Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 96: A Little Faith
Outside in the real world, the association had gotten the message that the dungeon had turned into an uncharted level. Liu and Keith had arrived at the spot, and they were looking at the dungeon gate, and they could feel the powerful, eerie energy coming from it. It was stronger than all the other uncharted ones they had seen.
"This is bad, this dungeon alone is giving off 50 times the energy that all the other uncharted that have appeared gave off." Keith was looking at the machine in his hands, he was looking up, and he could see that there was no way for anything to think of coming out.
Liu was looking at his own machine, and he had a worried look on his face, so he was not sure how he was going to be able to say anything. "It is a bit lower than the one Darius Winters went into last few months, so we shouldn’t be worried that much, should we now?"
Keith let out a sigh, he was looking at the dungeon. Anything that went close to it was violently repelled; it was like it was keeping things away while it had the warriors inside.
Scratching his head, he turned to Liu. "This is very alarming, I hope the chairman doesn’t get angry with the way things turned out."
"How did things turn out?"
Both men turned, and they saw Victor Hordes standing right behind them.
"Chairman?!" They said in unison that they had not expected him to be there.
Victor smiled as he looked up at the dungeon. He was not sure what he would call it, but he was seeing something that didn’t seem normal in any way.
"Now, this doesn’t seem right, does it?" Hordes walked close to the dungeon, the gate began pushing them back, trying to make sure that they would stay away from it.
"Chairman, I don’t think it is a good idea for you to go close to that thing for now." Keith tried to stop him, but he was not sure what he was trying to do, and they could see he was looking at the dungeon gate.
Victor turned back to look at them, he had a smile on his face. "Don’t worry, I am not going to do anything stupid."
He turned to look at the dungeon, and he felt it. The abnormal surge of mana coming from the dungeon and the thick, dark, misty fog, once he was like two feet close to the dungeon. He felt it, a repelling force, and it was not the type of thing any warrior would want to face. It was a powerful repelling force, Victor could feel it pushing him away.
’So that’s how it is, huh?’ He raised his hand and tried to touch the gate. Almost immediately, a violent black energy pushed him back a few feet.
"Chairman Victor!" Keith and Liu yelled. They were about to go closer to see what was happening with the chairman, but Victor raised his hand, telling them to stay back.
He had a smile on his face, but there was no telling what would happen if they all went close to the dungeon.
"I see, you are doing your best to make sure that none of us would interfere, aren’t you?" He looked up, nothing was going to get close to the gates.
Victor slowly turned back to the other two, and he could see the looks on their faces.
"Don’t worry, they will be fine," He began walking back to them, looking at the two officials. "We just have to put our faith in our beloved rookies."
Liu and Keith turned to look at the dungeon. They could feel the piercing energy coming from it but they knew if Victor said that it was going to be okay. It would be better to trust his words and have faith in the warriors.
Meanwhile, inside the dungeon, the warriors were still looking at the burning Orc, and they were still in awe, seeing the power of the knight who stood before them.
Nathan stood there, he was not even ready to believe that the knight was powerful enough to burn almost everything.
’If that thing can make sure that nothing would even stand in his way.’ He clenched his fists, turning, he saw Michael standing close to Darius. His heart burned with rage, trying so hard not to do anything. ’That warrior, he is the one. But how did he get so powerful?’
Nathan knew that with his team not there, he could not afford to make a feisty move. ’I will need to find an opening, and then I will make sure that he is not going to be a problem in my plans!’
Michael still stood close to Darius, he fought hard to break free from the trance he had entered when his hands touched Darius’s tattoo.
His face was drenched with sweat as he looked at our young warrior, who was still knocked out. He knew what he had seen was not just any vision, it was a glimpse of the warrior’s powers.
’Did I just see Dragons?!’ His mind was racing, trying to put things in place. ’This man, he is not someone ordinary. I mean we knew that, but there is something more to him that we are not seeing.’
Michael noticed that the wounds on his body had healed, but little scars were left; it was like his body was retaining evidence of what happened.
"Why aren’t you waking up?" He touched Darius’s forehead, trying to see if he would spot anything wrong with him.
"Is he okay?" A voice came from behind.
Michael turned to see the Transponder that Darius had brought back, and he nodded his head.
"Yeah, once he is awake. Then..." Michael paused when he felt the ominous energy coming from the place Ignor had landed. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Theo and Raya stood their ground; they didn’t know what was going on, but then it was also clear that the beast was not done yet.
"What in the world is going on?!" Raya was ready to draw her blade, she was looking at Pryion. "I thought he killed that Orc?"
"I don’t know what is going on, but it doesn’t seem to be normal!" Theo held his spear close to his chest. The waves from the Orc’s corpse were so strong, the warriors could stand because of their strength.
Pryion stood there, not flinching. The waves were not close enough to push him back. He picked up Isakador and looked at the Orc’s corpse.
"Stand strong, warriors!" The knight yelled, he was looking at the Orc. "This thing isn’t done yet!"
