Chapter 600: Chapter 600 Who Has the Harder Fist_1

Before long, the convoy slowly came to a halt beside an old warehouse near Gonzalez City docks.

This place was once a storage facility for overnight goods, but as Gonzalez City’s four new docks were established, it gradually lost its value.

Years had left marks of decay on it, yet, it wasn’t difficult to see how large this warehouse had been, and how splendid it had been at its peak.

“Almost ten years…” Fabian Percival stood at the entrance of the warehouse, lightly tugging at the swaying iron gate.

With the lack of maintenance over the years, compounded with the eroding force of wind and frost, the iron gate was now covered in rust, looking as if a strong pull might send it crashing down.

“Ten years ago, how glorious was this place? At dusk, countless barges would stop here, and the huge warehouse would be stuffed to the brim.”

His eyes brimmed with excitement, and even his voice became slightly choked up.

“Mr. Thorneycroft, all the bodyguards have submerged in hiding. Also, Fox Miller has returned,”

Brown Bread approached from behind Fabian Percival, speaking in a low voice.

Currently, they appeared to be only four or five people on the surface.

The rest were all hidden in the dry grass outside the warehouse.

A number of them hid inside the warehouse, completely invisible from the outside.

“Oh? Where?”

At the mention of Fox Miller’s name, Fabian Percival’s expression brightened, and he quickly turned to look towards the dock.

“Mr. Thorneycroft, I’m right here.”

With a voice rising, Fox Miller emerged from the brush, bloodied and haggard.

“Cough! Cough!”

After taking a few steps, he couldn’t help but crouch down and start coughing.

He appeared to be severely injured.

“Are you all right?”

Fabian Percival hurried forward, gripping Fox Miller’s arms tightly, he asked with concern, “What on earth happened last night?”

He only knew that Alonso Dragon had been attacked by a bodyguard just as he was about to succeed.

And Itai Huntington’s bodyguard took advantage of the chaos to steal the car and escape.

As for Fox Miller, the scene held nothing but a pile of bodies and no gains to speak of.

What pained him even more was that the spy he had painstakingly planted beside Itai Huntington had also died on the scene.

The spy was his eyes, his ears.

With these individuals, he could grasp the every move of the people around Itai Huntington.

But now, he had become blind again.

“Last night, a top martial artist appeared beside Itai Huntington. If I hadn’t fought desperately to flee, I might already be dead and unable to see you, sir,”

Fox Miller continued, coughing as he spoke: “I lost too much blood last night, hid alone in a decrepit dwelling until just recently when I woke up, then immediately called Brown Bread.”

“You should go back and recover.”

Fabian Percival looked at Fox Miller, saying with deep concern, “Nothing is more important than your health.”

He turned to the bodyguards behind him, “You, take the car and take Miller to the hospital, then head straight back to the hotel to wait for me. I’ll come to see you after I finish up here,” he directed.

“Thank you for your concern, Mr. Thorneycroft.”

Fox Miller bowed deeply and followed the designated bodyguard towards the vehicle.

“Brown Bread, arrange for someone to watch his every move. If there’s any disturbance, report to me immediately!”

No sooner had they left, than Fabian Percival’s expression turned immediately grim.

“Mr. Thorneycroft, Fox Miller is one of your four industrial diamonds, always known for his bravery,”

Brown Bread finished speaking, a note of confusion in his voice, “The injuries on his body are not fake, he’s indeed seriously wounded. Mr. Thorneycroft, don’t you even trust him?”

While living abroad, Fabian Percival’s team had four of the strongest fighters, who were known as the four industrial diamonds.

These four were Fox Miller, Zadok Ridge, Brown Kims, and Rocco Leocadia.

Even though he was expanding abroad, Fabian Percival always believed that those not of his kin, would have different intentions.

All his confidants were Easterners living abroad.

Zadok Ridge and Brown Kims stayed abroad to manage the business, while Fox Miller came to Gonzalez City with Fabian Percival first.

And Rocco Leocadia was five hours away from arriving in Gonzalez City.

Arriving with him was a large contingent of dedicated fighters.

“In these extraordinary times, I can’t trust anyone.”

Mr. Thorneycroft, with his hands clasped behind his back, said indifferently, “Brown Bread, it’s not that I don’t trust Fox Miller, but everyone else is dead, and only he has returned. Do you think that makes sense?”

“Fox Miller is highly skilled; I’m not surprised. If he wanted to escape, there are few in the world who could stop him.”

Brown Bread responded without evasion.

The Four King Kong, true to their names, each possessed greater combat strength than the last.

“Perhaps that’s true, let’s consider it a test for him,” Mr. Thorneycroft said slowly as he looked at Brown Bread’s face. “It’s a test for you too. If Gonzalez City wraps up smoothly, I’ll entrust you with more significant responsibilities.”

“Thank you, Mr. Thorneycroft.”

Brown Bread clasped his fists and bowed deeply.

“Gonzalez City is too big, and I’m getting old,”

Mr. Thorneycroft turned and surveyed the dilapidated warehouse before continuing deeper inside.

The warehouse, which had not seen visitors for years, was filled with rubbish and even the concrete floor had started to sprout weeds.

Mr. Thorneycroft walked further in, finally arriving at a small room.

“I used to live here,”

he said, pushing open the wooden door of the room, which was covered in cobwebs.

“Pff!”

Mr. Thorneycroft lightly dusted himself off, unconcerned about the dirt staining his clothes.

This was where he had started his rise to power.

“Hello!”

Just then, two people were found sitting on the old wooden bed in the room.

“Protect Mr. Thorneycroft’s safety!”

Brown Bread, quick on his feet, pulled Mr. Thorneycroft behind him!

Whoosh!

The next moment!

A long knife sliced through the air.

“Protect Mr. Thorneycroft!”

Brown Bread’s forehead was covered in sweat.

If he had been even half a step later, Mr. Thorneycroft would have undoubtedly been killed.

“Not bad, kid.”

Karen emerged from the room with a grin, eyed Brown Bread for a moment, then turned to Mr. Thorneycroft, “Old man, we were doing just fine here. Why did you have to come and disturb us?”

“Two of you?”

Mr. Thorneycroft, having weathered many storms, took only a few seconds to recover from the assassination attempt.

He looked at the two – an older and a younger one, nodded his head, and smilingly said, “You must be the Shadow Warriors sent by Julius Reed, aren’t you?”

“What are you talking about, Mr. Ghost!”

Karen, displeased, wiped her dagger, “Do you really think this place belongs to you? I was sleeping just fine until you disturbed me! I’m pissed off now and feel like killing you.”

“How audacious! How dare you be so presumptuous in front of Mr. Thorneycroft!”

Brown Bread wiped the sweat from his brow and stood in front of Mr. Thorneycroft, “Take down these assassins!”

“Ptui!”

Hearing his words, Karen spat on the ground, “How did I become an assassin? Is this warehouse yours? What, just because you’ve got numbers you can throw reason out the window?”

“Heh, quite the tough talker.”

By this time, dozens of bodyguards had already surrounded Mr. Thorneycroft, ready to spring into action at the confirmation of the two assassins’ presence.

“Capture them alive!”

“Understood!”

Following the order, Brown Bread cracked his neck, ready to strike.

“Terry Moore, I’m being bullied here; let them learn whose fist is harder!”

Karen dodged backward, and Terry Moore stepped forward saying, “Here I come.”
