Darius, breathing heavily, sat down, his entire body aching from the clash. The temple had fallen apart from their brawl; the pillars were broken, and the altar was ruined.

’You did well, partner.’ Azree commented to Darius that the fight looked like it was not going to be in his favor, but his grit alone got him through.

The young warrior chuckled; his body was broken apart, but he had managed to win.

"This isn’t something I would have ever imagined doing in all my life, but I won against a powerful knight that should be ranked above SS-class threats." Darius lay down, he was too tired to move.

’You persevered; that is the heart of a true warrior. Now I believe you should round things up here and be on your way.’ Azree spoke up.

Darius was puzzled when he saw the notification. He was not sure what it meant, but he knew he was going to learn as he tried.

He got up and moved to Pryion’s dead body. He looked at it, and he could see that the knight had an odd look on his face.

"Such a scary warrior; he was not all jokes." Darius raised his hand over the dead knight and began absorbing the core.

The powers from the core were fiercer than anything he had ever tried to take, it burned his palm as he absorbed it.

But then, when Darius opened his eyes, he saw something strange. It felt like a memory. A young warrior with a family that seemed to be his wife and children.

He is the hero of his country, he was more than that; he was a legend. But the world was cruel to him, a great plague came as creatures from the abyss came from nowhere, slaying his family and people. He ran to the very being he had served only to be ignored, the being made a promise to him telling him that if he was to serve him then he would give him back all he had lost.

The knight worked hard; he persevered and gave it his all, soon becoming the Being’s champion. But he never got his wish granted, he only lived eons slaying anything the being ordered him to. He was given a cursed blade that would haunt him with memories of his family, leaving him a hollow shell of his past.

That was the story of Pryion the Valiant!

Darius stood there as tears streamed from his eyes; he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

"So this is what made you so bitter. You set out on a journey to bring back your family, but he never did anything for you, did he?"

He looked at the dead knight. He was not sure if he was going to be able to do it, but then he remembered what he saw.

"So, I have seen your past. You were a hero, a father, and a lover. You only did things to make sure that your family would be happy, and you were happy, too. Not just some knight forged in flames forced to fight for a king who ignored you." Darius smiled as he placed his hand on Pryion’s chest.

"You slayed millions and devoted your life to a king who never saw you as nothing but a tool, but you will become part of me; you will become family. Cinders to my ever-burning flame of chaos, Rise Pryion My First Fang!"

Suddenly, a high surge of power burst around the temple, shaking it to the core.

The knight was covered in a dark crimson cocoon. Darius stood back as he watched the cocoon do something to the knight’s body.

The cocoon broke, and the knight walked out, now coated in a Dark Crimson Aura, with a symbol on the breast plate of his armor. It was the same symbol on Darius’s right arm, the dragon coiled on a sword of flames.

Pryion was looking at Darius, he knelt in front of the warrior.

"I shall devote my life to you, Lord Darius!" The Knight said.

Darius smiled as he placed his hand on the knight’s shoulder.

"We are family now. I know I might not be your real family, but I will make sure that I treat you well."

"It would be an honor to serve you, my lord!" Pryion replied.

Darius smiled; he left the knight and turned. "Now for the real question: How on earth am I going to be walking around with a seven-foot-tall knight!"

A golden bracelet formed in Darius’s arm. He looked at it as it sent Pryion into the training dimension.

"Now let’s be on our wa..." Darius noticed something odd, he turned to look at the statue on the altar. He knew the Dragon King of Fire was looking at him.

"I know you can see me, I want to let you know this isn’t the end! Whatever you throw at me, I will take it down, and I will make sure you will fall!" Darius drew Ve’xa out of the inventory; he then swung it at the statute, breaking the head. "Mark my words!"

Darius placed the blade back into his inventory and began walking out of the temple.

The scales on his body began to fall off, he couldn’t even see where he was going. The pain from the battle kicked in, all the bones he had broken and all the cuts.

’Take it easy partner, you just need to walk out of here.’ Azree encouraged him.

Right outside the dungeon, Keith and Liu could be seen still waiting, worried looks registered on their faces.

"Liu, it has been seven hours, and he hasn’t walked out of there." Keith placed his hand on Liu’s shoulder. "I am sorry, but you will have to turn yourself in. I can’t even believe I am going to be doing this."

Liu let out a defeated sigh, he had also lost hope of Darius coming out.

He slowly turned to Keith with a smile on his face. "Make sure my family will be fine."

"I will." Keith smiled back as he was about to hold Liu.

"Someone is walking out! Someone is coming out of the dungeon!"

Keith and Liu turned; they were astonished to see Darius walking out of the dungeon shirtless, his pants burnt off, and his face all bruised up.

"I can’t believe it!" Keith’s mouth fell open, he was looking at Darius in awe.

"I told you! He is alive!" Liu ran for the warrior, he was happy and filled with joy. "Darius!"

Darius looked up, and he saw Liu as he waved his hand, but immediately, he fell flat on his face.

Liu rushed and placed his head on his lap. "Someone call an ambulance!" He yelled.

The dungeon gate slowly faded away. Keith was looking at it as he slowly turned his attention to Liu and Darius. He smiled.

"He did it..." Keith said as he walked to the both of them.
