Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 211: Operation Set Up Cavern (9)
What constitutes an area of land being elevated to the status of a village?
Well, back in ancient times, it would require there to be houses for the inhabitants to live in, a central point of congregation such as a church or market, and last but not least, a sense of community.
While it may seem extremely vague, thanks to the introduction of the Traveler's Display and, for lack of a better example, Genovia, there is an entire system for such things.
Through the TD, Travelers are given a set of stringent qualifications that can be observed after their Flume is linked back to Terra, and Aoni, knew exactly what he needed to do.
Technically speaking, there are hundreds of different ways for a piece of a Lord's territory to earn the classification of a Village, but in the end, it really boils down to five key factors.
1: Residential Dwellings
2: A Population with 5-10 beings
3: 2 means of sustaining the population, such as with agriculture, raising animals for food, or a water source, or something of that nature.
4: A central plaza.

5: Lord's Manor
Once all five elements are assembled and verified by the Traveler's Display, the second portion of a Lord's power is then showcased, in the form of the new and, for anyone else, third panel: the Lord's Display.
It's this very display that is the reason behind Aoni only calling the 3d rendering established by using multiple Nodes as a "Mock-Builders mode."
By utilizing their Lord's Display, travelers can get a full aerial view of their villages, towns, or cities through the same transparent window as their stats, and that's where things begin to take shape.
Adding structures, shifting things around, setting up arrays, it can all be done using the same format as the Mock-Builders Mode, only this one is the REAL DEAL because so long as it falls within the Lord's territory, they can see it all.
From enemies trying to invade, inhabitants, or even the cash flow or food stocks, it is all manageable through the Lord's display so long as the Traveler has the necessary "Add-Ons."
What kind of Add-Ons, you may ask, well as it has been explained time and time again, the TD and subsequent windows are basically just for visual purposes only, and as such, there exist several artifacts that can link up with the Traveler's displays, kind of like using a thumb/flash drive on a computer, er… if the computer was a giant useless brick only capable of presenting information.
Standing atop the overlook and observing the lake below with Nyria by his side, Aoni imagined placing down all the parts required for his Village to come to fruition.
"And that's what we need to do. Did you get all of that, Nyria?" That's right, that whole info dump from a few seconds ago, that was being told in real time to Nyria.
{'So we gots to build houses get peoples, make a place for foods, and a plaza thingy? Um, Brother, what is a Central Plaza?'} Looking up at her Lord with innocent eyes filled with confusion, Nyria asked, causing Aoni to give her a few gentle head pats.
"Basically, it's like what we did with the campfire, a place to be together and eat meals or just hang out; we need one of those placed somewhere around here."
"Right now, none of that is the issue; for now, our biggest problem is going to be something WAY different, and that is making sure everyone can breathe." Sitting down on the ledge and dangling his feet off the side, Aoni looked out toward each of the places where there was once an exit from the Cavern.
{'But we can already breathe; why is that a big problem?'} Hopping twice to be side by side with Aoni, Nyria asked while fluffing her feathers and sitting down next to him.
"How do I put this…so, you know all the tunnels we sealed up, well technically, they are a way to not only let fresh air come into the cavern from outside but also allow the stale air we breathe out to disappear."
By closing the cavern off from the outside, there is a limit to how much air can be stored within the space, so we have to set up a way to achieve the same effect.
{'That is a bad thing, so what are we gonna do, brother?'}
"Well, that, my dear Nyria, is something a bit more complicated to understand. But don't you worry that little head of yours…"
Pat pat
"You're big brother has it all figured out." Giving her a few more head pats and a bright smile, Aoni opened up his inventory and withdrew a handful of small rocks.
"These here are Nodes of Summoning; all I gotta do is activate them and press it against the flume, and WOOSH, I can guarantee some good stuff." Holding up one of the Node Stones, Aoni showed off the runic scrip, which took the form of a small bush or grass; it's hard to tell because the image is faint due to it being Gradeless.
Node Of Summoning: Foliage
Yep, it was basic as hell, and to be honest, Aoni had bought out just about the entire stock of these Nodes the instant he saw them, all in hopes of getting a certain type of plant, Cave Moss.
As long as he could obtain a few of them, creating an oxygen-rich environment wouldn't be much of an issue.
Unfortunately, although he'd be able to guarantee summoning 1-2 plants, the chances of him getting the particular one he wanted were slim; thus, he had stocked up on over a hundred of these bad boys.
Just about the only thing Aoni had going for him with these Nodes of Summoning was the fact that whatever came out of the Flume would be able to survive in his territory, so even if he didn't get the moss he wanted, there would surely be enough plants that he could create a full oxygen cycle.
As for whether or not he'd be able to add points to these plants, that was something he planned on testing; at least in that way, Aoni wouldn't be losing out too much financially in comparison to if he were to try doing it with beings from higher grade Nodes.
