.
Seeing the blade coming Darius tried to stand his ground and push it away.
’Move out of the way Darius!’ Azree warned.
Darius didn’t want to listen, believing that he could push the attack back and stand his ground.
"Don’t worry, this isn’t going to...."
On impact, Darius could see why Azree told him to move out of the way.
The blade didn’t even touch him but then he could feel the overwhelming pressure and force from it.
Darius stood there trying to push the blade back, blood dripped from his mouth as he tried to withstand the sheer force of the blade.
He pushed the blade out of the way using almost all his strength, the blade had not hit him but the wave from it sent multiple slashes on his body.
"She’s no pushover."
He looked at her, it was not something Darius often felt, he felt it when he faced Slav, when he faced Pryion, and when he faced Delriri.
It was a warning...
Darius looked at Acier, and the things Pryion had mentioned reflected in his mind.
"He did say that she moves like water, he wasn’t lying there." He said wiping off the blood from his mouth.
"Child of Chaos..." Acier picked up her chakram, looking at Darius.
"Please, call me Darius."
Our young warriors cocky voice rang across the temple.
"I apologize for not seeing you as a threat, I always thought that Slav would be the one to consume the powers of chaos. Not some witty mortal,"
Acier hung the chakram over her shoulders. Her eyes on Darius, her voice was calm and piercing.
"But don’t worry, I will give this fight my all now."
Darius smiled, he could see that Acier had recognized him as a formidable opponent and was going to take him seriously. "Hehehe, I will take it seriously too..."
Acier took a stance, her blue aura shattered the ground around her.
"Once I am done with you, I will go for your allies outside this holy ground."
Darius’s blood boiled when he heard what Acier said. Knowing that the moment she gets a chance that she would go for the others sent even more fear down his spine.
"Don’t you dare threaten my friends!" He growled, holding his weapon close. His eyes were on her as he was about to launch an attack.
Acier chuckled silently, as she shot a deadly glare at Darius. "So you love your allies?"
She took on step back, her eyes slowly closing.
"I will give them your head, before I take yours!"
"Bring it on Water Bitch!"
Darius dashed for her, his blade roaring as he was about to leap into the air.
"He took the bait...." Acier muttered with a smile on her face.
"Crescent Slash: Fall Of The Moon!" Acier roared sending two powerful hits to Darius.
Our young warrior saw the attack coming, knowing that the hits could kill him. And he was already midair to push himself away, it was a trap and he walked into it.
"Anatari Repluso!"
Darius used a spell to slow the speed of attacks, which was slowed down by ten times.
Acier didn’t waste time sending another slash for Darius, this time it hit our young warrior.
Leaving him with a deep cut..
Acier was delighted to see that she had hit him. "You don’t stand a chance to win this..."
Two powerful blows struck Acier on her groin pushing her down to the floor cutting her off before she could say anything.
[Phantom Blows Activated!]
Darius smiled seeing that the punches he threw midair landed.
"How dare you?!" Acier got up from the ground, her armor dented, and she flared up in rage looking at Darius.
"I will smear your blood across the temple floor!"
Darius staggered as he got up, his eyes cold as he stared at her. A weak evil looking smile on his face, he spat out blood on the floor slowly wiping his mouth.
"Don’t make promises you can’t keep."
