Legendary Shelter Survival Guide-Chapter 223: Future Plans (2)
At first, it was very boring to read everything but with each fact and guide, Lucas’s mind dwelled more and more inside the texts.
After the roles could be allocated, there were many more things the leader had to do.
Most were taking care of the statistics and everything but overall, there were many things he needed to implement for his territory to flourish with a strong foundation.
With each text he read, it was as if the gears in his brain were moving 10 times the speed of his actual self.
’I have to talk with someone.’ Lucas’s eyes flashed with insight when he opened yet another hologram through which another opened.
He was going to call his mother yet saw that he had actually fulfilled the quota for the day.
There were many more but not one as skilled in these kinds of insightful things as his mother.
Lucas did not go to John as he himself wanted to make things much more clearer and concrete before going to him.
’There are some basic things that should be inside a territory for it to grow, it starts with medieval knowledge from what I can understand and then goes to the advanced times again.’
Lucas quickly took the small rock from the side and started scribbling on the slate that he had made from the concrete.
After scribbling for a long time, he was finally done. With a good enough handwriting, he had written many words that he looked at for minutes in order to brainstorm.
The first was Mason, a type of job in medieval times that helped build structures with bricks and stones.
’I don’t have a need for this job, Mike can take care of all the construction… but wait, can he?’ Lucas dwelled more on the topic and realized something.
While Mike had the ability to build things with the soil and other stuff from scratch, he did not work fast because the mana usage for his skill ’Geomancy’ was high and at the end of the day, the guy was a human.

Humans need rest and so does Mike, Lucas knew to be more productive and efficient, there was a need to employ other people to help him.
’I could get ahead of many other territories with the help of Mike’s skills but he needs to improve it a lot more… And some more people to make these houses and facilities faster than the others.’
So, in conclusion, Lucas decided that the masons or overall construction men were needed in the territory.
Second came the Blacksmith, an occupation that was a need for a medieval territory such as his.
Blacksmith was all about forging tools and weapons from scratch by using raw products.
Lucas counted the 11 people in the shelter and thought about who among them could become a blacksmith.
’None…’
Lucas scratched his head with a sigh, while there were 11 people in the shelter including him, none could be the blacksmith.
They all already had some very basic roles that were needed by the shelter as well as the territory.
But a blacksmith was a must.
Next came, Farmer. Something that was needed the most.
While Lucas now believed that their trade for meat had become pretty great, it would diminish soon.
While the others don’t possess the time or skill to butcher and skin, there will come a time when they all will find a way to do it on their own.
Now, they won’t be as efficient as Lucas’s dissection skill but the bare minimum was doable.
In that case, while also hunting for meat, Lucas would need a new source of food which is, crops.
Crops would make the food problem diminish completely if everything went right and normal.
There were many more provided in the guidelines such as Woodsman, Potter, Weaver, leatherworker, brewer, Miner, Fisher, Scribe, and many more.
The list was unending but there were many that he didn’t need for a long time.
These included more such as Miller, Engineers, Scientists, and many more.
’For now, I have to complete the bare minimum. But for everything to start, I need more people.’
Lucas looked at his creature radar again and saw the one human in it among the many creatures, the list had become very big for some reason and a lot of new and unknown names were there.
Finding that human was the main goal after finding the Kobold hideout.
Lucas stretched his body in exhaustion, while his body was ready to go for more, his mind was exhausted yet he didn’t falter.
Finding more information was the way to go.
On the 10th page of the guidelines, there was a requirement after setting up the foundations.
Now, if these foundations were set up or not, these were all up to him and his friends. There were no completed missions after setting it up making it much harder to perceive the results.
’Make a substantial breakthrough with your previous world’s knowledge, now that seems to be tough.’
This was what was being explained on the tenth page and it was unending, Lucas was pretty surprised by how thorough it was.
’Hmm… what can be that breakthrough? Making something? Or will it be science stuff that I don’t understand? Fuck, there are so many possibilities.’
Lucas delved into these thoughts with more precision. For some reason, he was much better at thinking than he was previously.
Maybe it was the reason that he was now more desperate to find something to do than normal. But it was doing wonders.

Soon, Lucas even thought about bringing back electricity but he didn’t understand the process behind it at all.
Suddenly, attending the science class with full focus felt like a good idea ruining his mood even further.
TING TING TING
"Hm?"
Lucas accepted the call from a person he was not expecting from. It was the only person that was outside the shelter other than Mike.
"Hey Bill, what’s up? Any trouble?"
