Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 276: The Difference Between Nodes (2)
Fwoosh, CRASH
"WOOF WOOF!"
"Gaoo GAOOO!"
{'Faster Glaci Fasterr!'}
{'You too swow Bwixy!'}
Looking out the third-story window of the Cavern's library, Aoni couldn't help but shake his head and smile at the sight of a blue missile and a white missile zipping around outside.
'I don't know if I should be happy that Glacia finally has a friend that can keep up with her or worried that she's found a friend that can keep up with her insanity.' Aoni mused while turning away from the wall-sized shelf housing hundreds of books and heading down to the first floor.

BOOM
Dropping a pile of translated books down on the table, Aoni sighed and noticed that Charlotte had moved away from where he'd been dropping off new books in favor of a position near the fireplace and giant window.
"Let me guess, you wanted to watch those two play as you read, " he said, walking up and leaning against the back of the plush couch his sister had taken up residency on.
"Umu, Blixt is a cute little guy, a bit rambunxious like Glaci, but the two are simply adorable together," Charlotte stated with a faint smile as she closed the book and placed it atop the ever-growing stack on the floor.
"I mean, you ain't wrong, but you saw what happened back at the Manor, hahhh kinda reminds me of how Mom always used to yell at Clara and Ant when they'd roughhouse inside." Right as he said that, the two siblings shared a knowing smirk and repeated the same phrase.
"TAKE IT OUTSIDE, OR SO HELP ME IF YOU TWO BREAK SOMETHING, I WILL BEAT YOU TILL YOU CAN'T SIT DOWN!"
"ppfftt." Sputtering as he finished the phrase they'd heard time and time again as kids, Aoni and Charlotte laughed for a minute at the memory before he changed the topic.
"Any leads yet?" he asked while gracefully hopping over the couch's back as Char lifted her legs and then dropped them into his lap.
"Nothing solid; they are mentioned across several forms of literature, from the history books to military transcripts, but I haven't been able to find out their purpose."
"From what I can tell, the old nodes work the same way as the ones we normally use, but it's clear there's something off about them." She said while picking up another book and rapidly flipping through its pages in such a way that if Aoni didn't know any better, he'd believe her to be messing around.
"Same for me, there haven't been any details in what I've found either, apart from how they are used, it's like the information was never figured out, or they believed the nodes to be completely random. I've already checked everything back in my office library, but even the high-cost books don't give us any more info to go off of." Following his sister's example, Aoni began flipping through a book, albeit at a much slower pace since he couldn't read even a fraction of the speed Char could.
---
The library, as Aoni called it, was exactly as one would expect: a large three-story building packed to the brim with his collection of books acquired from the ruins.
Some from the Mage Tower, others random finds by Anthony, and of course, a large sum of which came from the Treasury itself; as for the organization, well, that was a joint effort on the part of Aoni, Nyria, and Charlotte.
Thanks to his Inspection Display, he was able to see quite a bit about the book's contents; however, the most important thing he looked for when categorizing everything was the Translation cost.
From his experience, if the book cost thousands of points to translate, the information was probably better kept close, as it was an important text or something that could be dangerous in the wrong hands.
Using this method, the first floor of the library held books whose translation cost was under 10 progress points, the 2nd floor 11-50, and the top floor was where he kept any books with a cost between 51 and 100 points.
Anything more expensive than a hundred points was automatically kept in the Manor.

After finding out there was something off about the ancient Nodes, Aoni decided it was better to investigate them more before creating another incident where he accidentally summoned four more monsters out of the blue, especially highly intelligent ones such as Kuro or Malys.
So, for the past four hours, Aoni and Charlotte had been hard at work, combing through the library in search of answers.
However, not long after their brief conversation, the door to the library flew open, and soon enough, two sets of emerald eyes were sitting on the floor in front of Aoni and Charlotte.
"whinneee."
"gaoooo."
{'big brother we hungry….'}
{'Brodder hungy…'}
"I'm quite famished myself, Ao…" Suddenly, a third pair of emerald eyes were directed at Aoni, causing him to slowly close his book and look between Blixt, Glacia, and Charlotte.
"When the heck did I become the chef…"
"The day you became a traveler." Char rebutted, causing Aoni to shrink into the couch as if hiding.
"Ughh…okay, okay, stop giving me that look, especially you, Glacia…wait a second…" Narrowing his eyes and examining the facial expressions of his two summons, Aoni noticed that Glacia's eyes kept flicking toward Blixt along with her, subtly nudging the new summon.
"You…did you teach him to do your begging act?"
"Meep."
"Boow?" Unlike Glacia, who knew she was in the wrong, Blixt tilted his head to the side, causing his ears to flop over adorably.
"Cute…" fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"Char, don't encourage this…"
---
{'Lunch time everyone, head back to the Manor.'} Stepping out of the kitchen and watching Glacia try teaching Blixt how to sit at the table properly, Aoni sent out the call to the rest of his summons so they wouldn't miss out on a meal while Charlotte helped him set the table.
This was going to be the first group lunch, so he enlisted his sister to help cook this time around. They'd made quite a spread since neither knew what the wolves would enjoy eating.
