Legend of Dragon Son-in-law-Chapter 454 - : Not Worthy of Being My Opponent_1
Chapter 454: Chapter 454: Not Worthy of Being My Opponent_1
When the experts crossed swords, whoever lost their composure first was the one who lost the upper hand.
However, when Julius Reed said this, it wasn’t to enrage Tate King.
It was a simple humiliation.
Since the fight had come right to his doorstep, it was only right to indulge in some verbal sparring first.
Insult first, then proceed.
“See these bodies on the ground?”
Tate King slowly took a step forward, his third hand drawing the longsword from his back.
“They made a fatal mistake, and you just made the same one.”
“Got any last words?” Tate King suddenly looked up, his eyes brimming with endless killing intent.
“None, I’m not one for chatter.”
Julius Reed took out his wallet and from it, he drew a gold card, “Take your pick, I’m buying today.”
“Oh?”
Tate King was stunned at first, then burst into laughter, “Young man, you are quite the comedian.”
Bodies were strewn between the two men.
But the way they talked to each other, they seemed like old friends, as if there were endless topics to discuss.
“I feel like I’ve seen you before.”
Tate King crouched down to grab a silk handkerchief from Kian Ridge’s chest and gently wiped the blood off his sword.
“Do we know each other? I just happened to pass by and saw a monster, that’s all.”
Julius Reed put his wallet back in his pocket, but the gold card remained in his hand.
Clearly, ‘I’m buying today’ wasn’t just talk.
If I say I will bury you, then you will be buried!
When the word ‘monster’ was uttered, Tate King’s sword-wiping motion noticeably halted for a moment before returning to normal.
“That will only make your death more miserable.”
Once he deemed his sword sufficiently clean, Tate King slowly stood up and looked straight at Julius Reed, “Although the one who was leading me here is dead, I believe you are the one.”
He lifted his eyelids slightly, “I can’t think of a second person who would court death in such a manner.”
“How can you be a Shadow Warrior if you can’t even recognize your target? Isn’t that a bit incompetent?”
Julius Reed couldn’t help but chuckle lightly, “What if you killed the wrong person?”
For a Shadow Warrior to not recognize their target upon encounter, there could hardly be anything more amateurish in the world.
“Shadow Warrior?”
Tate King shook his head, “That’s a task for the underlings. I am actually the chief of Deep Cold, one of the top three chiefs. It doesn’t matter if I kill the wrong person, I’ll just keep killing until I get the right one.”
As he spoke, his third hand slowly gripped the steel sword and started to advance step by step.
“Really full of yourself, aren’t you!”
Julius Reed said calmly, standing still.
Perhaps to others, the Three-Armed Underworld King was unstoppable.
But against him, even if it were the eight-armed Nezha, he’d have to leave behind eight arms.
“An expert is expected to be so.”
As Tate King walked, he examined Julius Reed closely and then shook his head, “I’m rather disappointed. Deep Cold’s chief actually died at your hands. I was expecting my opponent to be a monster, but you’re a bit too ordinary.”
Mid-speech, he suddenly dashed forward, and his steel sword cleaved through the air!
Stra![/p]
The sword’s blade, with its fierce wind, ripped through the air itself!
Shoo!
In response, Julius Reed’s gold card shot out!
Clang!
The steel sword struck the gold card!
It didn’t split into halves as one might have expected from a card struck by a sword.
The metal-crafted card, seemingly indestructible, knocked the steel sword right out of the air!
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Tate King staggered back several steps, a trace of gravity crossing his face.
“You’re strong, their deaths are not in vain.”
His one stroke was enough to sever a steel beam half a meter thick!
But faced with a mere card, it was deflected!
One could only imagine the strength of the other’s inner power.
“I’m in a hurry, let’s get on with it,”
Julius Reed glanced at his watch.
It was almost noon, and Quella Radcliffe should be in the midst of her lunch break by now.
After the Radcliffe Group gave out loans at the bank, there was no longer any risk of bankruptcy or collapse.
Now, Dempsey Davenport had full authority and controlled the group’s affairs.
Quella Radcliffe, meanwhile, was focusing all her energies on the business alliance.
Clear-eyed people all knew that this was a highly profitable deal.
Cosmo had always stayed by Quella Radcliffe’s side and by now should have been able to know what happened this morning.
The first day would definitely not be peaceful.
Therefore, Julius Reed didn’t want to entangle with Tate King for too long, aiming for a quick battle to rush to the company to pick up his wife.
Fighting was uninteresting to him.
“Although you’re strong, it doesn’t make any difference to me. After you die, I’ll kill your entire family as payback for you calling me a freak.”
Tate King slowly drew his steel swords with his other two hands, facing Julius Reed squarely for the first time.
The three steel swords, glinting with a cold light, looked extraordinarily glaring in the East Sea Cemetery.
Not far away lay the corpses of the Ridge Family.
“Have you chosen a grave site yet?”
Julius Reed pointed to the cemetery behind him, “After you die, I’ll bury you.”
“Keep it for yourself!”
Swoosh!
Tate King’s entire figure vanished instantly, then appeared behind Julius Reed without warning!
Three swords struck at once!
The sound of the sword wind breaking through the air was accompanied by an unmatched oppressive force!
“You’re planning to slay a dragon!”
Julius Reed smiled as he looked above at Tate King, suddenly producing a golden dragon whip in his hand.
Dragon slayers are certainly worthy of respect, but with so many eager to meet their end, who would remember them?
Clang!
Facing the ferocious murderous aura, Julius Reed’s golden dragon whip smashed down from the sky!
It collided heavily with the three steel swords!
Hum!
In an instant, leaves fluttered down from the trees in the East Sea Cemetery!
Crackle!
Julius Reed took three quick steps forward, whipping the golden dragon whip through the air!
Clang!
The first steel sword broke on impact!
He leapt forward, swinging down the golden whip again!
Clang!
The second sword broke!
“You are not worthy to be my opponent!”
Clang!
Julius Reed grasped the third steel sword with one hand, his wrist pressing down fiercely!
The steel sword shattered directly!
And at that moment, all Tate King had left in his hands were three broken swords!
“Who the hell are you?”
Though fierce, he was one of Deep Cold’s top executives, ranked fourth within the organization!
Just below the legendary leader of Deep Cold, the Dark Night Evil Dragon!
“I am a man…”
Julius Reed glanced at his watch, smiled faintly, and said, “who plans to pick up his wife from work.”
Swoosh!
The gold card that had been flung out earlier suddenly sliced through the air, returning to Julius Reed’s hand in a swift boomerang motion!
Tate King felt a murderous intent at his back and immediately dodged to the side, but the gold card still wounded him!
Clatter!
The third hand, bloody and severed, fell to the ground.
“Helping you become a normal person, I’ll waive the surgery fee. I’m generous like that. Also, have you chosen your grave site?”
The long whip in Julius Reed’s hand kept spinning at such speed that it made a sizzling sound through the air.
“This vengeance will be repaid twofold!”
Tate King planted the two broken swords into the ground and then pushed forward fiercely!
Whoosh!
A cloud of dust blew towards him, with the broken swords emitting an imposing aura of death!
“Break!”
Julius Reed swung the golden dragon whip with force, charging through the dust cloud!
But the figure in front had already disappeared.
“As expected of an executive, it’s a bit difficult to keep you here.”
He wiped the blood off the gold card and turned to walk toward the woods.
